Holy Crap, I don't know what is more impressive, The amount of money you have invested in these tools OR the fact that you 1 know how to use each and every one and know where each one is when you need it. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!
Amazing collection/assortment of tools. The fact that you paid all of them off is a testament to hard work and a keen business sense. Thanks for sharing. 😃👍
My god the comments section is ridiculous. Really goes to show that we have some serious societal issues going on in 2017. The way people ONLY want to compare and argue and never just enjoy things is so stupid. So people are really such haters that they'll watch this and the only thing g they'll say is that "the tools don't make the mechanic", as their way of somehow discrediting this man's ability as a mechanic because somehow him having such a nice setup means he sucks as a wrench because he buys the right tools for his jobs and as a result has acquired a lot. Instead of respecting the man for having so many specific purpose tools people instead act as though him having these specialty tools means he can't do the jobs without the way they brag about how they can, thus making them the bigger dicked and better mechanic. It's ridiculous to be that way. Clearly this guy is a mechanic for a living, works on all sorts of stuff, has all his certs right there on the front of his box, and over the years has built quite a collection. Oh and btw, all these people talking about they'd never go to a shop where they have such nice setups because that in turn means the bill will be much larger, get real. No one admits a super expensive specialty tool is the better option than whatever jerry rigged alternative is available until something breaks and causes a new mess of problems that woulda never happened had you had the right tool for the job. A tool that apparently owning means you must suck as a mechanic. I can almost guarantee the guy who made this video is a very experienced and knowledgeable wrench and has probably forgotten more about cars than most people commenting have ever learned. Maybe instead of hating him and discrediting him for having a collection you're clearly jealous of, ask him questions and learn a thing or two
For everyone commenting that he shouldn't have gloves on, you need to realize that petroleum-based fluids (oil, gasoline, and diesel fuel) are known carcinogens. Not to mention vassal parts cleaners and lubricants or brake clean. I'm a diesel mechanic and this old fashioned way of thinking shouldn't have any place in today's work force. I wear gloves, and everyone else should too. Protect your health people!
Nathan Oatman gloves are a lot quicker as well you can go from messing with rusty oily sfuff to doing a pre sale check on a brand new car just by ripping off the old gloves and getting a new pair
Most people that complain about guys being pussys for wearing gloves are not professional mechanics. They are backyard guys that think doing the occasional brake job and oil change in their driveway makes them a mechanic and they are somehow more manly for getting their hands soaked in grease and oil. Almost everyone that is putting in 40+ hours a week turning wrenches wears gloves.
What a nice collection of tools. I've been wrenching for over 15 years I am now a shop owner and still buy tools a man can never have enough. they say the person with the most tools Wins!
This is a very nice rig brother...what most people commenting don't understand is that these tool collections are not put together over night...I remember having a craftsman box and buying snap on tools until I filled that box...then you have to buy a bigger box....then more tools as you need them....and you build your tools for what you work on...my box is geared for Harley Davidson...so a lot of special tools that only work on specific years and models...the snap on truck comes by once a week...you get tools and pay on your account...you don't have to worry about anybody stealing yout box, because it takes a forklift to pick it up.... On another note...the snap on open end wrenches with the sockets on the other end are my favorite wrenches ever...I didn't see a set in your box...and my snap on flashlight that uses the 18v battery as it's base and has the led light bulb is a must... I have to admit my flashlight is my most important tool.... Anyway...nice collection bro
First time I see a cart with a vise attached, It's a clever idea so you don't have to travel to the work bench. Thanks for explaining your tools instead of just opening and closing the drawers like some do. Appreciated!
You must be one hell of a mechanic. I have been a heavy equipment mechanic for 30 plus years and your box is a great example of how different we have tooled up thru the years. I so hope you do well because your collection of tools is screaming talent. Customer have no clue how deeply techs can invest not only in tools but education and experience. Nice to see a working tool box. Maybe someday I will post a video and you can see what I mean. Automotive and heavy industrial are worlds apart once you get past the basic tool set.
Definitely a professional box. I like your style having the right tool for the job. Thanks for explaining certain tools and the job. I ordered about 1k worth after this video seeing things that will help me make more money easier!
Dude, I can tell by your toolbox that you are a real mechanic. You have a very nice setup there. Kudos to you. I picked up some ideas from you on your sockets top drawer. I'd love to upgrade to the Epic with lockers. Thank you for the tour. No need to apologize for your organization. If it works for you, that's all that matters....
Tool boxes like this are what fills my enthusiasm as a HGV Service tech apprentice. But the “mechanic elitism” in the comments is killing me with laughter 😂 Guys, a tool box is a tool box... a man’s pride and joy, stick to your own tools and take pride in them! Hoping one day to have the money to fund a box like that 😍
The fact that you own your own Tech 2 tells me you are all in and serious about your work. Nice collection. I have my own and it keeps growing little by little.....you end up with alot after 25 years! Congrats! You can pass that down to your kid someday.
@TheOtherWhiteBread0 With tools you can make a living and open a small to medium sized handyman company or a repair workshop, earning plenty of monies everyday.
Hello to the Car whisperer. Just came across this video and some of the comments that have been said. Why does it matter to the people in the comment's how much money you have spent on tools etc its your money, im a diesel tech mechanic myself I also have invested fair amount of money in tools, because I wanted to. I work with people that drink amd smoke all their money spend it on cars etc never want to buy the tools to me the are the joke! Don't get into the trade if you're not willing to put the time and investment into it, bottom line. I can see your tools are well used. It Would have taken a lot of hard work and time to get that set up you have today. Very nice set, fair play to you. Cheers Niall
Nestor Sosa JR. Yes sir. I'm given shit by my dad everyday for cleaning my tools and keeping them organized. I'm OCD. Lol. Dad can work out of a pile of sockets and ratchets and everything thrown in a transmission pan and no where everything is. It erks me.
very Nice...A friend of mine recently retired after 45 years at head foreman in Engine Dept of International here in Sacramento, Calif...Similar rig, bed Red...said he had a round $600 K in the boxes ands tools...Lots of heavy tools.....he was diesel foreman...
We have all heard the old jokes, " your kids aren't going to college, but the snap on guy's kids will!" Truth is, if you use these tools to make your living every day, then don't listen to the haters! It is a nice set up by the way!
Yeah, those comments kill me. Especially since all this was bought and paid for before I had kids lol. I have to wonder if these people go up to someone with an expensive car and tell them that at least the salesmans kids are going to college???
After a career as heavy duty mechanic (retired now)only wish i should have never bought a tool that the company was suppose to supply But did it for my own convenance Saved time walking to tool room and looking for something Now i got 2,280 lbs plus in tools sitting in my garage but its fun to have everything when i am out there playing Just remember at some point we all retire Then the stuff just sits there
Thats awesome, i have a sp tools top tool box, roll cab an side cab. I have a loooooong way to go to have a set up like that. Cheers fully enjoyed your video 🖒🖒
hows that hub grappler work is it worth the cash? i dont do a lot of bearings but trying to fit some of the knuckles on our press and get it level enough to have the bearing go in strait is a pain in the ass trying to balance sockets and thick steel to make it all level.
I like the hub grappler. You need a stout impact gun, especially if you live in the salt belt. I've found myself on occasion still removing the knuckle, but using the adapters in the press. Honestly if you don't do a lot, you might be better off finding some adapters you could use with your press.
WOW you keep your tools like my wife keeps the kitchen dude yet she moans if I go out to the garage. I'm a Facom lover myself but thanks for showing the love :-)
A real mechanics epiq! Not like snap on junkie who bought his tools as a collection! Claims he uses them daily but they are cleaner than they are off the truck!
You must work on all kids of vehicles. I work for Ford motor company v and they provide most of the specialty tools that you had to buy. Some day I will own the same but I live in a. Very small town o I just don't need all them now. Love the tool box and organization
Great video Matt. love the socket drawer and wrench drawer. question - do you find the half moon wrenches to be useful enough to warrant the space they take ?
+619DioFan I could probably move them to one of my other drawers, I really don't use them a ton, but I'm just so used to how that drawer has been laid out that I have a hard time changing. Although something has to be done because the overflow in there isn't very appealing.
Usually not but snap on offers sets that include all the basic tools in a box. There are 6 levels each including everything in the lower levels. Set 6 which is pretty much every tool hand you could think of in a 54" box is almost 45000. It still isn't everything he has.
nice set up man... I'm not a fan of the power bank but I only have one brand of electronic stuff with one charger.. but it looks like it works for you. anyway very nice
+Justin Jose. Everything in the blue cases except for the tamper proof triple squares are vim. Everything in the red cases are mac. The tamper proof triple squares are cornwell.
Nice. I have pretty much the same setup. I have the regular box, Glomad edition. Maximizer roll cart gets used every day. The other 60 sits behind it in speciality tools. The not so perks of fixing all makes and models. Good video showing what it takes to be a tech..excluding skill. The skill video would be years long! Have a good one.
Yeah fixing all makes and models kinda sucks at times. I have a slew of specialty tools. Some for cars ill never work on again or jobs ill never perform again. My northstar water pump socket has laid dormant for years. Tool i used to use on the regular.
That is hilarious. I got the same socket to fix my buddy'd old caddy...just sits there now. 55 bucks for one job. I wish people understood how expensive it is being a mechanic, especially getting started. I literally stopped counting my box of tool receipts after 100K. Takes years of collecting. The last time I checked most rich people I know are not becoming techs!! I enjoy the various work though. I could not imagine sitting on a computer all day. The people I work with are great too. Take it easy, don't work too hard!
Excellent tour, awesome setup. I am thinking of buying the 76" Epiq with power top and power drawer, as I've outgrown my current KRA model. Would you recommend the power drawer, or would you rather have the extra drawer width? Thanks for the tour!
My work situation right now is a bit different from when I first got the box. When I first got it (just the bottom box), I was in a small shop, worked exclusively out of my bay and had no room for a cart. Having all my air and battery tools in the power drawer really worked out great. Currently I am in a larger shop, work all over and really need a cart, and need to have my power tools in my cart, so the power drawer has become wasted space. I still use it for charging batteries and for lesser used tools, but at this point I wish I had a drawer section. So I would say it depends on your work situation.
Nice Tool box! As a European i have question, here normally employees do not own the tool required to perform there work, the employer has all the tools and supply you with working clothes and PPE. In US, are all, lets say car mech required to have their own tools? does that apply for special tools( car/brand specific) also ? Thanks
depends on the profession and location. If it's a simple place like an oil change location or a place with high turnover the shop generally will supply their own tools, but if it's an independent shop you're more likely to see guys with big collections of their own tools.
ive watched a few tool box videos and been like why the fuck am i watching this stupid shit been a ase mater tech 10 years and your box impressed me damn thats a nice set up
im going to school to be a technician, i thought the tool required for school was alot of money. what do i do if i need one of those specialty tools on a real job, i cant just go pick one up
Nothing wrong with simply likin' tools If you're into that kinda stuff and even if you don't use 'em all, no big deal 'cause if there comes a time you may need to use that tool you you never got dirty, it's there for ya. At least you don't have to want for anything (for the most part). Besides, there's still a chance you might need something, but the odds in this case are slim. No big deal. It's all good!
I am interested in the multimeter you talked a bit about...a buddy of mine has a parasitic problem on a f 150 that the dealership cannot find...was it a fluke multimeter? If so, can I get a model # or some info on it please....
Shit the tool truck calls him when they need tools.
Holy Crap, I don't know what is more impressive, The amount of money you have invested in these tools OR the fact that you 1 know how to use each and every one and know where each one is when you need it. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

It's not the arrow, It's the Indian !!!
Scott, very well said.
You're the one ranting.
James Pietruch that statement is extremely racist

very impressive setup man. Thats gotta be One of the most complete sets of tools I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing... Fellow Garage journaler...

I thought this would be a garage queen toolbox but you obviously use and know all these tools. respect
Thank you. I despise garage queen toolboxes lol
you know he's single. lol
Mike USCG that's a good thing that's how he's able to make a livin and keep money in his pocket
Shit, if I could do it again, I would trade getting pussy for tools anytime.
@TheOtherWhiteBread0 With tools you can make a living and open a small to medium sized handyman company or a repair workshop, earning plenty of monies everyday.
@@kylegibson8041 with that many high end brand name tools he'd need to live twice to pay them off.
Michael McGarry haha fuck ye

Cheers Niall
Either you been collecting since day one, or YOU GOT A HELLAVA GIG! I'm impressed and Snap On THANKS YOU!
Clean TOOLS!!!! I always clean my tools after use. Thank you for your video.
I do as well. Dad always made me clean his back in the day and it stuck
Nestor Sosa JR. Yes sir. I'm given shit by my dad everyday for cleaning my tools and keeping them organized. I'm OCD. Lol. Dad can work out of a pile of sockets and ratchets and everything thrown in a transmission pan and no where everything is. It erks me.
your tool box is the best your wrench sets are the hands down the best I seen
i have a screwdriver and a crescent wrench!
lol
LOL bar
Wow, Wish I had a cresent wrench, but I guess before I get one , I need to learn to spell it.
yep,probably should.
it's spelled croissant
very Nice...A friend of mine recently retired after 45 years at head foreman in Engine Dept of International here in Sacramento, Calif...Similar rig, bed Red...said he had a round $600 K in the boxes ands tools...Lots of heavy tools.....he was diesel foreman...

khtoolman15 same considering this is only about 50k
Made me pause the video, had me thinking I had some messages 😆😂😭
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i love your tool box . i would love to have same like yours , very well organized. respect dude.
"What do you do for a living?"
"Lawn mower mechanic, mini bikes on the side."
He collects tool for a living
We have all heard the old jokes, " your kids aren't going to college, but the snap on guy's kids will!" Truth is, if you use these tools to make your living every day, then don't listen to the haters! It is a nice set up by the way!

Lib Smiter you obviously don't know the earning potential of this career field
They have tamper proof hex bits now!!! God damn it WTF!!!!
I'm done. Anyone have a towel?
Excuse me from the comments. I have just subscribed to the channel. I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you.
Eric O. says you can never have to many tools .. haha idk dude i think your there ..thats awesomw very nice
I was just about to bitch about the messy top, then I saw the first drawer. You win this round
snap and Mac love you dude. they must stop by and say hi to you all the time.
Tool box on steroids! Amazing collection!!
All of these notifications, my man's got more business than a Philadelphia lawyer
What brand of tamper proof hex bits are those? I've looked everywhere and can't find them.
Mac
Like the Chef Boyardee and bowl for those long days when you may not be able to get away. Emergency food stash.
That is impressive. You have just about everything a mechanic needs except a Trunk Monkey. Cheers.
Now that's a tool box! Puts my KRL 1022 to shame. I'd need a winning lottery ticket to match yours.
Very nice! Thank you for taking the time to make the video.
Do u have a 2ec345vg socket
Man that is one GREAT set of tools Well done my friend well done indeed!
After a career as heavy duty mechanic (retired now)only wish i should have never bought a tool that the company was suppose to supply
But did it for my own convenance
Saved time walking to tool room and looking for something
Now i got 2,280 lbs plus in tools sitting in my garage but its fun to have everything when i am out there playing
Just remember at some point we all retire
Then the stuff just sits there
Awesome set up! I saw your video posted on Farm Trucks page on FB and dang there are a lot of haters out there.
Lol, I've been reading the comments. Its pretty funny. Most of them are pretty far off base.
Damn, nice man... Definitely no harbor freight in there..lol
That is awesome. At least you use all your tools not like some of the set ups I've seen on you tube that look like they have never been used
your set up is goals for a garage. nice!!
that rack for your pliers drawer was pretty nifty
Luis De Leon Northern tool pliers rack. they really cleaned up that drawer
Just buy the harbor freight wheel bearing kit and use the adaptors in that kit. It's somewhere around 70 dollars with a 20 % off coupon.
Dude, best tool box tour on You Tube
question....do you lock your box every time you leave your work bay?
+testbooster Nope. I trust my coworkers. Funny thing is, I'm the first one in and the last one to leave and I lock it up at night. Go figure...
You are no longer allowed on the tool truck LOL.
He is the tool truck at this point lol
Owns everything and more haha
Thanks brother! I work on a lot of dirty maxes. Seems like everyone in my area wants to be the biggest and fastest.
how long did it take you to acquire all those tools? must be over 50k $$$ in tools and boxes... that's insane
bunkerbuster more like 100k+
Tbh i have no idea could be hundreds of thousands probably is
oh wow, that's a lot of money... you would think mechanics make over 100k a year with an investment like you have.
40k about the maximum you can make yearly within the UK
Farmer Ash 40k pounds I hope!
It's those guys with that rock and adjustable wrench that are the ones that get the job done
is that why they're always asking to borrow?
WOW you keep your tools like my wife keeps the kitchen dude yet she moans if I go out to the garage. I'm a Facom lover myself but thanks for showing the love :-)
When you are Done using that tool box I am intreasted in it!
Amazing.
A real mechanics epiq! Not like snap on junkie who bought his tools as a collection! Claims he uses them daily but they are cleaner than they are off the truck!
Did you mortgage your house before or after? I am looking for a similar setup!
nice set up looks like mine love the blue!
You must work on all kids of vehicles. I work for Ford motor company v and they provide most of the specialty tools that you had to buy. Some day I will own the same but I live in a. Very small town o I just don't need all them now. Love the tool box and organization

My fantasy for a 3rd year mechanic 😍
Based my toolbox tour and inventory off this video. Impressive tool set up man!
Some dream set up you got there.
Snap On man's kid is going to college!
Super tour one of the best i have seen thank for sharring
I'm in automotive school I can't wait till my tools collect to as big as yours
Nice tool box and tools.
When buying a tool box do you get any tools with it?
no, not that ive ever seen.
Usually not but snap on offers sets that include all the basic tools in a box. There are 6 levels each including everything in the lower levels. Set 6 which is pretty much every tool hand you could think of in a 54" box is almost 45000. It still isn't everything he has.
okay thank you
They give me sticker, and pay 65 for my tool box.
Oh my god this is amazing you have quite the collection my friend
Awesome box, every man's dream
nice set up man... I'm not a fan of the power bank but I only have one brand of electronic stuff with one charger.. but it looks like it works for you. anyway very nice
Awesome tool box! what brand are your torx, triple squares and hex bits? the ones in the blue cases? vim? cornwell?
+Justin Jose. Everything in the blue cases except for the tamper proof triple squares are vim. Everything in the red cases are mac. The tamper proof triple squares are cornwell.

devoncoolman88 you should be glad that Northstar tool has laid dormant.
I've seen some bad ass tool boxes but this has tools!
Incredible man, awesome box.
The Car Whisperer thanks for the info. Again, great setup.
Very nice box, but those ASE badges make it 10x better haha
Incredible box!
did you ever have the Snap-on master series?
I know im a little late on this video but if u dont mind telling how much did this box cost will all the lockers and everything added on?
Nice set up! You mentioned you that you have a Duramax engine tool kit. Does it have a part #? What tools does it consist of ?
It's the kent-moore engine service kit. Has front and rear crank seal remover/installers, injector tools, flywheel holder and a few other tools
Nice box u got there! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just wanna know the brand name of all the tools...great box
One word and that is impressive
I bet you've got 150 grand or more invested in that setup. Much respect.
Why did you connect the 3/4 inch strait to the hose?
Nick Rutter most airlines are 3/8", 3/4" gun is on a 1/2" air hose to supply more air.
ive watched a few tool box videos and been like why the fuck am i watching this stupid shit been a ase mater tech 10 years and your box impressed me damn thats a nice set up
If you don't mind me asking. How much do you think you have invested in tools? Do you just work at an automotive shop?
im going to school to be a technician, i thought the tool required for school was alot of money. what do i do if i need one of those specialty tools on a real job, i cant just go pick one up
+Tailz99! honestly with just his tool cart with sockets is probably 99% of what you would need dont worry about specialty tooks
How much would your value your absolutely fantastic collection of equipment, and how long have you been in the trade?
I am interested in the multimeter you talked a bit about...a buddy of mine has a parasitic problem on a f 150 that the dealership cannot find...was it a fluke multimeter? If so, can I get a model # or some info on it please....
Sweet setup!
