I have met Swamaji and also did TM for many years before meeting Swamiji. I have also met many other Gurus along the path. Swamiji came into this world to put people on the path of meditation just as Maharishi did. Mantra Meditation has value just as Swamiji's meditation has value. When use words like Samandi people not understand it. If Guru say to you it will take lifetimes to acheive Samandi no one will do meditation. Swamiji and Maharashi were here to help place you on the parh. Best goal one can do is help others with Love. Compassion understanding kindness and other values will need to be achieved prior to Samadhi or Tapas. Meditation is a proccess and is a lifestyle of self development in learning how to best serve the Divine by experience and discovery of ones own self. Guru's are just here to help set you on the path. Greatest thing Swamiji ever said to me was, "I give you experiences." Difference between spirituality and religion is spirituality in meditation gives you direct experience. Religion gives you beliefs. Swamiji greatest Guru in healping one realize the truth. Swamiji said. "Know the truth troough meditation, then you yourself will know who you are, your religion, your purpose, and your Nature."

Swamiji is very patient here and generous. He could have just remained in supreme Realisation but His extreme compassion got Him into selfless service. I wonder if anyone here get it how lucky they are. Also why so often people are coughing at such gatherings ? Are they really sick or just nervous or attention seeking ? Maybe Yogis Shakti is so purifying they start coughing...I mean really at every meditation group there are coughing individuals, once again Swamiji is very gracious !

Um... coughing is a natural automatic reaction in the body, wtf? A Mahatma like swamiji is the epitome of humility and understanding, and here you are nagging about people coughing, lmao *sigh*. Spirituality is about compassion, acceptance and forgiveness, not judgement, exclusivity or being bound by social etiquette...

Karma yoga is what these people needed. To dedicate their actions and thoughts to the field/environment and give up the results thereof this practice purifies the mind like nobody’s business. And samadhi will come naturally, why? Because samadhee is the minds nature. To know the underlying reality is myself consciousness and every object or thoughts essence is consciousness is samadhi its just knowledge of reality.

I just recently found out that not all people have a mental dialog, a narrator, if u will and that men have the ability to actually think about nothing. It's was a shock to find that not everyone has this constant Never ending "voice of mind" chattering away through life. So, I wonder if the people who don't, have an easier time with meditation? I find it difficult to quiet my mind.

Some comment just after listening the first minutes of the video . I do practice TM and finished the teacher training course , I would first NOT ask another GURU for any opinion about TM or any difference about meditations , cos I got the full knowledge of it ! Second : the biggest problems of communication especially spiritual ones and experiences are the TRANSLATORS!!! Even without translators the difference in state of consciousness of the person asking and answering makes it that the asking person gets a knowledge on his level and the GURU talking on another level . PLUS a translator with his own understanding and ability to grasp the question and answer messes it up greatly. 3. Of course that during the practice of TM you get the experience of SAMDHI . Now there are different LENGTHS or time being in samadhi . But that is another story. Of course the guy here is a practitioner of TM but NOT a teacher so he had NOT the full knowledge so his questions are according to his knowledge.

My reply is late to this but your comment on translators is very relevant indeed. First of all many people are not even aware of the possibility that a translator might be misinterpreting, mistranslating (or both) their questions.

On one tape I heard MMY say, that every technique by which one transcends is Transcendental Meditation.
That also means that if you don't transcend with "TM" then for you it might not be transcendental.
Don't go for a label but for your goal which is to know.

May I add some views on this point please?
To me, samadhi is not a sadhaka's ultimate goal. It cannot be. Samadhi, whether Savikalpa Samadhi or Nirvikalpa Samadhi, is a trmporary taste of the transcendental divinity. It's just a means to an end.
The sage Patanjali tells us that the practice of constant, unbroken dhyana or contemplation leads to Samadhi. Similarly, the practice of the divine state of Samadhi will ultimately lead to either liberation or salvation, mukti or moksa.
So, moksa should be the ultimate goal of a spiritual aspirant, not Samadhi, as I understand it.

Ramana was asked , " Does the path of self realisation go through samadhi?" He answered , 'They are synonymous."
      Ref; 'Talks with Ramana.'

      @urb3361 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Exactly samadhi is the state of self realization oneness with God... realizing the truth "thou art that" (tatvamasi).. samadi moksha nirvana kaivalya swarg paramapadasopana kailasa vaikunta enlightenment are indeed synonymous as HH Sri Sri bhagwan Ramana specified.. it just depends on which school of philosophy u came from..

I have been sitting closing my eyes for 1 hr past 3 days trying to focus on forehead. Also hardly avoided pains, itching on body I got. In one of the video clip this guru said he will guarantee he will give experience in 1 hr of meditation. But I have done 1 hr everyday for 3 days continuously...I kind of literally expecting some sense of peace in my heart or vision from this guru. Turned out to be not true. Does anyone really had any experience ???? Or was it just a sense of calmness that normally happen with meditation.
Looks like all Gurus in India esp one who easily found in internet are mostly exaggerating. I hope divine will give me some clue on finding real way of doing the meditation. May be fact is meditation practice requires more days consistently for mind to become peaceful and sharp. I probably do it my way. Unnecessarily pissed off today with God himself because kind of belief I developed on this Guru. I think I should rely on God more than any Guru. I really felt things were going awesome (need not be miraculous) when relied on God.

    • @giselagosewinkel3473
      @giselagosewinkel3473 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Then "God", what or who-ever you mean by this, which is to know!, could disappoint you also.
In such an important matter it might be better to rely on yourself, your own judgment. Has'nt this always been said? (Advise yourself then God advises you.)
Indian culture and custom provides quite a different understanding of truth.
It's a kind of custom to talk everything good no matter if it is "fact".
So from our perspective they often "lie".
It is a great misunderstanding. and confusion for the people in the west.
What an indian Guru promises is what he himself wants to happen.
That is his "truth". It is real to him in his "Here and Now" without concerning the future. The concept of anything to achieve which includes experiences is somehow foreign to this adaption.
You say you probably do it your way. This is the only way beyond comparison.
You know enough to be your own guide, I think.

Meditation is not just sitting with eyes closed. Meditation is when you have no thoughts in your mind, which is a natural peaceful state you will experience, and only then, you can talk about the next steps. This can be achieved through various practices, swamiji's approach is one of many in Indian culture. I would not be surprised if it takes 3 years!!!

Ishwar Kumar patonce is most important you should be thoughtless while you are in meditation you should not think what will happen or not happen just watch and wait one day the creator will bring lots of happiness in inner body and your goal will be achieved

    • @vnesh196

Please don't expect miracles in 3 days. His advise is to meditate daily and have experience. The experience he mentioned is calmness and clarity in mind and definitely this will not be achieved in 3 days. When you long for experience you are going far from the divine. Just meditate and see how your life transforms. That is the experience you will have.

If anybody can give samadhi than this beautiful existence would have given when you were born. Whoever says he can give samadhi to someone for sure he is FAKE.

if you do meditation for only 1or2 hours a day. then you will achieve the state of smadhi for only for 1or 2 hours. or then you will wake up by your self within that time. I know what are you talking about. you think if you do meditation all alone in your house and what if you woke up after one month or did not wake up at all. then what will happen. actually that will not happen that you meditate and go to smadhi for long long time. no that will not happen. or easily. it will only happen when you learn ( khechri vidheya ). only with khechri vidheya you can go to long time in smadhi. it's like 100s or 200s hundreds years in smadhi or more. that's how ancient sages of India was able to do meditate. hope you got ans

I have found this to be true. It is UNCANNY how I "wake up" in EXACTLY 1 HOUR. I don't even set a timer. I get into samadhi in 20-40 minutes (hopefully, with practice, sooner sometimes) and then exactly 1 hour later, I pop out and am "back to normal".

So stupid to ask another teacher about TM. TM is no techniqwue it is Natures mind to go towards more & more joy. There is nothing better! The best way to transcend and reach Samadhi in the most simple way.

Listen, I use a different method to attain Samadhi. Sitting in the lotus position, member in hand, do some mutiya maar. This method will help you with Samadhi. If you have people such as students watching, do a few strokes and emit your holy oil on them. With oil streaming down their faces, they will at once understand your Guru like qualities.
