I somehow agree, my favorite cover and tone s his “Children of the Grave” he put there all his energy and passion (love that dead flats sound) and somehow did it on his way, here is very similar to Steve Harris and not to interesting to me, chops are always there 💪👍
Over the years I've grown to prefer the really rattling tone with boosted treble, for Iron Maiden, almost because in most other types of music bassists are running away from that, and really that's the natural sound of a bass guitar, and I think Ian Scott agrees with me.
