Dingy Skipper - ID and Survey Workshop | Butterfly Conservation

Dingy Skipper is one of NI’s priority butterfly species, confined to West Fermanagh. The species needs species-rich grasslands with the foodplant Bird’s-foot Trefoil in order to survive. The species can be found across a number of sites but Butterfly Conservation believe that there may be other sites that the species can be found. In this session you will learn how to identify the species, tell it apart from confusion day-flying moth species and learn the basics of monitoring.
