What I like the most about Heritors of Arcadia is that its theme doesn't appear in the other OSTs as often as Lost in Thoughts and Edge of Dawn's themes appear in their respective games, to the point they become almost boring
You get used to listening to Edge of Dawn and Lost in Thoughts, but you never grow weary of Heritors of Arcadia
This song will always make me ugly cry. So much suffering, such a pointless war, yet in the end... There is hope for the future.
At least, until Awakening happens and your learn of what United Valentia became.

Don't know why, but I love stories about mortals outgrowing their Gods, and the Gods finally coming to terms with the role they had to play is finished and releasing their grasp on mankind, so they can grow by themselves.
A very specific narrative structure, to be sure.
But both Shadows of Valentia and Radiant Dawn did it REALLY well, in the world of Fire Emblem.
Touching song of Mila's goodbye to all Valentia... Silque's va nailed it definitely better than Japanese version.

Right? The more you play it the more you somehow love it. Still think this is my fave 3ds FE and my overall fave OST for games; it's just so painfully beautiful! I imagine 20 years or so from now, when the 3ds titles become classics this'd one of the best among the bests!

It's a small thing, but Pheros' brief mention of once worshiping the Earth Mother in her battle dialogue with Chrom is heartwarming in retrospect; even though thousands of years passed, the people of Valentia never forgot all that Mila did for them.
I wish Awakening had been more respectful to the Lore and Stories of the old games tbh. If there was any country I think should have remained as one after 2000 years, I think it should have been Valentia, solely as a testament to how strong its people were even without their gods.

All the recent Fire Emblem songs have been excellent but I love this one above all. The vocals are fantastic and the instrumentation gorgeous but above all, every single line of the English lyrics is pure poetry.

You know, it's kind of sad to think that inevitable fate of all divine dragons is to go mad. Perhaps that's why Tiki sleeps so much, to delay her inevitable madness as much as possible
That's actually why. Gotoh, the divine dragon that Naga entrusted to look after humanity, ordered Tiki to sleep in the Ice Dragon Temple so that she wouldn't degenerate. Only after Marth rebuilt the Binding Shield could Tiki live without fear of degeneration
It's not all that different from _humans_ succumbing to madness induced by sleep-deprivation/insomnia. Dragons in FE just need *_a lot_* of good sleep. :3
And besides, *_Duma's_* madness in particular can easily be blamed on Jeddah/the cult's manipulations. Earth-dragon individuals like Loptous & Medeus are worse, since they *_always_* intended to torture/destroy humanity.

I hope and pray we will get a fire emblem game as good as this one again. Character designs alone top anything else in the franchise. Everything about it is so tasteful and beautiful. Despite the archaic gameplay it's still an excellent game and experience. Really sad how a lot of the newer fire emblem crowd brushed this game aside when it came out, too.
Honestly even though it's my 2nd fav game of all time, it got brushed aside for good reasons, because of coming out on 3ds when switch came out and due to the game having DLC worth MORE THEN THE ACTUAL GAME
@@Accountthatexists The DLC issue is just a product of modern gaming. Hardly a reason to disregard this title. People did not ignore the game because of it. Awakening and especially fates had the same thing going on. It's also not really fair to bring up the switch at all in this situation considering it was barely a month old when this game released + 3 houses was literally announced in the same Nintendo direct as this game.

Master Knight Three Houses is my favorite, with Awakening being my second. Then it’s Radiant Dawn, and I’ve also beaten all three paths of Fates, Blazing Blade, and I’m on Chapter 23 of Binding Blade. While Awakening and Fates have certain things over other FEs, I wouldn’t say that they’re the best. I’ll admit, the only reason why Awakening is one of my favorites is because it was my first FE. I can acknowledge that its story is pretty bad at certain points. For Fates, the strongest point is definitely the class system, with the gameplay being behind it, but the stories range from mediocre to literal garbage. I consider myself to be somewhat casual, but I can admit that Awakening and Fates aren’t the best.

One thing I absolutely love from Fire Emblem games in general is the music. It's always so gorgeous and it helps to be really immerged in the story.
Arcadia is the sacred land found by Athos and Nergal and is the place where Dragons and Humans lived together, man don't you just love fire emblem knowing they're all connected after thousands of years

In real life Arcadia is the concept of the perfect utopia of a country, a place where nature and human coexist in perfect harmony and it has been around as a concept in since ancient Greece where it originated.

Why are they attacking all Fire Emblem Music all of a sudden?? I'm dying to hear some Three Houses music, but I literally can't.
This song represents so many memories for me. It’s the first time I’ve heard an English translation to a Japanese media and felt as though the English version was executed perfectly with preference.
I'm surprised that this song hasn't inspired a wave of "OC Daughter of Mila" fanfiction. A Manakete CAN live thousands of years after all and it would be interesting to read an Awakening fic where the Shepards learn of Grima's true origins that were revealed in this game. Someone who was part of that first battle with Grima 2000 years ago would be able to explain it properly.
The Mila Tree in Awakening somewhat serves that purpose.
We know of Grimas true origin we even get to explore the lab in which he was created in this game

Yes, that’s my main problem with songs like this (prime example Edge of Dawn). They try too hard to tell you a story, and the lyrics start to feel a bit “clunky” when they are actually sung with the melody in place. This song, however, does not have that problem.

Why is everyone saying it’s Silque’s song? It’s clearly Mila’s song. “I will sustain you”, “I am the earth I will make you strong” sung by the earth mother Mila. Just just cause it’s sung by Silque’s va doesn’t mean it’s Silque’s, Edge of Dawn isn’t sung by Edelgard’s va and it’s still Edelgard’s song.
My head canon is that silque wrote the song to honor Mila. Which explains why she sings it
It took me far too long (like seven listens) to realise that this is a song from Mila's perspective. A beautiful ending to a great game.

I love and hate nintendo at the same time
They made and own a song so they have the right to take it down. Music is media like any film or TV show and has the right to be protected and isn't lesser. Companies upload music to TH-cam because they want the publicity and don't want pirates distributing it but they made the desicion to distribute it and can chose to stop at any time.

I'm upset that they're doing this with tracks from several games, but won't release a soundtrack so that people can support them. It's the equivalent of a kid telling another kid they can't play with a toy because it belongs to them, only to never use that toy.

I don't even remember this song, and yet I started crying within the first two seconds. I would ask for help, but I don't think I want help.
Its a deep song about loss. Imagine being thrown into war to save your world to find out that the king and Prince that you slain along the way were your Father and relative which wanted you to do it. When I learned of the kings identity and his motive to be defeated by his son left me feeling guilty and dead on the inside but determined to finish what I have started.

When you realize the singer for the English version is Silque's actor
If you don't sing when Silque says "One life surrendered so yours can begin", then what are you doing with your life

Both lines hit hard because of the narrative value they imply and add the singer's delivery of the line, you believe that it's like a mother telling that to her children.
I believe this is why it has such a strong emotional impact.

Has anyone made fanarts of a singer team composed of Chrom or Shigure, Azura, Silque and Annette... whose voice actors singed themes for the respective titles these characters belong to and Lifelight from Smash Ultimate? (obviously not Chrom, but since his voice actor is the same of Shigure, he can be used regardless to rapresent more games)
