I’ve put my trust in the Lord for most of my concerns of my family’s salvation or lack there of. When I put my trust in the Lord I’ll always tell the Lord if I’m to be used by him in my family I’m always available. I’ve had ideas That come to me and I’m not sure if it’s my flesh or God guiding me. I. Believe our time is short and that can cause me to be somewhat impatient and that causes concern. I’m sure you’ve had similar concerns. I appreciate this topic and how scripture tells us to be still. This is when we find out that the Christian life is not easy. Darcy, I admire your fervent faith and how you sing praises to God from the hilltops. The Spirit is in you that's clear. Each of us have our unique path to walk. As you know in Scripture and the life of Jesus, we don't get what we want, the way we want it. God is the potter, we are the pot. We don't get a say in our walk and how that path turns out. We can talk to Him through prayer, but God gets to decide, no matter how much we pray for it to be different. Health issues greatly change your view on life, knowing that man's medicine can't make you as good as new and God says this is your path. Just like Paul prayed several times for God to heal his ailment, but He didn't. Life is about suffering for many people, just like Jesus suffered. We like to paint the picture that everything is supposed to be a picture perfect life, but it's not. Don't mean to be a downer but many Christians throughout the ages suffered greatly, even died horribly. Yet, they kept the faith. Good job on your video!
Speaking of the music.. i am a Christian metal head. I love what is called aggressive worship. I explain it to people this way.. picture what type of soundtrack might play as the sky splits open and Christ comes back roaring as the Lion, bringing the day of justice. A few bands that lift me out of the pits are, War of Ages, Convictions, For Today, Holy Name, Sleeping Giant, Demon Hunter, Spoken, Disciple, Chaotic Resemblance, just to name a few. I listen to all diff genres of music, but this style is my best worship music and mood lifters. My battle music! My go to work music. Btw, you should check out Chaotic Resemblance. They’re from Ok. Just saw them Sat night here at a show. Quite a few people got saved at this show, praise God! The singer takes a long break during shows and delivers the Word and altar calls. I know all this is somewhat off topic, but since you mentioned music.. 😬
speaking of music indeed... I should have the video posted by tonight, about the influence of music (specifically rap and hip hop) and how there are better Christian options for every genre. Wow, there does seem to be quite a few of those battle music artists! I know exactly what you're saying though, some songs just really get you in the frame of mind for fighting on behalf of the kingdom! others genres can't do that, so I really think the different styles are important for different people and in different seasons. Hey Darcy! I hope you had a good day today. Still a bit cold here in Colorado but it has warmed up a bit today. My daughter in North Dakota face timed me a little while ago. Just catching up with her. She is living on base with her boyfriend who is set to deploy at the end of March. She’s a little sad, they moved the deployment up so she’s bummed. I hope to go and see her soon. She’s been in that waiting season herself, wanting to be married, busy with life and work herself. She’s my listener, praying for me not to lose my joy. I do the same now with her encouraging her letting her know that God knows her steps and to “be still”. I’ve got to tell you her story someday. She is an amazing daughter. Hi Robert just wanted to talk to someone i live in kansas. Some of my family lives in Colorado i have spent quite a bit of time there. I am currently in a rough place in life. I have lost so much in my life. I wife my son. But I have been christian for 15 years. But I just don't know what path god wants me to go. Proverbs says the lord is far from the wicked but he hears the prayers of the righteous. So It would mean a lot to me if you could just pray for me please.
