Thought you might want to know that I also found an amazing cigar shop close to the Melia with the most interesting teachers and aficionados called Bert van kol and Aram at Vivaldi and Secretariat cigars they were very welcoming generous and helpful. The shop is called Los Corales Cigar Gallery. I would estimate a 30-40 minute walk down the beach from Iberostar Grand Bavaro.
I walk passed that hotel all the time- tell them you are going to the sky bar pool is public - that hotel has a pool at the top free admissions -
No longer free - verified two weeks ago - $20 entry fee
