I am soooo late to this video but, I just wanted to say I love how much time, energy, and thought you put into choosing which apartment! I appreciated how you went for more practical versus aesthetic/luxury because I feel like that’s not always the case in the TH-cam space! This just feels so much more relatable!

To avoid the application fee issue with the Phoenix property, most places will usually let you apply and then transfer your lease to a unit that opens prior to your lease beginning. No sure if it's too late for that though!

I recognize one of the units you toured as I used to live there around 5 years ago! While I loved living there, I will never forget the time one of the older tenets ( who lived in the upper units by the pool) began throwing fruit off the balcony down at people in the pool area. According to some of my friends who also lived there she did this on more than one occasion. LOL
Love the real life issues videos. I am moving also quite literally around the same time as you. My lease ends at the end of June. Moving across the state as I also work remotely. I get to pack and move myself as movers are out of my budget. I am already packing up as I type 🙃 Price and the ability to do your job is the most important thing. Once you have that everything else is just something to get used to. Trust me I am mid 50s and have moved at least 50 times in my life. Wishing you good luck with whatever you decide and may your moving go smoothly. If you do move I'm looking forward to the moving vlogs and any decorating videos.
A year later lol... I actually live in that Biltmore area for almost 6 years. And I've apt hunted a lot, and I used to advertise for a lot of the complexes. But anyway, I'm about to move and apt 3 is my most likely choice, only thing is, is that when you come out the complex, you can only go one way I think. Idk if there's a back way... but for the area the price is good. That apt 1, I toured it when it opened and it was actually my favorite for the price, buuuut I need a certain style, maybe they'll have the one I want when I move... the 2nd one, the outside is great but the inside is regular. But 8 feel the same way as you do. I don't want an outside apt. I want the gate code key fob elevator stuff. Plus in the summer time you can keep your car cool because of the parking garage. I need 1st floor because I have electric drums lol... and to comment on the agents, yeah they're weird. I was in advertising for homes and Apts for 8 years, so I understand. But this is my favorite area. I actually cruise around 3am, sipping coffee, on my days off...

This is exactly my thought process when I looked for the house I'm in right now. It takes a lot of compromising to determine the best option for your lifestyle. On the bright side you're renting so per say you move to the Scottsdale location & you realize you really don't like it for some reason you have the luxury to move out when your lease is up. The way you're handling your moving by determining the pros and cons I think is the smartest way to make decisions because you can figure out your non negotiable and see what you may need to compromise & if it's worth it! I'm confident that you'll figure out the best decision based on the financial goals you have set in place for yourself, your small business, filming for TH-cam, and simply just change. :) Excited to hear/see what you end up choosing!
Id go with the 1st one from this video since youre saving $800 even though you're not getting the island. You could always buy one for a good price either off Facebook marketplace or online or wherever.
if you do end up 100% going with the apartment that's parking is uncovered i would recommend a sunshade for your car if you don't have one it can help a lot for those hot days or just to have a little bit of shade in the car also i can't believe the amount you would be saving if you move because that's a lot
Also... my current complex does the 60 days advance bs. I'm like, idk where I wanna live that far out. Really I'll know 5 days before lol. So I'm stuck at this place, but they didn't raise my rent and they gave me $500 to stay, so I'm like ok. But yeah oooh shower head is important. I gotta have the handheld thing with 10 functions lol. I just bought a new one, so my next place needs all the stuff that those Apts have, w/d, patio, elevator, huge closet... ok , I'm done typing

As a lady living alone, I would suggest getting a security bar for your door if you don't already have one! My friend has one and it works so well! I think Scottsdale is a perfect choice! 💃🏽💃🏽
Hey! I grew up in the area you are looking in, I recognize most of the background. Anyways, yes there is so much in the area! Way more stuff for people our age than there is in old town. Plus old town is just a short drive away if you still want to hang around there.
Love all these apartments. I do live on the 1st floor in my apartment but feel safer because it’s a double lock system (outside building door you need a key and individual apartment unit you need a different key). Also I don’t have a patio even though I would really love that extra outdoor space and each building is only 8 units.
@@KeeganActon somewhat because I do have one of the units in the front of the building. My building is in the back of the complex so it’s mainly only people who live in the building or their guests and package delivery people. I keep blinds closed at night or when I leave and expect to get home after dark. My living room window has a couch in front of it so that blocks half the view from the outside. Kitchen/dinning is right by my table so sometimes I do close when eating and bedroom I keep closed most of the time. I do have some pros though with my parking lot view. Number one I can see my car parked from my apartment and number two If I’m at apt and expecting a package I can see when it gets delivered
I might be biased but I live in old town and I think it’s sooo much more fun and safer than most areas in Phoenix. You really should explore the old town more! I love this area. Also I have friends that live at the one apartment (in your first video) you toured by the hotel in old town by the circle K and it’s a super nice space!
I think between the money you will save and the space and lighting you'll have for your businesses you've made the smartest decision for yourself. Aesthetics are fun... But your primary concern has been with financials recently. I think once you are settled in you will be able to breathe a bit easier. Plus fresh starts are always exciting! I can't wait to see the moving vlogs!!
Apartment #1(Phoenix)is so nice and my favorite and I am so sorry about the leasing situation of apartment #2 and apartment #3 I would do apartment #1 in Phoenix!
Just fyi a lot of apts let you apply for one unit and then as long as u haven’t signed the lease if another pops up you can switch over. But ask first! That way you don’t miss out on specials that are time sensitive.
Keegan, have you thought of telling the complex you’re thinking of moving and see if they can give you a discount on rent if you stay? I’m sure they’d rather you stay than risk vacancy if you move.
i asked them and they dont do that :( they increased my rent instead lol. i think its because my building is owned by a company and not an individual landlord

I am such an excel spreadsheet girl as well. I litterally will map every major decison with an excel spreadsheet. Pros and cons split by category, requirements vs wants, weighting of the different categories based on importance. I am so happy I am not the only one who does this. I am also so excited i got the notification my typo crewneak is arriving today took a total of 15 days to get from the USA to Aus - which isnt' that bad. It was 5 days to get to Australia, then there was a 3 day long weekend so nothing happend, 6 days waiting to get transfered to an Aus shipping company (2 of them were the weekend), 1 day to delivery to me. Update: Gordon home from work and tried it on. It is so soft and comfortable. We have just had a cold snap and mornings are like 5 degrees Celcius so could not have come at a more perfect time.

Have u consider the package pick up for u I know u are having a lot of trouble with getting your packages at where u are now. Also I know the Scottsdale apt is nice but I would not want my nice car sitting out. Otherwise all the rest seams great. I would be guarded on the Phoenix apt after how and what the people said to u. Please becarefull.
