    I'm 6'3" 230lb, and shoot my P365 as accurately as any pistol I own. I think it's a combination of great trigger, ergonomics, and sights. Even as tiny as it is, the shape of the grip makes the ergos really nice. I love the gun, and I'm a big time Glock guy.

      I own both, I think they’re both great. The pros and cons of each firearm is basically preference, what feels better. Everyone has a different grip and hand size, so I believe it’s preference. The Hellcat feels a little better in my hand because it’s just a bit beefier. My everyday carry is a Beretta 92FS it was a little too bulky for my wife, she tried out quite a few compacts, and sub compacts. The S&W M&P shield, Glock 43, Glock 26, The Beretta PX4 Storm, Taurus G2C, H&K VP9SK, she liked The Hellcat, and the Sig the best, we bought both, I wanted a Compact backup, so she chose the Hellcat, so I took the Sig. After about 1,000 rounds through both, Zero issues, Zero malfunctions. Completely satisfied with both firearms.

      I like the ergonomics of both, they both feel great, I do lean towards the Hellcat, as it has little beefier grip, which is slightly more comfortable in my hand, also, the Sig grip makes it difficult for me, to eject the magazine it always make contact with my hand, and I never really get a clean release. The Hellcat grip gives me a clean mag release every time. I do prefer the sights on the Sig over the Hellcat, always was a big fan of the 3 dot sight configuration. The Hellcat’s front sight is much brighter though, much easier to pick up in the dark. The U shaped rear sight is fine, I just prefer 3 dot. When choosing my Beretta, I had a choice of the 92FS and M9, I chose the 92FS because of the 3 dot sights.

    I have a Springfield XD mod 2 and wanted something smaller for summer / t shirt concealment. Went back and forth between the hellcat and p356 and ended up choosing the p365 because it fit my hand more naturally and I’m not a small chick at 5’11 185lbs
    I’ve had the sig for about 6 months now and couldn’t be happier.

    I went with the Hellcat simply because of the amount of issues the P365 had when it was released. Still have yet to hear of any breakages or failures from the Hellcat. I also like the sights and the additional round on the Hellcat. It has become one of my favorite guns to shoot. I find it has a very nice natural point of aim and I don't find it that "snappy" that others complain about... it's actually a very controllable gun for me (6', 220lbs).

    The guy and his it’s too small crap is just funny as hell. I’m 6’2” and over 200 pounds also with large hands and both my Hellcat and my 365 are easily manipulated and shoot just fine. Yeah they’re small guns and thats why i purchased um. Sounds like a training issue to me. It’s called dexterity. 😉

    • @NYScorpion222
      @NYScorpion222 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Come on, everyone has a different grip, if it feels too small for that man, then it feels too small, when picking a EDC, or any firearm for that matter, it all comes down to preference. Especially when it comes to customized, highly proficient, highly reliable, top tier handguns. Some guns ergonomics feel better to some people then others. The Glock 17 and 19 are 2 of the most popular, extremely reliable, Grade A handguns. I prefer the Beretta 92FS, A1, M9. They feel better in my hand and, I simply shoot them better. I’m 5’ 11” 202 lbs. I have medium sized hands. I love both the Sig P365 and the Hellcat, I own both, I have a little difficulty releasing the magazine on the Sig, it always makes contact with my hand and I never really get a clean release, The Springfield is a little beefier, fits my hand a little better, and I get a clean release of the magazine. So I wouldn’t call his opinion crap. I mean how can you honestly think his comment is somehow invalid?

    My 365XL took some getting used to size-wise, but my duty gun was a G23, which may be why I don't notice any snappiness. What I love about the thing is that I never consider leaving it at home. It's the most comfortable gun for concealed carry I've ever owned. I still carry my Glock on cold days under heavy outerwear, but other than that, I'm happy with the Sig.

    Great video! I think an important thing for those looking to buy a sig p365 as a EDC gun but are concerned with the size of the grip,hogue makes a grip sleeve that makes the whole grip a little bigger and it absorbs more of the shock,instantly helped my accuracy with the gun and made it much more comfortable and the grip was only 12 bucks on Amazon

I can tell you honestly first hand though that the grip sleeve is quite difficult to get on cause it's made to fit the gun so tight,I've had it on for a few months now and have done countless draws and malfunction practice with it and it hasn't moved a bit,it seems to be a quality grip and with how its cut to fit the gun if it were to move at all which I dont think it ever will it couldn't move up any high cause it's already right next to the trigger guard

      If it's only sold for that model it could work. I have that info from trainers that hate most sleeves (unless they're tatoos) for the mentioned reason. Getting in and out of cars, getting caught on something...I guess it'll be fine if there is some protrusion before the mag release in the grip. If you trust it after your testing, I hope it never lets you down. Thx for the reply.

    So no mention of the modular design of the Sig and its FCU? For example, I replaced the standard P365 grip module with the XL version which helped with the mag changes that Neil complained about. It also has the extended beaver tail for better control and the 12 round magazines fit flush. It literally took less than a minute to switch grip modules. I'm 6' 1" / 200 lbs and love my hybrid P365!

  • @rbiggs67
    @rbiggs67 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I had the P365 and liked it. Then I had a chance to shoot and play with the Hellcat. The Hellcat was better in every way. Easier to load mags and a full mag went into the gun smoother. I thought the sights were better on the Hellcat. It felt better and more controllable in the hand. I'm only 5'9" and 160lbs and medium to small hands. I shot the Hellcat so much better. Yep, I sold the P365 and got the Hellcat. It's been a little over a year now and still no regrets. I carry appendix with a Kusiak Leather holster.

  • @NYScorpion222
    @NYScorpion222 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I own both, they’re both great, really great for what they are, sub compact, high capacity handguns, every video I’ve watched on the comparison is right on, the Hellcat has a beefier grip and feels better in my hand, The Sig is a little less snappy, and the trigger on the Hellcat is much more crisp. The Sig p365 makes a 15 round magazine, so capacity is no longer a issue. I carry a Beretta 92FS, my wife wanted something smaller, so we bought the Sig “TacPac” which comes with 3, 12 round mags and a holster. Decent, nothing spectacular, but a decent Holster, that you can convert from IWB/OWB. It was $549.99 with Tax $590. The Hellcat was $529.99, $570 with tax, the Hellcat is optic ready it was a OSP version. I carry the Sig as a backup, my wife shot both and she says the Hellcat was more comfortable, so I was going to take the one she didn’t choose 😂. I’ve only put about 1,000 rounds through each, but I’ve had no issues, no malfunctions. So, for now, I’m satisfied with both, and feel confident and comfortable knowing, if God forbid, my wife had to defend her life, and my daughters, that she has, what seems for now, a reliable, well functioning firearm, being chambered in .9mm adds to that security. I know at close range, a bullet is a bullet, but the JHP have significant stopping power. I highly recommend both. Just one man’s opinion. Moving to AZ from the people’s communist republic of NYC, is the best decision I’ve ever made 😊. Last, but not least, I love the tritium sights on both firearms also. I lean more toward the Sig because all 3 dots have the Florescent green glow. The Hellcat’s front sight is much brighter than the Sig, then it has the U shape rear sight. Both excellent, however I do prefer the 3 dot, the the U.

    I have 2 xdm,1 xds, but I still prefer the p365 over the hell cat. I even prefer it to p365xl. The mag drop is an issue put when I carry it I don’t carry a second mag. So it’s a non issue. I also carry 124g+p ammo I have no issues in recoil management. I have even started switching my xdms over to the sig sights. That way I always the same site picture.

    Nice video as always. I haven't fired the Hellcat, but I fired a rented 365 at the Range about a year ago and found it to be surprisingly accurate for me. I ended up buying a used M&P 9c which is a little bigger, and have since bought several other handguns and rifles. But I liked the 365 a lot and have recommended it to friends. REALLY starting to enjoy the videos by the both of you. Short and to the point. Just a FYI... During my CPL class, which was given at my local police department, by a police commander, he stated that; Of all the shootings involving our cities police officers, there was only one incident where an officer actually lined up his shot using the guns sights! That one time was from a city sniper. Could you do a video displaying the accuracy of this scenario ? This is, in my opinion , going to be the case with the majority of self defense shootings. Again, love you guys! Keep up the good work!

    At 6'5" 220lbs I'm a pretty big guy too. I use a Hellcat with an optic as an EDC. It's not a lot of fun to go put 300 rounds through at the range, but I have guns that are so that doesn't really matter to me. I will train with the Hellcat to keep myself familiar with it, but at the end of the day it's a CCW that I hope I NEVER have to fire. It's really nice to be able to carry in shorts and a t-shirt and have no printing. I can pocket carry the Hellcat too, even with the optic installed. To me, it's all about carrying. As a CCP holder I know that more than likely I will carry my gun every day at least 12 to 15 hours a day but will probably never draw it and use it in self defense (hopefully I'll never use it). So trying to carry a G17 sized gun that may get left at home is not as good an option as having the Hellcat on me wherever I go. Whether it's in a pocket holster tucked in my waistband or in my pocket, an IWB holster, or an ankle holster. I know I can carry anywhere, anytime I want to. For times when the Hellcat is a little too big, I have an LCP I keep around.
    The Hellcat has a nice "index" feature where the stippling has been carried up to the side of the frame giving you reference points for your thumb. Great for us big handed people who don't want flash burns on their thumb. Just put your thumb on the index point and you're good to go. The Hellcat also has a SLIGHTLY protruding guide rod which can help keep the gun in battery should you be grappling or have the gun up against someone. The coup de gras for me was the optic cut. In a self defense situation, I like to keep my eyes focused on the threat, not on my front sight. So the dot seals the deal.

    I operated Sig’s 365 and the 365XL, those mag releases are faulty. Hard to press due to sitting too flush or flat and it sort of faces frontwards. It is awkwardly placed. It also does not eject properly. I wrote Sig about it as I found quite a few people around and on youtube that also complain about it. I reached out to Sig to see if they planned on updating the two pistols in the near future with a fix, and all I got in return was the concern will be passed on to the production department.

    Owning both, for me they're both so close to each other I really don't notice the differences. In the nature of full disclosure, I've been using an ancient Mk4 Series 80 Stainless Officers ACP for way too long, and finally decided I had to modernize on the EDC side of things. When you're used to a small 45, neither one really "snaps", and the 1911 trigger is what it is where the Hellcat or P365 really can't compete. The one thing that annoyed me about the Hellcat is the U-sight, but I guess that's why I put the RMRcc on it first, and will put a red dot on the P365 in the near future, more because I'm getting old and need reading glasses these days to see the front sight (and the dot's do bring up a new set of challenges.)

    First, these guns are designed for deep concealed carry. Not for backup. Deep conceal as the primary CC weapon. I can put this in a pocket holster with no printing. I also use it in an ankle holster. Why? Because were I live and work I tuck my shirt in and do not wear a jacket. Pocket or ankle carry is my only means of concealed carry. The gun, therefore, needs to have a high capacity of 9mm and be very small. The Sig does that better than anyone else. I have fairly large hands as well and have no problem with this gun. Second, your grip does not require that you stick your thumb pointed along the side of the slide. I see that all the time. That really does not help you shoot better. I have always wrapped my left hand thumb directly on top of my right hand thumb. My fingers do not come anywhere near the slide, the slide release, or the magazine release. Easy to shoot very accurately that way with great control. This has 12+1 rounds with the extended magazine for the P365. No other gun comes close to being the near perfect CC gun as the Sig. Everyone else will be trying to duplicate this for years.

    I selected my 365 as my edc about a year and a half ago after doing some training and qual with it. I’m a big guy with large hands. That’s my reason for preferring the 12 round mag.
    After numerous qualifications and training days, I’m convinced I made the right choice versus the larger alternatives I had. It has great sites, is very easy to fire accurately and recoil is not too bad. Finally, it’s extremely concealable!
    The one caveat is I had to retrain myself for when using the 365 to drop my magazine with my support hand. After practice it becomes easy, and hasn’t impacted my muscle memory to do one-handed magazine releases with other guns.
    Overall, it’s easily a gun I recommend to people.

    Nothing wrong with Croatia but the other one is made in US. Thankfully my local store had an exclusive on the P365 and they gave it to me with three 12 round magazines for the same price, it is the SAS model but with the laser I was already planning on putting on it, that's even better for deep conceal.

    I purchased the Sig P365 and I have rather large hands. It doesn't fill my hand like a G19 does but I shoot it just as well and that is what really matters. I do like the way the P365 narrows towards the trigger and also the trigger breaks at 90 degrees which improves groups in my opinion. This because after your index finger passes that point your hand naturally starts incorporating other muscles.
    The biggest + on the Hellcat is the precut for optics slide. Man I wish my Sig had that and it costs a pretty penny after the fact. That and 1 extra round is a small bonus. Bottom line these are both exceptional firearms in my opinion.

      Your just fine with a G26. The average built person can conceal a G26 no problem. That’s what it was designed for.
      Is it blocky as some say, yes it’s a Glock . I happen to appreciate the blocky utilitarian no bulls#%t look and function of glocks . Some say the trigger is crappy on the Glock , not true it’s just a Glock trigger. It just takes a little practice to appreciate it.I was not always a Glock guy , I’m old, 1911’s and revolvers were the only way to go. Then one day I tried a Glock 21, I immediately bought one and to this day not one malfunction. I have 4 glocks now . The only one I ever had an issue with is the G34 because it had all extras added on, I put back all the factory parts and good to go. All the others are stock out of the box and run flawlessly. You can use you 26 as a hammer and it will still run fine. When you finally escape from California buy both the 365 and the Hellcat to celebrate. Until then your 26 is more than adequate. Watch Shane Coley
      Michelle Viscusi or even Hickok45 run a Glock.

    NOTE: The laws of physics do NOT change. The barrel length is the same on both pistols and the 9mm cartridges (I assume) are the same.
    So as far as snappy, it's a judgement call by the user but, the laws do not change. They will retort the same. But, as you both noted, hand size makes a BIG difference in how you hold the pistol.

      Not true, guide rod spring weight will make a noticeable difference. So I’m willing to bet the Sig is a little over sprung. One way to tell is how far the brass is flying out. In this vid the HC is throwing brass twice as far in some instances.
      I recently lightened the guide rod spring on my VP9 which had really weak ejection. It now throws brass 2-3 times further than it did before.

      Agree that the total force must be the same but how that force interacts with your hand differs from gun to gun on other factors. Barrel height above hand, weight of gun, angle of grip are examples that will give a different feel in recoil even though the total force is the same. Go shoot a Beretta 92fs and then a Glock with equivalent barrel length. Their recoil will feel different and one may feel snappy-er then the other.
