It's a twisted version of Omnitrix made by asmuth to destroy all life instead. It wasn't complete so the user felt the transformation as their body twisted and deformed to make the aliens. They were all wrong due to it being a prototype. The user went mad using it. But they can't choose to transform as there's no dial to transform willingly. It transforms when it feels a threat in a 20 mile radius.
