As a fan we never knew what goes along with the benches, the locker rooms or the coaching interviews so we never knew what really to expect from assistant coaches like Sam Cassel. That's why this is a great episode, hearing Sam talk really makes me root for him to get a head coaching job. Not hating on JB Bickerstaff but I think Sam should have gotten the Pistons head coaching gig. He's more suited for a young rebuilding team knowing that he would bring out the best of the young players building their confidence establishing great relationships and great team culture. JB already had multiple head-coaching opportunities but I think we already seen his ceiling and it's not really that high. Coaches like Sam should be given more opportunities than rethread coaches.

Imagine if Hakeem could pick up some of Jokic's passing strategies he could easily get up to 5 or 6 assists per game.
