When I’m having a bad week I’ll usually chuck these videos on. That’s when I realise there’s actually people out there that have it worse than me on the daily. Who uses a drone for beach fishing with only 125 metres of braid on their spool? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Hey Luke love the vids man keep up the great work I wish you and your family have a great year and have fun it's very exciting watching your vids you make my day keep up all the hard work man
Luke your fishing the wrong beach around that coast try Thathra beach Tura beach at merimbula and Haycock Point in Eden these beaches all produce good fish as I have fished them myself or else try in front of merimbula lake mouth on the surf you will be surprised what you catch from these beaches if your really keen try the surf beach at Green Cape Eden very early morning cheers Phil
Yeah man, I head to my local hot spot when I’m not working. Been catching flat head, bream, snapper and aus salmon. Looking forward to the next trip, tight lines brother 🎣
Try using some medium thickness latex cotton when pinning your bait bro helps keep the bait more firm and hook in place plus won't get pecked off by small fish👍🏻
Hot tip tekken. Dont fly out lines out 100 meters if you have 110 meters of line on your spool. Also fishing on a featureless beach. Your only gana get sting rays. But all the same keep up the great work . 😎
Luke for drone fishing I would use a 14ft penn prevail rod with either a penn spinfisher 7 10500 or a Shimano Saragossa 20k, braid i would go 80 or 60 pound and for a rig I would use a 2 hook snell with a grapple sinker. But I loved the video and if you come back to Perth I would love to go fishing with you.

Gotta pick your spot a little better Luke... I wouldn't cast that far near those rocky outcrops, that's asking for a bust up as we saw. Chose a spot further along the beach with no rocks if you can if you're going to set the bait that far out.
Good effort and good video, the likelihood of landing a decent fish in that area would have been slim to none. First fish was a ray, pretty easy to tell with no head shakes. Probably want to give a bit more thought to your tackle and surroundings before fishing.
@@lukefalzon Fishing down in Melbourne always a challenge, weather been pretty crap but yes during the breaks have caught a few nice pinkies and flathead. Things starting to pick up now, good size snapper coming through. Tight lines mate.
I think it would be a lot easier, for you to catch a fish if you just to go on a fishing boat with a boater who is knowledgeable with finding fish, and maybe you could start catching fishes in a couple of hours depending on your ability to catch fish. Finding where fishes are located can be done on a boat, and more quickly than any other way you can think of. If you make bad assumptions then you could waste a lot of time trying to catch fishes.
Just sent you a message my name is Andrew Mauger. I got two boats 5.8m one and a 4m one and I go for pretty much everything crabs, jewfish, mackerel, Marlin, flathead, trout and bass. Just a name a few.

You probably don’t wanna be using a drone and sending line out in such a rocky area. Best on a sandy rather than rocky beach. Love your videos but I saw that a mile away.
@lukefalzon unfortunately on that light of a rod with so much line out it would have been almost impossible to stop any that was bigger than about 60cm wide. Some of the really big ones are over 200 kilos depending on species and they often require 100lb braid and alot of it plus a couple hours to fight them. The last one i hooked that big i fought for 3 hours then ended up having the knot to my hook tighten so much the knot cut itself

@@lukefalzon never saw it but it stayed bottom the whole time and snapped my 80 pound braid and I have landed 2 that did the same thing so I knew it was just a really big ray, fought me for an hour so I would say at least 50kg stingray but I noticed the fish you hooked did very similar fighting so that makes me think it was a sting ray and I lost mine because when it digs itself in the sand its basically impossible to move it.
