Birdcam Sunday: When Squirrels Steal the Show and Raccoons Drop In

- The birdcam feeder is an active hub for the various bird species that visit. I was able to post a few short clips from the trail cam. One of the raccoons and a possum made a very brief cameo. I hope to capture more trail cam footage this week.
While the birdcam does a beautiful job of capturing the birds that flock to the bird, it definitely misses a lot of activity surrounding the feeder. I'll set up my DJI Action 5 Pro action camera to capture the activity I see around the area.

Love this video! Squirrels and raccoons are the real stars of the show. Your birdcam is the best, and I'm always entertained. Thanks for sharing😊
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, they are lovely critters. It's been interesting getting to see them up close.
Awesome!😊✨️
Thanks! 😊
Wonderful video. 19 above in Alaska today.
Oh, that's a cold day!
Love the song of the doves
I like their songs also. Around our property, numerous birds are singing. I am blessed.

The racoons are so cute
I agree. I hope to get better videos of the raccoons and possums this week.
I'm doing meal prep this afternoon. I just finished making several egg rolls. I usually bake my egg rolls, but these were fried. We rarely eat fried food. However, frying these gave me a chance to try my new All-Clad Deep fryer, which did an excellent job.
@@MyOutdoorWildlife Egg rolls sounds good
Mike would grease the pole to keep the squirrels out of the feeder. Beautiful
We have a few squirrel-proof feeders; however, all are welcome at this birdcam feeder. It's nice to see the wildlife creatures up close.
Im here late ! But im here 😅 0:29 you put the female in the circle but on the other side the male is there 😂 no more trick shot with the blue jay!🤔 1:40 the character, always at 1 inch of the camera 😂❤ 2:23 fluffy baby 🐿💜🩵 take the peanut !! Is it a squirrel that identify itself as a bird not taking the peanuts what in the floof is going on!!
Oh, I know there are some mishaps. I did not have as much time to edit this video. I only had about an hour this morning, so I did what I could in Final Cut Pro X. I typically try to complete editing the video the day before it's published. When that happens, I'll review it a few times to ensure I catch everything I want to highlight. I was about an hour into editing, and I ran out of time. When I am off towards the end of this week, I hope to catch up on video editing and have several days of videos scheduled. We shall see!
I enjoy it because it is a great way to decompress. I'm slowly learning Final Cut Pro and more about video editing. I'm also learning about masking, which I will add to a few fun projects.
The squirrels snag acorns and chestnuts from the trees daily, so those visiting the birdcam feeders are a bit tired of nuts. They have hidden stashes all over our property, so I imagine that is why they focus on the variety of seeds and corn.
i had to wait till half way into the video before i saw my fav mr red i was thinking he was,nt coming to eat today lol
Mr Cardinal is always around to get some food. ☺
@@MyOutdoorWildlife he,s like me greedy lol
@@stevenhogg2710 He's an adorable bird, so it's allowed. 🙂That male cardinal is very polite and one of the birds that rarely gets into trouble with other birds. If he's starting something, I assume the other bird has done something to it. There's one female cardinal who is the opposite; she's something. She's always ready to attack birds that even THINK about coming to the feeder when she's about!
