    Hi very useful video for planning the itenary :) thank you! Just one question, we're planning to visit in Jan end with our toddler (almost 3 yr old). so any other points to keep in mind? can we still use 2-wheelers or should we go for cars only?

    • @rollingfeettales

      Jan end would be rainy season so be prepared for that!
      And for that reason, we would recommend that you go by car and not scooty. Would be comfortable for kiddo as well!

    Hi thank you for beautifully explaining the itinerary. I had a question, what do guides usually charge there ? And what is the tipping system in the restaurants, what is the respectful amount to keep if we should ? Thank you ❤

    • @rollingfeettales
      @rollingfeettales  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks!
      Tour guides would charge anywhere between 30-50$ (500-800K IDR). Do remember to bargain hard!
      Usually tipping would depend on meal cost but around 50-100K IDR for a meal for two should be good enough. Do note the bill if service charge is already included. In such case you needn't add additional tip.

      Hey Ritu, three options:
      1) Take a ferry from Gilimanuk port (west Bali) to Ketapang (Java) - 45 mins. Then train to Surabaya (6hrs). Then Surabaya to Jakarta (overnight - 10hrs)
      2) If you are coming back to Bali then can take rented car and drive yourself (with ferry transport as mentioned above). It would take around 21hrs.

      Not all but yes most of it like Nusa Penida ferry tickets, Sim card, airport transfers. We booked Mt Batur trek from Ubud market as the operator gave us better rate!
      So if you have time then check with local operator for rates (you can negotiate with them) else Klook!

      Hey Tanya, couple of options:
      1) Early luggage storage at your Bali hotel/resort (if you are staying in Bali after Nusa Penida). Check with your hotel for this.
      2) There are bag storage providers (Bali store luggage & others) that will keep your luggage for a fee.
      3) Bali domestic airport also has luggage storage facility
      4) This one is what we did - the driver who dropped us at Sanur port (ferry to Nusa) offered us to keep our bag for a fee and pick us up from Sanur after 2 days! 🙈 Not to say don't keep any valuables in that bag!

      3 ways to get couple pics clicked:
      1) At tourist spots you will find guides who would click your amazing pics & videos for a tip (usually rs 50/100 i.e. 10-20K IDR). Some places like Gates of heaven, Bali Swings, Lahangan sweet, Wanagari hills will have staffs who would happily click your pics/videos (included in entry ticket).
      2) Ask any 3rd person standing nearby!

      February may not be a good month given it would be rainy. But if you are ok exploring Bali in rainy season, then definitely plan! Keep your plans flexible though.

    DO WE NEED INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT TO DRIVE SCOOTY IN BALI

    • @rollingfeettales
      @rollingfeettales  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Though the shop will not ask for IDP while renting but as rule it's required to have IDP (police may ask & charge penalty if not there).
      So advisable to get IDP!

      There is news that it'll be banned, but it hasn't been implemented yet. So if you are going to Bali in near future then it should be fine!
