  • www.getBJJsponsorship.com - Upgrade your passion from a pastime to a profession. || American black belt Dustin Denes first went to Rio de Janeiro to train BJJ as a purple belt in 1999. The former wrestler and MMA fighter, who lived and trained with future Pride and UFC champ Rodrigo 'Minotauro', would learn that to develop in jiu-jitsu, you have to be prepared to help others.
Learn from Denes's experiences of training jiu-jitsu across Rio at the legendary Carlson Gracie academy, De la Riva jiu-jitsu, and the Brazilian Top Team. He reveals how he approached and learned from some of the greatest grapplers of the era and the lessons he took home.

Dustin Denes is a long time friend and we use to train together at BRAZILIAN TOP TEAM. He is on another level of instruction and also as a competitor very high level. He does an old school jiujitsu very well done and also develop incredible techniques that I suggest to tap early because it’s real pressure!!! Great person and great instructor!!!

Dustin has been my coach since I started BJJ in 2019. He has an intensity that can give people without a fighting spirit pause and he is a hard task master! I am blessed to have him in my life.

Clean has the mindset to be a champion and to train champions. I've spent a lot of weekends training with him and the details are always top level, He's added many things to my Jiu-Jitsu that I use daily and have passed on to all of my students. I know this is an older interview but he's still practicing what he's teaching here, always dropping tons of knowledge, and answering questions for anyone and making sure the details are drilled to memory and executed properly. This guy is a true technician, if you ever get a chance to train with him, I highly reccomend it. If you do, you''ll improve technically and mentally!

The message in this video is spot on! Total champion mindset! My son had the pleasure of training with Dustin a number of times and was better for it every time! Dustin teaches precise technique along with hard work. That’s the recipe for a champion!

I met Dustin "Clean" Denes when he was a blue belt back in 98 or 99, so it's been a minute. I could tell right away this guy was intense. Watching his career evolve over the years has been amazing. I had the chance to supplement my local training by traveling to S. Florida and other locations to see Dustin over a number of years. Group classes, privates, several camps and I can say he was one of the best instructors I have come across. Technical and some very tough training, but I loved it. Not for everyone, only for those serious about becoming their best and not afraid to work harder than you probably ever have. Highly recommend training with Dustin if you get the opportunity.

Trained with Professor Clean today at the Academy I attend, Jorge Gurgel BJJ/MMA in West Chester, Ohio. As just someone who started a couple weeks ago, I feel very fortunate to have been able to train with Professor Clean at the beginning of my bjj journey. It was an honor, OSS.

Dustin "Clean" Denes is the most unique individual in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I have known him since our training together at ATT in the early 00's and his passion, intensity, and focus for BJJ has never waivered. Now, he is dedicated to spreading his philosophy and his physicality to all and I know that I, and my students, continue to reap the rewards from his teachings. Clean's brand of jiu jitsu is a punishing, accumulation of pressure through the application of fundamental basics, as BJJ should be. While BJJ will always evolve with different fads, phases and iterations, we all need people like Clean to continue to preach and hold us to the old school mentalities and practices. If you are able, seek Dustin out to learn and feel his brand of jiu jitsu. You will forever be changed for the better.

Dustin ‘Clean’ Denes is the embodiment of mental toughness and unwavering fortitude. In every roll on the mat, he demonstrates an admirable resilience, unafraid to face failure or be tapped out. His open-hearted generosity when sharing his vast knowledge has deeply impacted all those who’ve had the privilege to train with him. His energy is contagious, illuminating every corner of the academy and inspiring students and training partners alike. One can clearly witness the rich legacy of his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu upbringing in the way he approaches the art and life itself. Training with Clean is not just an honor but a transformative experience. If you ever get the chance to learn from him, seize the moment. You won’t only grow as a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner but also evolve as a human being, radiating positivity to everyone you encounter. Do not miss an opportunity with Clean; it’s a chance to change your life. KEEP CRANKIN IT UP CLEAN!

Dustin "Clean" is simply one of the best instructors out there, and a legend of the sport. It's been a few years, but I've participated in many focused multi-day fight camps and 1-1 seminars. So good at the technical details and at bringing out the best in his students. I had a long BJJ layoff that last almost 5 years, and when I came back guys commented at how good my triangles were. That's Clean's instruction, hard-wired. He will challenge you, and you'll love him for it.

I don't know why some people think you HAVE to use the gi to be a high level no gi grappler. Cacareco took silver in ADCC and Barnett wrecks without training Gi. Yes it will have benefits in certain areas especially since BJJ is designed around the gi but if you have high level wrestling (which is made for no gi) then you don't have to have it to be high level in no gi. Mark Kerr also won ADCC without gi work.

Dustin is focusing on what we as bjj practitioners are missing in todays bjj, he makes the point to be good you have to be good in gi and no gi, Dustin’s mind set should be in all of us we can’t be just so focused in on aspect of bjj it should be in everything oss

Drill, drill and then drill some more. This is the mindset of champions…. The level of knowledge this man possesses is second to none. To train with him is the equivalent of grappling with a anaconda, he is forcing you to get better and you will get better. He is old school toughness in this world of weak minded people. SAVAGE is best description of professor clean

I’ve trained for almost two decades under Master CLEAN .. Minotauro named him THE MATADOR !!! for good reason .
