i believed it was Halsin since he was using his wildshape perfectly, maybe Orin had corrupted him with Bhaal's power to cause him to go crazy. kind of insane Orin doesn't just mimic Halsin's shape, but his powers too
I like how Orin doesn't quite match the character she mimics. She just acts in a way to try and distract us from it. She took Lae'zel in mine, and right after she refused Vlakiith. So I knew that it wasn't her. Lae'zel, running to me and acting so scared? Nah. I know her. She hides her fear with anger. But this clip is the best example. She is dramatic, using the threat of direct harm to throw us off. She makes it seem like Halsin is a danger to himself to keep us from noticing the way she talks. He doesn't talk like that, but we also want to protect him and Scratch.
The minute Orin opened her mouth as Halsin I knew it was her. The tone and inflection of her voice is so wildly different from Halsin's actual voice. I'm going to enjoy killing her no one harms Scratch or Halsin like that and lives lol
I knew that Orin had infiltrated the camp, even so when this scene arrived I assumed it might be a new personal companion story for Halsin, that might be connected to that one druid in the city or something. I assumed his weird speech and the moment he began saying "your friend" instead of referring to himself with pronouns, it was some sort of possession from an angry nature spirit or so. Only when he began cracking and Orin appeared did I realize what had happened, and I freaked out.
You can tell it's Orin because even though Halsin would rather be living in the woods, a few days in a city wouldn't corrupt him like this. He was a sex slave to a drow for 3 years, Baldurs Gate should be a walk in the park for him. Plus his tone of voice and speech patterns aren't accurate. Dave Jones did such a good job pretending to be Orin who's pretending to be Halsin.
This is a very old-timey interpretation of nature vs urbanism In reality, urban enviroments are usually just as full of animals and plants as the wilds, there are just very different species and they are much more hidden
Orin as Halsin: "animals are killed, nature is dying in the gutter!" Halsin as Halsin: "people are egocentric and forgot that we are a community. We are pack animals and shouldn't be acting that way."

Reading these comments from 8 months back really just proves people shouldn't hurry to play the games on the launch date but instead take their time. So many things have changed in the game since it came out
Orin is one shitty actor, I knew the moment Lae'zel came up to me in the sewers and said "We need to run" that it wasn't her because there is no way Lae'zel would run from a fight.
So there is some party banter where Halsin says some of these same things, which makes me think Orin scans the memories or personality of the people she shapeshifts into, but she lays it on too thick every time.
It took me all of 10 seconds to suspect fully that it was Orin. Then again, when that little orphan girl and her cat showed up in camp, I was so sure it was Orin I literally quicksaved and attacked the child. Then it wasn’t, so I quickloaded.
Yep, ran into the "kid" in the sewers and was surprised at first. But how the kid managed to get down there was sus. Don't know if she did actually kill the cat
Does this not happen in a good durge/halsin romance run? I never ran into this scene, only a "hey dude, I don't like the city, but I'm down bad, so I'll stay for you" when asked how he was doing in baldurs gate.
Didn’t even have Orin infiltrate my camp, my curiosity got me into the sewers where laezel said hello I’m just thinking to my self, why are you down here with less HP then you should, it’s a trick
So, question. I know 'Halsin' absolutely mauled Scratch, obviously, but... If this is how we discover who was impersonated, does this actually kill our dog? We can see him breathing, but that doesn't mean he's not actively dying in this scene. I ask because I have a bunch of characters planned who would actually find Halsin being in peril a huge gut punch, but I don't wanna lose their *puppy* over it lol
Maybe a little late, but Scratch is fine after this. And it's not always Halsin or this exact scene that plays out. Also, be careful with spoilers, this video is a huuuge one.
Lmao, i imagine the PC seing Halsin (Orin) in bear form and started undressing like "oh, ready for me?" Even Orin would be like, wtf am i dealing with here?

She took my Halsin, then a bit later my main quest updated to see Halsin went his own way. Like, what? After everything I did for you, and your being madly involve with me; you're just going to suddenly GTFO on me!? Even though I haven't saved you from Orin yet? Pretty sure she also has Yenna now. I see her cat, but not her in my camp.

I never got this scene so i was genuinely scared for halsin and pupper cause I would have killed halsin ON THE SPOT. I lost my dog recently and that dread sank into my chest once more after seeing scratch on the floor ;_;
3:48 *teleports into a kneeling position* "Nothing personal, Scratch."
i believed it was Halsin since he was using his wildshape perfectly, maybe Orin had corrupted him with Bhaal's power to cause him to go crazy.
kind of insane Orin doesn't just mimic Halsin's shape, but his powers too
Orin is also a shapeshifter or something
@@abduljah9355 but she was using wild shape right? it has the wild shape effects
@@ovencake523She hurt Scratch in her normal form/“Halsin” form, then turned into a bear for the ruse.
The pre-industrial society and its consequences have been a disaster for druid-kind.
Omg.... I have to keep him in my party on my next play through. If anyone hurts Scratch or Owly I'm reloading.
3:29 That +20 Not found.. 🤣🤣 Cheaty cheaty dont be gready. 😆
I hope Scratch was ok after this!
me: sad seeing scratch hurt
halsin: nakey, moaning and groaning and growling
me: HOLEH MOLEH

"I just wanna talk to her"
Had “Halsin” run up to me when I was about to get to the sewers. I knew it wasn’t him immediately. I know my boy, and that’s not my boy!!!
Good lord that is one buff elf
I like how Orin doesn't quite match the character she mimics. She just acts in a way to try and distract us from it. She took Lae'zel in mine, and right after she refused Vlakiith. So I knew that it wasn't her. Lae'zel, running to me and acting so scared? Nah. I know her. She hides her fear with anger.
But this clip is the best example. She is dramatic, using the threat of direct harm to throw us off. She makes it seem like Halsin is a danger to himself to keep us from noticing the way she talks. He doesn't talk like that, but we also want to protect him and Scratch.
You can also kinda tell its not Halsin cause Halsins voice is deeper
The minute Orin opened her mouth as Halsin I knew it was her. The tone and inflection of her voice is so wildly different from Halsin's actual voice. I'm going to enjoy killing her no one harms Scratch or Halsin like that and lives lol
Oh god, there is so many ways for Orin to appear to the player!
This is a very old-timey interpretation of nature vs urbanism
In reality, urban enviroments are usually just as full of animals and plants as the wilds, there are just very different species and they are much more hidden
Well yeah, he’s a Druid. Besides, it’s not even him. He has these opinions, but it’s very subdued compared to Orin’s interpretation
Orin as Halsin: "animals are killed, nature is dying in the gutter!"
Halsin as Halsin: "people are egocentric and forgot that we are a community. We are pack animals and shouldn't be acting that way."
I was so worried orimin could kill anyone so went immediately to find her and got rid of her in second day i set foot in the city.
Wow I didn't know the modding scene had gone that far.
I do appreciate the Cirilla of Cintra character design you got going on
My play through was Laezel, I knew it was her at the start because she ran asking for help in the sewers, we all know she would never to that haha
Halsin fighting the corruption be me when Im trying to put words together while having a sugar crash and be shaking like no tommorow and cant think straight
It was too obvious it was orinn for me, halsin would never/could never manage this
Had her kidnap Lae’zel in my playthrough, I’m thinking I got off lightly
Laezel is one of my favourites. They took Gale in mine.
ikr? i was like "eh laezels tough. ill get to her later. i got crates to loot."
First time she took lazel, second was the kid. I lost nothing.
@@Suberi909I think she always took the companion who cared less or haven't been your party enough.
@@RahulBodana She have a number she can chose from, Lazael, Gale or Halsin/Minthara depending on who you left on camp, if your team is made of those 3, then she'll always be the little girl, Astarion, Shadowheart, Wyll and Karlach will never be impersonnated for some reason (i mean, i get the reason for Wyll and Karlach, but for Astarion or SH idk)
In my play through she turned in to Lazel and tried to kill the little girl in our camp.
NOBODY HURTS SCRATCH> DO NOT TELL ME SCRATCH CAN BE HURT
Scratch can Indeed die
She kidnapped a child and did unspeakable things to a cat in my playthrough.
Yep, ran into the "kid" in the sewers and was surprised at first. But how the kid managed to get down there was sus.
Don't know if she did actually kill the cat
@The1Mischief I was in camp and she cooked the cat and tried to get me to eat it.
Does this not happen in a good durge/halsin romance run? I never ran into this scene, only a "hey dude, I don't like the city, but I'm down bad, so I'll stay for you" when asked how he was doing in baldurs gate.
I broke Orin before killing her
How satisfying it was after all her bs psycho games

New meaning behind “go outside and touch grass”
Didn’t even have Orin infiltrate my camp, my curiosity got me into the sewers where laezel said hello
I’m just thinking to my self, why are you down here with less HP then you should, it’s a trick
Orin will be dismantled.
Orin: You think a soothing balm can save him?
Me: Well I have scrolls of resurrection and Withers, so yes?
People entering London/NYC for the first time:
Go for it, it's not Halsin.
i would have attacked halsin without waiting a second thought >.>
it doesnt even sound like him which is a nice touch

Love the little nod to stone not being nature in Orin’s fake Halsin speech. With how long he’d been in nature alone for??? Gave it away immediately.

Pretty sure she also has Yenna now. I see her cat, but not her in my camp.

I saw it and instantly thought, that HAS TO BE ORIN. My Halsin would never. The 1 (count it 1 out of countless) that I didn't romance Astarion I romanced Halsin and I knew him better than that.
