for retail anxiety - I've worked in retail for 6 years and it's never ever personally offensive if someone doesn't want to buy something! The staff also probably agree with you that it's expensive stuff so they would never judge for not being able to afford something when you ask the price :)
Rosie Olivia wish more people thought like you! I personally also feel very anxious every time I say I won’t buy something and try to find another reason for why I’m not buying it apart from the price 🙈😂
@@razzuie for any snooty customer service reps (I bet most of them aren't and its cause its more of an intimidating environment than the individuals) my advice is saying "I'll have a think about it", its like polite code for no 😂
I love love love that you've taken a run and are making sure to try and be proactive against possible side effects of accutane, a true self care queen aw
As some one who worked at the till for many many years, as long as you smile, say it nicely and say please and thank you, you cashier will not think twice about you asking how much each product was or saying you’ll leave an item. As long as you’re super polite you’re probably never going to see them again 🙌🏽 I know it’s easier said than done but they probably serve hundreds of people a day and even if you are awkward as long as you’re polite they won’t batt an eyelid 💕💕
@Alessia N But some people just don't have a clue. It's not a matter of age. I mean maybe she does know but to me even though she's "already" 23, she seems very young, like when she was 21, I though she was 14-15. She just seems very innocent.
i have such bad anxiety with spending money. I even hate when i have to fill up my car with gas because i get the buyer's remorse even though i NEED GAS TO DRIVE... it's crazy
VASI G honesty amazing. I had acne for 7 years plus and nothing else helped- I didn’t have any section of my face that wasn’t full of painful, angry looking acne. Ever since accutane my skin has been basically completely clear - very rarely I get one spot. I never thought it would be possible!
The Kiehl’s midnight recovery oil is EXTREMELY fragranced - it says it’s natural essential oils but they can be just as bad as chemical fragrance!! A great alternative for acne scarring is the ordinary 2% alpha arbutin in hyaluronic acid xx
Bethany Gallagher they are horrible for the skin that’s not even the purpose of them I don’t understand how they can even use them in skincare I got a rash and a burn all over my face and I couldn’t use any skincare after because my skin was wrecked after accidentally using a product with essential oils in it 🤦🏻♀️
Grace as a retail employee I actually get anxiety telling customers the total price when they're checking out because I find prices so expensive, so know that it's not just on your end if you find something too expensive! It is totally ok to say "actually I'm not going to get that one today"
Oh taylor quit your job and move back in with mommy. Life is to hard for you having to tell ppl the total price of there purchase. Those poor ppl are you ok hun.
Scott No. Taylor is doing her job to get herself some money. I feel uncomfortable telling people the price of their glasses as it is sometimes very expensive and people are so quick to get annoyed and take it out on the staff member!! Taylor isn't the problem here, People getting mad at people for doing their job is the problem.
@@penelopemaggs2756 Penelope just like Taylor grow a back bone. I'm surprised you can stand up but if the price is too high please just take a moment and compose yourself. I had a good first month with accutane my skin really cleared up, then it’s gone a lil rough again, just want to warn you if that happens don’t get disheartened. Glad to be on this journey with you
For retail anxiety, try going out a few times with no money. That way if a member of staff approaches and asks if you need anything you HAVE to say no. Go with someone who is supportive and will also push you out of your comfort zone-but not too much! The more you do it the easier it will get :)
I LOVE how you are being so proactive about your mental health and you don’t even let yourself have the possibility to be depressed. Love THE ENERGY BABE !
i know this isnt the main focus of the video but the way you stuck with the couch to 5k and run regularly is so cool and inspiring ;a; i love running but i’ve found it hard in recent years and your consistency has made me realise its possible to get back to that point. thank you so much for all your amazing, fun and genuine content grace :) hope youre having a good tuesday!!
yes i remember when grace was like "i don't work out at all!" and now she's running 5k's consistently. so inspiring! i would love to do that too because i like running and i wanna get idk stronger and fight my depression. but i'm just too afraid to go? i get so anxious. i live in a city and i feel if i go running everyone would stare at me?? i know it's stupid..
also i don't know how to start? obviously i can't run 5k when i first go. i don't know if i can do even one :D what i should aim for? should i push myself or take it slow and ad the distance gradually?
Echoing others’ comments about retail anxiety: usually the people selling you things directly won’t be offended if you decide you don’t want something after seeing the price. For things they ask you about/try to “up sell” you at the till, it’s rarely (read: almost never) something they actually care about selling you, and almost always something they are just promoting that comes from wayyy higher up in whatever company. They don’t care what you buy or how price conscious you are as long as you’re polite! I worked in a bookstore and in a cafe chain for a while, I never thought it was weird when folks would change things around after seeing the prices, or turn down the sales tactics I was trying!
Be polite when saying no, and it’s fine! I usually say, “Oh I’m so sorry, I misheard the price, and that’s a bit expensive, do you mind if I just get the (blank). Sorry again”. It helps that I work at a Florist (flowers aren’t cheap), and I deal with being on the till side of the situation multiple times, so I think if I don’t judge people, why would they judge me. And I also don’t care, it’s my money and I choose what I spend it on
I looove that you're being proactive about preventing the depression side effect. I had a friend whose accutane triggered and worsened mental illnesses and they struggled massively.
If you were super anxious about saying "Oh I made a mistake, I need to put that back" you could go "Oh one second, sorry silly me, I forgot something!" and take all your stuff and go back into the shop for a few minutes and reconfigure/put back anything you don't want anymore :)
Hey Grace! :) I hope you are well. My gf served you in Pret yesterday and you gave her a note for me. I just wanted to say it put the BIGGEST SMILE on my face!! Thank you so much. Glad you finally managed to get the croissaints :) All the best xxxx
i LOVE the light one. entire life i've been told to moisturize my oily as heck skin and been given rich and thick ones that just feel like grease. the light waterbased one saved me
I find the rich one better personally. I have super dry skin and it literally absorbs anything that's too light in a second so the thicker the better lol
Thanking you for the amazing content you put out, all your hard-work that you put into these videos is appreciated more than you can imagine. Your videos are literally saving my life in the strange world that has been 2020. All the best GRACK!
I'm sooooo happy accutane is going well for you. It's spenny but honestly midnight recovery works wonders!! I got a little sample while I was on accutane but pretty quickly splurged on a full sized one. You have to be prepared to spend more on skincare than you ever have before! I would also recommend getting a few vaselines and putting them in various bags/coat pockets so you're less likely to get caught out without a lip balm. I remember that pain!
Grace I love your videos so much! They’ve been such a joy since the pandemic began. With the shopping issue, I used to have an issue with that too. I just have to tell myself that the person at the store will probably never see me again in my life, so if it feels embarrassing it will just end after the interaction. ALSO! I really doubt any shop person cares that much about what you purchase or how much you spend. It may feel like they do especially if they work on commission, but it is not your responsibility to buy things especially if you don’t even want them. Maybe try saying “no thanks” more in less stressful situations, because that will help develop more confidence! Love your vids
Please be careful using Simple moisturiser. Simple isn’t as simple or sensitive skin friendly as they make out. I highly recommend CeraVe instead - great for long term moisturisation for dry & dehydrated skin, full of peptides and great for barrier repair which is exactly what you want. Also; your Cetaphil face wash is full of alcohol I suggest you change that as well for the sake of your skin. Edit: just got to the bit where you’ve bought CeraVe. Yes girl! You’ve taken great steps for your skin there 😊
florrie kamstra I don’t understand how Cetaphil say it’s for sensitive skin; if you’re oily I could see how it *might* be recommended but it would dry most people out. There’s a trained facialist and easthetician called Caroline Hirons; she’s on TH-cam but also Insta and runs a blog. Her blog is the word when it comes to skincare, she reviews everything and she has reviewed Cetaphil. Read it, it’s very enlightening. www.carolinehirons.com/2016/09/cetaphil-cleanser.html
Yes also the simple shampoos and conditioner are also packed full of cappy chemicals and are really really stripping, it used to be a good brand mad still is for some people but they rely so heavily on their marketing, name and reputation now
i am so amazed by how good your skin looks already. when I was on roaccutane my skin got progressively worse for a couple of months before starting to clear up, but you have almost got instant results and I’m so pleased for you.
i used to have this same kind of feeling when I would realise something was out of my budget only once I was at the checkout and felt too embarrassed to return. the way I overcame this was through reciting a kind of mantra in my head of "you are literally never going to see this salesperson again, just breathe, smile and do it". Everytime I did this exercise I used to feel soo good about myself when the interaction was over and I had with me only items I genuinely really wanted and could afford. I had to go through this multiple times for a few years and now I feel pretty confident and find myself extra charming without trying to when I change my mind about something. so the take is to keep reminding yourself that you will never ever have to see this person you are embarrassed to change your mind in front of and you will have to really push yourself out of your comfort zone to address it the first few times. It will then become something easy and you'll feel confident getting to speak your mind! :)
One of my go to statements for putting the brakes on a purchase is "Thanks for your help Im not ready to buy it yet (no need to give a reason) but when I am Ill come here to get it." It allows you to be genuine because you are not lying youre not wasting anyones time and you have acknowledged their help.
ive worked in retail for YEARS and gal nothing wrong with asking how much everything is! i know i do! as long as you're polite to the person behind the till, they will never think about it again!!
I'm hoping to be starting accutane next month and have had some serious doubts. Watching your videos has helped me regain the confidence to go through with it!! Thank youuuu xxx
Please don’t have doubts!! I’ll be really honest with you here, I’ve been on it twice and both times I had very different experiences. The first time was an absolute blast I loved it, it gave me so much confidence and the only side effects I had was dry skin and HORRENDOUS dry lips, so much so they cracked at the sides. Second which was this year was horrible not going to lie i did develop very low moods, and became depressed. HOWEVER, I spoke to my gp and dermatologist and I thought he was gonna take me off the Roaccutane but he didn’t, he actually had told me I’d need an antidepressant to take whilst on Roaccutane and for a wee bit after Roaccutane which I did. He also said low moods can actually be quite common whilst on it because it can make your body hurt & skin hurt etc. My moods picked up quite quick whilst being on antidepressants and I managed to finish my Roaccutane course without any problems! I also don’t know if Roaccutane made me depressed when I first went on it which was in October 2019 I was quite stressed and wasn’t really doing anything to try and combat the stress, I also wasn’t exercising very much, so I’ll never know what actually caused the depression. All that being said, I went on Roaccutane for one reason and one reason only to get rid of my acne and it did. All drugs come with their side effects gal, and Roaccutane is no different, and despite the shit feeling I had when I was on it second time round I’d do it again if I had to, not because I’m vain, but because my acne was actually very painful. Go in with an open mind, see your friends, exercise, eat healthy, don’t over think it too much and always be honest with your dermatologist because they know their stuff & wouldn’t give you a drug if they thought it was going kill you. I honestly wish you all the best on it and hope your skin clears up well, you’ll honestly love the results, my biggest tip would be after you are off it ask them to prescribe you differin gel, I use it religiously every night and I’ve not had one spot since April it also helps with hyperpigmentation! Good luck!! X
I took accutane when I was a teen because I had cystic acne. It worked, but boy, was it rough. And I'll tell you, my lips have never been the same. They were permanently chapped after, but I'll deal with putting on lip balm all the time than dealing with the painful acne I had! Glad to see it's working for you too! :)
nina cullen True but some people get it. Unfortunately accutane has a lot of side effects and some hit people differently. Actually, if I don’t use balm, they end up bleeding. Not the norm but hey, who wants to be normal! Lol. But seriously, as much as I hate having severely chapped lips, I have relatively clear skin. That being said, the rest of my skin is SUPER OILY. So I don’t know. But I’ll take it over the alternative. :)
A good sunscreen I would recommend for you is the purito centella unscented sunscreen spf 50+ pa ++++. And it is very hydrating as well. You can get it on styleanna and yesstyle
Grace..we love you.poppet you DESERVE a high quality self care moment . you work so hard and spending £60 on things that nourish your skin is not excessive. Its self care. That love for your channel energy needs to be directed into that gorgeous face ..you are worth it !
GRACK! Try the Avene skin saviour kit available at boots for £20. It's got thermal spring water in it and is for super sensitive skin. My skin is very sensitive and I find this stuff to be MAGICAL! It doesn't break me out. The thermal water mist is my hero product, I just spent £8.50 on a large bottle of it! Its so calming on the skin. The cream in the kit is beautiful and the cleanser isn't heavy. I can't recommend this stuff enough!
Shopping tip! - I used to be like this. But always remember (and it will take practice), that you’re the customer and you make the decision about how much you’ll spend ! Don’t worry about what others think 😘
Just start making yourself say no thank you, over ride the fear, you don’t need to explain yourself for not wanting to buy something even if you’ve changed your mind and once you see that actually no one really minds it’ll just become a lot easier to do over time. It’ll save you a lot of money, good luck!
I took accutane when I was in highschool. I inherited acne from my maternal grandmother and it saved me from the acne scarring she had. It worked for me! The packing was difficult to open as well and every individual pill pack had a picture of a pregnant women with a big ol x through it
Ooh I’m just going to say that I’m an avid runner and I wholeheartedly believe that it has lifted my mood so much! I started running in the beginning of quarantine and now I run just about every day
The confidence is coming out!!!!!! Omg I love it!!!! There was one point in this video where I thought “damn she is really feeling herself” and it was so sexy.
I have a tip for the shopping thing because I do it too!! Stop and think before you say yes! Often I say yes quickly to get out of the conversation, but if you take a second to think, hmm is that worth it, I find it gives me the confidence to say no. And it's not like you look crazy for pausing to think about it. But you can take a few seconds to calm down, build up your courage, and say, you know what, I changed my mind, I don't think so.
Hey Grace! Please have a Google of mask wearing best practice, and why wearing on your chin isn't great :) I've noticed your dad does this too in recent videos. It basically cross-contaminates the mask moving it from your mouth, to your chin that has been exposed, and then back to your mouth. Better to remove the mask completely for greatest effectiveness ❤️ lots of people don't seem to be aware of this so just trying to spread the word 😊 P.S. I also struggle with the can't say no shopping pressure 😭
I didn’t know this! I lived in Korea for two months (was supposed to be 6 but ya know), and when I didn’t need to wear it I would sit it around my chin, unless I was at a restaurant where I wouldn’t be needing it for a while. Thanks! I know now and I feel like an idiot, oops
I have a very genuine question about the mask thing! When I wear my mask over my nose it goes all the way down to my chin too, so why is it contaminating it if it is already around that area?
@@kristinabryan3529 most masks sont cover the chin completely and only cover the moyth and nose hence why cross contaminating. If yours covers your chin completely then you dont need to worry as much
@@momnahyasin3126 Even if the chin is covered by a mask, you shouldn't put it underneath your chin. I only wear mine to the shop because we have to and then I put mine in the bag. Or if I have to take the bus and then the train after, I'll either leave it on or just take it off. I have a little baggy in my bag where I put my mask when I'm not using it, so it doesn't get all dusty in my bag or spread any possible germs etc. in my bag
You could also not wear a mask at all, as masks are a way of enslaving us and an extreme violation of human rights. Just a thought and welcome over to my channel, mindful life by Agnes, where I am mask free!!! ☺️
When my anxiety is really bad I sing songs in my head to try and distract myself and to get my brain processing things again instead of just running on instinct. I have to do this when I order at restaurants, make phone calls, etc.
Looking well, Grace! Keihls is VERY expensive, but it works. I have very dry skin that can get hormonal and the only things I use on my face are kheils ultra face wash and oil of olay. I also use a basic chapstick every night right before sleep. For me less is more.
What if you made a video trying to re-create the chocolate hazelnut spread? I've seen a few videos about how to make homemade nutella, it seems hard but I bet you could do it and it's funny when people mess it up so it would make a good video
I use the CeraVe hydrating cleanser and it is GREAT. I also used the CeraVe eye repair cream and night cream for eczema on my eyelids and it's the ONLY thing that has worked to heal it so far!! Good luck with them! They are really affordable, quality products 🥰
CeraVe is an excellent brand for moisturiser & barrier repair. Full of excellent ingredients. Much better for your skin than something like Simple (anything but) or Cetaphil (full of alcohol)
I also have a lot of retail anxiety and one thing that has really helped me is putting myself in the cashier’s place, if I were them would I be annoyed/frustrated? Most times the answer is no!
I get embarrassed saying no too but I’ve learned to just do it even with how much anxiety it gives me because my wallet can’t afford things that are overpriced especially if I want prepared for it. You just have to remember you’ll probably never see them again and their most likely not going to remember you I’m sure it happens all the time where people change their minds. And it’s only a short term thing once your out of the store that’s it you don’t have to worry about it.
I love the fact you are taking yur time to try and minimise the side effects and making other positive health choice, rather than just taking it and hoping for the best
With the retail anxiety thing just say I don't actually need it now but will keep it in mind for the future, I used to work retail and it's not a big deal. A smile and good manners is the way to go :)
Palmers cocoa butter is also great for moisturising with when on accutane for face and lips! It also helped heal my mums scarring and bruising when she tripped over and broke her cheek bone whilst on holiday so I’m of the firm mind it will fix anything 💕
I work in a shop and it does require us to be a bit kinda pushy on certain things because of demands from head office, but the amount of times i can see that someone a bit off about it i'll ask if they're sure and be like it's ok you don't have to. HONESTLY people are just out here doing their job!!! the things they get pressured into pressuring you into buying are ENTIRELY OK TO SAY NO TO!!!
to help with buying things u dont wanna buy - i've worked as a jewellery sales assistant so quite often encountered people who don't wanna buy something when they find out the price. I was barely above minimum wage, like most retail assistants, so there's no way I'm gonna judge someone for not buying an expensive product - just thank the assistant for their time and say it's out of your budget! It's far more uncomfortable when customers say 'I'll think about it and come back later' and whatnot because we know you don't mean that. Honesty and politeness is the best approach and we're just there to help if u need it :)
I love aquaphor! I haven’t been on accutane, but i have pretty dry skin, and sometimes I’ll get weird dry patches on my body, and putting on aquaphor takes care of it for me. I don’t put it on my lips, but sometimes I put it on the most dry areas of my face, and it helps keep it at bay. A big fan!
A drop of raw honey a few times per day on the lips will do wonders. Not too much because it'll be drippy/sticky, but it absorbs quickly. During one of Michigan's Polar Vortex winters, my lips were cracking to bleeding & honey absolutely saved me. Just don't lick it all off!
For shopping anxiety what helped me immensely was working in retail - not suggesting you do that but think about any friends you have that work in retail and they are completely normal lovely non-judgemental people! If your friend was serving you they would not care - it's the same for everyone
Look into getting shampoo brush off amazon for your dandruff! Also with the curly girl method the brush helps to prevent product buildup on your scalp since you’re not using sulfates that usually strip your hair of leftover product. They’re only about 9USD
The only thing that has helped me with the sales pressure is literally regretting it SO MUCH after each time! You have to think ahead to how upset it will make you later, and just politely refuse :)
That flustered feeling in shops happened to me in Selfridges once and I bought a small pot of food and went to the till and when the cashier said that price I was like 😓😓😓 stressss
I use to have retail anxiety, but then I kind of just trained myself to say no. Start small? It's weird but hold onto something cheap and when paying tell them you no longer want it and if they can please put it back. Kinda weird but it works, just getting your mind to get use to returning stuff. Train with cheap stuff.
I used to have that same checkout anxiety but actually cashiers just *work* in the shop you know? They generally don't own it (unless you're in a cute little boutique) and it won't hurt them or their income if you change your mind about buying something! Also if you're polite and awkward people will generally be okay with you. ALSO they will never remember you next time you shop there (esp. with a mask lolz) Doesn't mean I sometimes don't feel pressured but yeah I learned not to care so much
That's why I rarely go to boutiques. They're all up in your face wanting to help you, and I always feel bad because I'm usually just looking. And that's what I'll tell them but I still feel bad haha
About purchasing confidence, tbh if you’re honest and polite there’s no reason to feel bad at all. I’ve had customers pick out hundreds and thousands of pounds in makeup, get it ready for them with samples and the they say they’re grabbing a product from another counter or some excuse, and say they’ll be back to pay ...AND NEVER RETURN! Now that’s rude so genuinely don’t worry about it, you have every right to ask for prices and say no if you’re no happy xxx
for me head and shoulders is the most simple and effective shampoo and conditioner even though it's not so "fancy", it really reaches results and especially for flaky dry scalps. x
As far as the shampoo. I can't have fragrance and have been getting a very upset scalp. So I tried the E45 shampoo and my hair and scalp have never been so happy. Give it a try if you can because it's lovely.
About the shopping anxiety, it's easy to get rid of once you realise you're spending YOUR own money. I used to be the same. Walked into House of Fraser for a mascara, walked out with a full face of makeup and £60 that I didn't intend on spending. Just think if you REALLY need it and if you'd actually willing to waste money on something you don't need when you could use it for something you actually want. I don't know if this helps.
I have the same in-store anxiety. It's gotten marginally better as I've gotten older but I feel you. Shopping with someone I trust helps as that gives me strength.
Uk here! I always had very clear skin, no trouble - until i went to the USA to stay with family, and for some reason after my first shower i broke out in little bumps all over my face. The water from showers continued to do weird things to my skin's natural balances. If i recall correctly, i remember noticing this issue started for you when you went to America. I never had skin issues before i went there, did you?
You seem ok with it but try to be cautious with simple products, I know that they give me bad reactions and I think it is the same for some others with sensitive skin as well. I have quite dry skin and I have used childs farm unscented moisturiser before, it might be a good option for a body moisturiser but I used it on my face. The soon jung range by etude house (korean brand) is also pretty good, their 2x barrier intensive cream is great if you get really dry. My skin was painfully dry because of a reaction and it cleared it up in a day when it would normally take around a week.
Just saying with the cantu shampoo and conditioner, the conditioner worked good for me but the shampoo is really strong and stripped it and made it oily. I recommend it for once every month or two because then it can get all of the build up out :)
I prefer rainy days.. this looks so cosy❤️❤️ To anyone else reading this, remember that’s YOU ARE ENOUGH!! Sometimes I feel like we all need to hear this, so if that’s you.. we love you❤️ lots of love, a small time TH-camr trying to spread positivity❤️❤️
i used to work in retail and i was really chill if someone decided not to buy something, if i offer a special product or promotion it's because i have to or i genuinely think you would like it. but if you say no thanks then that's cool. we aren't offended or annoyed the only bad customers are the rude ones 😊
Hi Grace! Regarding your sunscreen application, especially since you're on accutane, I'd recommend applying more to get the advertised protection, i.e. either putting on one thicker layer, or doing two thinner layers on top of each other. There are recommended amounts that you can look up online to cover different areas on the body (from what I found, the recommended amount for the face ranges from 1/4 of a teaspoon to 1 teaspoon), so I'd recommend looking into it and measuring it out once to have an idea of how much that is! I find r/skincareaddiction on Reddit and Dr Dray here on TH-cam very helpful. Love you x
I'm totally like you in shops. I can't say no... I get flustered and awkward and just buy stuff I don't even want, or pay way too much more than I intended!! Also can't return unwanted goods to get a refund. The struggle is real people!!!!! It's definitely not just you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
My 2 year old has slight curly hair and really frizzy (mine's straight). I use Cantu with her and it helps a lot with the frizz. I also use Argan oil and that is super helpful with frizz. I also read you shouldn't wash curly hair often. So I only wash her hair once a week and condition it every 2-3 days. It's helped a lot with the frizz. It would also help if she stopped rubbing the back of her hair on the sofa and mattress constantly but hey, ho, that's life.
I always have a lil chuckle to myself when I see you being so good with the accutane, bc I was way too lax when on it 😂 but also please go with products with the simplest ingredients in them! Skincare with Hyram has really helped me decipher what is good/bad for my skin! I used to always use kiehls products (and spend a small fortune on them each month) & when I told my dermo what I was using he told me that they’re usually filled with not so great things ☹️ the ordinary is very good though & so much cheaper!
You are the second YTer that I've seen today use Cantu products!! Our Tribe of Many, Sarah, uses them on her kids' hair. They're already on my list of things to try!!

bicycles don't need petrol Bella
@Alessia N I live in a cycle-hostile city, and I cycle.
@Alessia N and you still only need ~⅛ as much if you drive ⅛ as often
Ellenor Bjornsdottir that’s nice but it’s ableist and classist to assume that everyone is able to cycle at all.
Accutane literally changed my life for the better and I’m so glad you are having positive results Grace x
Lauren Chedzoy were the results really so good? I’ve also been thinking of trying it out
VASI G honesty amazing. I had acne for 7 years plus and nothing else helped- I didn’t have any section of my face that wasn’t full of painful, angry looking acne.
Ever since accutane my skin has been basically completely clear - very rarely I get one spot. I never thought it would be possible!
Do you have to take Accutane for the rest of your life? I have no acne, but I am curious.
Moon Lampje nope, the length varies for each person but mine was only a few months
@@laurenchedzoy6107 thank you for explaining to me. I'm glad it worked so good for you.
The Kiehl’s midnight recovery oil is EXTREMELY fragranced - it says it’s natural essential oils but they can be just as bad as chemical fragrance!!
A great alternative for acne scarring is the ordinary 2% alpha arbutin in hyaluronic acid xx
Bethany Gallagher they are horrible for the skin that’s not even the purpose of them I don’t understand how they can even use them in skincare I got a rash and a burn all over my face and I couldn’t use any skincare after because my skin was wrecked after accidentally using a product with essential oils in it 🤦🏻♀️
bruh omg this happened to me! I used this exact serum that Grace has and it really ruined my skin:/ I don’t know how they get away with it either
Breath in and out and say firmly. That would be 50 dollars do not cower in fear. Take this as free training on growing tf up as your parents failed obv.
Scott clearly you've never worked in retail with anxiety
@@penelopemaggs2756 I tremble everytime I charge someone for a pair of shorts I just dont go looking for sympathy on youtube stop being a hero and sit down before I ask for the price of your most expensive glasses and your legs shake.
I had a good first month with accutane my skin really cleared up, then it’s gone a lil rough again, just want to warn you if that happens don’t get disheartened. Glad to be on this journey with you
Hi wanted to ask in the uk do you have to be on birth control to take the medication
For retail anxiety, try going out a few times with no money. That way if a member of staff approaches and asks if you need anything you HAVE to say no. Go with someone who is supportive and will also push you out of your comfort zone-but not too much! The more you do it the easier it will get :)
That's one amazing tip. Thanks.
I worked in a bookstore and in a cafe chain for a while, I never thought it was weird when folks would change things around after seeing the prices, or turn down the sales tactics I was trying!
skin is looking FLAWLESS so quickly too!
Hey Grace! :)
I hope you are well.
My gf served you in Pret yesterday and you gave her a note for me.
I just wanted to say it put the BIGGEST SMILE on my face!! Thank you so much.
Glad you finally managed to get the croissaints :)
All the best xxxx
Btw out of the simple “rich” and “light” moisturiser I actually find the light one better for my uuuuber dry skin ! Xx
I can second this tip! So strange that the light one moisturises more so than the rich version 🤔
i LOVE the light one. entire life i've been told to moisturize my oily as heck skin and been given rich and thick ones that just feel like grease. the light waterbased one saved me
I find the rich one better personally. I have super dry skin and it literally absorbs anything that's too light in a second so the thicker the better lol
As someone with normal skin I find the rich better so this checks out! Xx
simple’s doin somethin right
Shopping nerves, adopt a northern voice and shout - HOW MUCH!
omg 😂😂
Your vlogs are literally saving me in this quarantine. Thank you so much for uploading so frequently!
You're already having such good results! So glad your side effects haven't been too bad either.
Yes girl! You’ve taken great steps for your skin there 😊
I agree!
Didn’t know that about cetaphil face wash ? My dermatologist recommended it
florrie kamstra I don’t understand how Cetaphil say it’s for sensitive skin; if you’re oily I could see how it *might* be recommended but it would dry most people out.
Yes also the simple shampoos and conditioner are also packed full of cappy chemicals and are really really stripping, it used to be a good brand mad still is for some people but they rely so heavily on their marketing, name and reputation now
@@blakey10ify what are good chemicals for your hair?
You are a gem!! Totally relate on the “no” thing, too.
i am so amazed by how good your skin looks already. when I was on roaccutane my skin got progressively worse for a couple of months before starting to clear up, but you have almost got instant results and I’m so pleased for you.
i used to have this same kind of feeling when I would realise something was out of my budget only once I was at the checkout and felt too embarrassed to return. the way I overcame this was through reciting a kind of mantra in my head of "you are literally never going to see this salesperson again, just breathe, smile and do it".
wow that’s bizarre! once you stop taking it your hair and skin begin to produce same amount of oils again. That’s annoying :((
nina cullen True but some people get it.
Glad you're seeing/feeling a difference in your skin
the kiehls moisturiser changed my life when I was on accutane and I have never used anything since, it is so smooth and hydrating and just amazing
Taylor Wynn has her whole journey documented. You may check her skin care stuff out because she managed it pretty well from what I can tell.
I took accutane when I was in highschool. I inherited acne from my maternal grandmother and it saved me from the acne scarring she had. It worked for me! The packing was difficult to open as well and every individual pill pack had a picture of a pregnant women with a big ol x through it
Oh I LOVE your shoes!!! The difference in your skin in the past few vids is so noticeable....!❤️
Hi grace! I just want to say thank you for the positivity you are spreading through your video. Keep it up💗
Grace your skin looks so good! I’m so happy for you! Xx
Was having a really bad day and you brought happiness to it. Thank you for all your content Grace x
Just don't lick it all off!
you are glowinnnggggg✨✨ so happy for you x
I am the same with the shopping and money thing! I know how you feel, you are definitely not the only one!
Maisie Dunthorne same here! I’m so ashamed that sometimes I don’t even want to get in the store I. The first place 😂😅
Hi queen 🤗also I relate to this so hard. I get nervous when I need to return something and I put it off so long... it's rough.
lillian janky sane for me! I get anxious if they ask me why I’m not buying it😅
YESSSS BRINGING AWARENESS TO DERMATOLOGY ISSUES. I CANT LOVE YOU MORE!
ALSO they will never remember you next time you shop there (esp. with a mask lolz)
Doesn't mean I sometimes don't feel pressured but yeah I learned not to care so much
That's why I rarely go to boutiques.
Glad you're running, can't imagine a depressed Grackle!!!! 😱😢❤️ Really hope you don't get that side effect xx
for me head and shoulders is the most simple and effective shampoo and conditioner even though it's not so "fancy", it really reaches results and especially for flaky dry scalps.
I don't know if this helps.
the chaotic energy in this vlog is immaculate
I use the simple moisturizer too. I use with sunscreen since I have had skin cancer on my face.
Im American and my acne vanishes every time I cross the Atlantic for an extended period 🤷♀️ add it to the list of shitty things about the US lol
@@molelimer You could get a filter for your shower and tap!!
Your skin looks amazing ! In just one month!! That’s great, I’m happy for you
I prefer rainy days.. this looks so cosy❤️❤️ To anyone else reading this, remember that’s YOU ARE ENOUGH!!
Here in Australia it’s currently winter and I can definitely say wearing masks really does keep you extra warm ☺️ love your videos!
Well done for your perseverance with accutane Grace. Your skin is looking fab! 😘 xx
wow i’m actually eraly!! love you grace!!! i look up to you so much and your such a great person 🍉✌🏻👍🏻
I was just about to comment that she should check out Hyram and also the ordinary haha nice
When I feel pressure I have my phrase ready to go..."That's lovely but not today. Thank you though!"
Once you say no once it gets so much easier! I think I got confidence with age, but I forced myself to do it once and now I’m fine :) xx
Just found that Revolution Skincare due a dupe to the Kiehl’s midnight recovery oil and it’s only £10 with the same ingredients. *eyes watering* 💔💔💔💔
You are the second YTer that I've seen today use Cantu products!! Our Tribe of Many, Sarah, uses them on her kids' hair. They're already on my list of things to try!!
Can confirm as an Australian that masks in winter are a great time! Keeps your face warm!
I love the Simple moisturizer!!!
pro tip while on accutane, do not do any waxing on ur face, i did it and it takes your skin off
Pure lies i have no idea why you would mislead ppl like this. Sad
