Mood Bracelet - Jewelry Making

In this video Kelly will be showing how to make a bracelet using 14mm round mood stones. This project is great for any level beader.

To make this bracelet you will need:
*(6-9) - 14mm Round Mood Stone
*4 grams - 15/0 Miyuki Seed Beads
*6 grams - 11/0 Delica Beads
*2 grams - 11/0 Seed Beads
*9-12 yards of your favorite beading thread
Size 12 Beading Needle

Love this project! I took my eleven year old grandson to the museum during his spring break. He bought a mood ring at the souvenir shop. The ring kept turning purple on him which was "a romantic mood" according to the card. He said, "Nana, I have to tell you the truth. I AM thinking about my girlfriend and bringing her to the museum for a date!" Lord have mercy! I don't know what we're going to do with little Romeo! 😂

Back in the '70s when Mood Rings were first popular, I noticed that mine didn't work like it was supposed to. Instead of showing my body temperature, it showed the temperature around me. Since I live in California, that meant it was blue 99% of the time.

Would you ever teach a koomi? Himo disk beaded necklace with eleven's. I would like to make a landlord for my glasses. I can't find anybody that can teach it any better than what you would teach it. I haven't found anybody actually online. That would teach it. Please

I am making the second bracelet using these Mood stones. Kelly want a fun project! I do have a question. I am using Miyuki Galvanized Gold Duracoat in the 11/0 and 15/0. Has anyone had trouble with the gold color wearing off? I am just trying to think in advance as this is an order for a customer. I already used them on my bracelet.

Any galvanized bead, the finish can come off. When using galvanized beads you want to make sure to use Duracoat or Permafinish coating on them. These coatings are more of a permanent finish BUT with that being said, if someone has a lot of acidity in their skin, the finish can still come off. I have a great free PDF on my website that’s all about bead finishes and the good/bad of each.
