Yeah, with basically no really great star wars sets retiring, this year's list is only so so. But I think there's a few gems out there...like family reunion!!
Thanks, that's awesome to hear! I'm always open to feedback and ideas as you know! Yes, definitely keeping eyes out on sanctum...have you seen any good sales yet? Later!
Great video! Thanks for reviewing all the retiring sets. I picked up a couple dried flower centerpiece and space construction mech (Thanks to DG!). Got 1 millennium falcon for personal build. But your analysis has me thinking about picking up another 1-2 for investing. Looking forward to more discounts soon. Again appreciate your hard work. Look forward to your next video.
Denmark makes sense for a near complete retirement list. I have 27 left on my list. Been buying too many heavy hitter sets lately tho. Hoping Target comes in clutch in the the coming months.
I hear ya! I have about the same number on my list too. I'm not sure what'll happen first...I finish off my list or run out of investment capital 🤣 Fingers crossed on target sales...if last year is any indication, there should be some great ones! Best of luck as we approach Q4!
Dried Flower Arrangement is price matched at Amazon. Tax exempt saves you another 5-10 percent.. Prime credit card gets you 10 percent back on this and other sets..
Yeah, that's great! I don't have tax exempt yet...I haven't made it that far turning my hobby into a business, but I'm getting there! Great comment, thanks for sharing with the group!
Find myself going back and rewatching your videos. Is there somewhere to get access to your spreadsheet you run through? Also, have you thought about doing a post covering the sales and performance in review?
That's awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying my videos! No, I don't post my spreadsheet of data anywhere... But I do put as much of it as I can in the description of most of my videos. Yes! I've done one performance review video so far (check out my February 13th video!), and great timing on your question... In the next week or so I'll be posting my next performance review video that will be very similar to the first. Thanks for your comment, take care!
Super helpful vid thanks Kev! I haven't looked lately to check retirements. I too like the dioramas but prob not great for investment 🤣 i did pick up a few invisible hand sets over the wknd with the target sale. I didnt have it so i grabbed the endor diorama for myself lol. If these dont sell out we'll prob see a bigger discount during the holiday season.
Regarding Season 2 of Ahsoka, it’s not coming anytime soon. They don’t have plans to start filming until fall 2025 and won’t air until after the Mandalorian Movie (which is in 2026). So we are looking at a fall 2026 or spring 2027 release date for Season 2 of LEGO. I doubt that they are considering the movie schedule when it comes to this set.
Good point, thanks for clarifying for us! Yeah, so with those future dates, my theory doesn't hold up. Since it's on both retirement lists, I assume still likely to retire, but who knows... Great comment! Take care!
Good reviews, quite a few sleepers in there, I try to sway away from the most talked about as the amount of wannabe millionaires in a week buying Lego plough into these sets, meaning a lot longer hold times to maximize a profit, I want as much as possible as I buy my daughters sets each year using the profits from sets I move on (the intention being she has a totally free collection to sell when she wants down the line). Keep doing what you are doing kev it’s entertaining and informative. 🇬🇧🏴
I do think it will have a small devalue impact. Hard to know for sure, but I don't think it will be huge. Same concept, but likely 2 very different looking sets. And many friends sets do see huge discounts...so if sourced at the right price, I hope to grab a few of the friends set. This is one of only 2 or 3 friends sets I'm interested in this year.
Sorry, I need to make that info more clear! Someone commented I should make a quick video explaining all my metrics and analytics and then link it in all the descriptions - I need to do that! For now, check out my July 14th video...I explain it all at the beginning. Thanks for watching!
Great, glad I touched on that set! Yes, I factored in the 5% red card, which almost offsets sales tax in my area. Are you planning to grab some botanical gardens? What price are you hoping for? Good comment, thanks!
Honestly I don't know. I thought I was getting the hang of these bricklink sets, but then series 1 isn't performing too well. I definitely like them all, but: Lost city might be too bland (no interior detail for example) a ultimately forgettable The trees look spars and unfinished on stronghold - a bit of a turn off for me. Plus a lot of gray castles lately Camping adventure is great, but could have limited demand So the two I most likely want to get for myself for investing are chocolate and harbormaster. Chocolate is unique and well finished and harbormaster is similar to old fishing store. But those are my 2 favorite for personal collection too, so I know I'm biased. What are your thoughts?!
@@kdxbricksanalytics I like both the chocolate and harbormaster. Just no idea if there will be a great demand for investment purposes. At least with camping adventure, the price won’t break the bank, if it doesn’t do well in the aftermarket!
Quick question, im new to lego collecting. Your list of retiring soon differs from mine so im a bit confused. Like how yours has the camaro, ecto 1 and space station. Mine doesnt. Where do you look because so far the 88 on my list, I got what i needed but i want a lot of the ones on your list. Just scared i might lose out. Thank you
Hello there. I noticed that Target has a 20% off selected SW sets but sadly closest one is over an hour away. I have heard Target shipping is not great so boxes get damaged. What has been your experience with Target shipping? Thanks
I haven't had any issues with target shipping. I also ordered a few invisible hand sets. All 3 came in mint condition. But I also live near 3 targets and I suppose shipping time is short (I got my order the next day)
@@pme1967Update ..I just received my other order...6 sets in the box. 1 only had a small rip (not all the way thru to the inside) from probably a sticker but keeping that one for myself anyways. So hopefully that gives you some insight. The remaining 5 sets arrived in mint condition. If I could attach a pic I would. Hopefully that gives you confidence on trying target. Nov Dec is coming up and I'm sure there will be even greater sales!
I think there's a good chance it doesn't make it to December in most markets. Time will tell! Have you seen any recent deals on it? Target had them 20% off here, but they were sold out before I woke up Sunday morning, haha! Later guys!
@@kdxbricksanalytics I just took a further look, and it seems like it is almost sold out everywhere. In Germany we have 2 shops which sell it ~10% under MSRP, but they don’t have it currently in stock. Instead you can buy it and it will be shipped to you mid October. Every other store has is for MSRP or above.
Our retirement list started off like this in the 🇬🇧 we started with 84 sets which had me in a sweat! Then it bumped up to 114 and finally up to 393 which I’m sure you’ve seen. Total relief to see so many of our investments are in fact retiring at the end of the year. With confirmation comes confidence.

they are more expensive on the lego site than they are in some Danish shops to be honest. Might be worth a trip down here to pick them up ;)

There's also around 330 sets in retiring list on Australia Lego websites.
The skyline R34 is not on the list here as well so far.

The Cantina is on retirement list and out of stock here in France.
