  • Rocks, Rips, and Reefs is a Non-Profit that does eight in-water events per summer that educates divers on how to dive safely at rocky beaches. Just Get Wet sponsored this meetup at the Childrens Cove so we brought our crew along with some much needed coffee and nourishment. Rocky beaches offer some incredible diving because of the underwater structure that provides abundant plant life which in turn provides habitat for lots of fish, sea lions, and other marine life. The downside to rocky beaches is they tend to be more dangerous to divers because of the rocky structure. So Rocks, Rips, and Reefs hosts events at these dangerous areas and provides a thoroughly out of water overview in addition to having experienced instructors that help you navigate your way from the beach, to the water, out past the waves, and then back to safety. The events are adventurous and a fun opportunity to learn about various dive sites. Most importantly, the experience will help you be a better and safer diver, no matter where you go.
