Payment Schedule: revenue recognition

I am demonstrating two approaches to the creation of a payment schedule: Both approaches give the same, correct, answer and if we update any of the data, they will both continue to generate the right answer. However, consider the effort involved in the original, complex, single cell solution formula and the time it would probably take most of us to generate. Consider also, the likelihood of making mistakes with a long formula: it is much higher than with my alternative approach. My alternative approach is simpler to create, simpler to understand and simpler to maintain.
