Good point about the combo of the Mac mini and a higher-end iPad being good value that should be a serious consideration for many (young or old) in lieu of an expensive MBP. Or even a Mac Studio and iPad for some who do serious streaming (especially with multiple cameras and other video inputs) and/or video editing. But some will be best served by just a Mac Air (M1 or M2) that they use on the desktop with an external monitor, and on the move whether to the coffee shop or classroom. And, Nate, you are also spot on about the Apple refurb store - I, too, have saved hundreds of dollars buying refurb Apple gear and never once had a problem.
I agree with the recommendation to consider the Apple Refurbished store. Unless I need to buy a newly released item, I would look for an Apple Refurbished item. My first iPod Touch was Apple Refurbished, and it felt like a new item experience. They do a great job. I do like my Apple Watch, but it is too expensive. I’m on my third. The first one did get unusably slow. The second one I gave to a friend because I wanted more features, but it was still usable. My current one is maybe 3 years old and I’m not sure I want to replace it yet. I need to see what new features are released. Of course a new release of Watch OS could impact performance, but so far it works well. I will look into the LEDs for my home office. Thanks for the ideas!
Airpods Pro 2 are probably coming out very soon so keep that in mind, but even then the pros might be down in price. Great production quality and list, u gonna blow up fs
