यह स्तोत्र संसार के समुद्र से निकलकर विष्णु धाम जाने की ६ सीढ़ियां है। श्री षट्पदी स्तोत्र श्री आदि शङ्कराचार्य की रचना है। यह स्तोत्र ६ दिव्य श्लोक से सम्मिलित है इसीलिए इसका नाम षट्पदी स्तोत्र हैं। इस स्तोत्र में मन के विकार और बुराइयों को दूर कर श्री नाथ में मन को स्थापित करने की स्तुति की गयी है। जिस व्यक्ति को समुद्र से पार लगना और भगवान विष्णु की अडिग भक्ति की कल्पना हो उसे श्री षट्पदी स्तोत्र पाठ अवश्य करना चाहिए। यह दिव्य ६ श्लोक आपको संसार के भवसागर से पार करा सकती है आवश्यकता है तो श्री हरी में पूर्ण विश्वास और स्तोत्र के पाठ की। इस स्तोत्र में पाठ करने वाला व्यक्ति स्वयं को तरंग और भगवान विष्णु को समुद्र से व्यक्त करता है।
