Bullshit. Lenka is just an Eren clone. Angry and screaming all the time and definitelynot suited to be a leader which is why it's a good thing they stopped the anime before it got to that point. Yuu is a chill, charismatic leader who gets shit done and he has always been the canon protagonist of the first God Eater including all of its related manga and light novels, and the spinoff game God Eater Resonant Ops confirms this.
Yuu talks more and shows some expressions here.. So, he does have a personality..
