FG should consider rehabilitation of this Highway and Possible Expansion. Anambra State Government should give attention to Ihiala. It's another potential city. The Tatal Junction Needs a good flyover. Orlu Road Ihiala needs expansion and possible Dualization.
Honestly, Ihiala ought to have been developed more than this.

That anambra side is similar to shagamu expressway (sinking road), but that imo side similar to benin/abudu expressway in Edo state(2lanes, beautiful landscape )

I believe the road need dualised to 6 lane
That's should be the level we should be talking about now on such inter-state roads. But unfortunately the needful is yet to be done on major important areas.
I wish these road construction companies can learn to mark our roads with solid/dotted lines especially on dual carriage lanes. They add to the aesthetics and visual indulgence of the roads.
Politics has a different meaning in this part of the world.

Ihiala is developed than ekwluobia, ihiala need more attention than ekwluobia
Honestly, Ihiala supposed to have gone farther than its present stage.
I keep saying it. Anambra state government is always neglecting Ihiala and Nnewi. Whereas those two are already cities of it's own
But why do lgbos complain of federal government neglect?There are more and better roads in the east than the western region.The road from lagos to Abeokuta and lbadan is a death trap...I keep wondering what is ferma doing actually in Nigeria?Federal government should look into resurfacing roads like these to put it in good shape for the next 20 years.They shouldnt wait until the road becomes a death trap and costing billions to fix from scratch before they start running around.Which is the duty of ferma! You don't have an atom of knowledge of what people pass through on this road before it was done. Aside this one where else? Some parts of the Federal roads were done by state government.
@@YangaLife Well,people are still passing through hell in lagos to Abeokuta road,the west don't complain of federal govt neglect.There is onitsha to owerri,onitsha to enugu,portharcout to enugu,ekot epene to umuhia,old enugu to portharcout,they are all in the east compared to 2 federal highway,lagos lbadan and the deplorable Lagos Abeokuta highway in the west.

The owerri side was done by Berger, but the Anambra side was done by RCC, Obasanjo campaigned in 1999 & 2003 with the road, but very little was done during his time, the road actually picked momentum when Yaradua became president & was still in progress when I graduated from Anambra state University Uli around 2010/2011... That road should be completed during Jonathan's govt.
Before then it was a one lane, two way federal Highway way.
I think RCC did a poor job on the Anambra side compared to Julius Berger on the Owerri/Imo area.
No longer Anambra state University, but Chukwuemeka Odumegwu university

I will give it to anambra in urbanization, anambra section of d road is highly built up and commercialized but imo is largely vegetations and agrarian
But i believe Onitsha Owerri Road needs rehabilitation and possible expansion
