Not 1st Im really glad I got every brawler in the game with boxes only b4 starr road bcz I got the full feeling of excitement I'm I'm still happy that they made such a flawless system like starr drops and road
I started playing in season 13 of the brawl pass. But i remember a friend of mine told me to save my boxes for when the new legendary brawler comes out. This scared me since i wasn't very progressed into my account. Starr Road is a good addition because it makes progression always worthwhile. With boxes, you could open 100 mega boxes and get nothing, and a friend could open a small box and get a legendary brawler. I would perfer to play the new brawler almost instantly, rather than having to wait months or years just for to show up.
I started playing on global release and a couple weeks into the game got Leon from a box and he was incredibly OP at the time, that was awesome but then I didn't get a new brawler for the longest time. I remember saving up hundreds of boxes for the Gene release to hopefully get him and ended up disappointed. I didn't play the game again until earlier this year since i mainly played Clash Royale(never again) and have been loving the starr road progression system, hoping the star drops can make it a best of both worlds
I remember that happiness when i was getting a new brawler with boxes... I remember when i got both Gus and Crow from one box and was really glad. I got Amber from Starr road a few days ago and i felt nothing... literally nothing...
@@galaxybrawl I've quit clash royale and moved to brawl stars because my clanmates became inactive from how awful the updates have been lol (and also because of the new EWC conversions). I can confirm Clash Royale is awful rn
I feel like boxes should have just been reworked They should have made it like clash royale where some chest give you the option between 2 cards so you still have that exitement but its not that punishing for some people if you get a brawler you dont want or powerpoints you dont want Making the game less random but still have that exitment when you unlock something
I first started playing Brawl Stars in 2019, so I lived through the brawl box era and I have all the brawlers but majority of them came from the boxes. So it took me by surprise when they said they were getting rid of boxes, but I wasn’t really mad in fact I was a bit glad that you would no longer have to hope that the brawler you wanted came in the box and that you could choose which to unlock yourself, there were also times that you could go through mad boxes and still not get the brawler you wanted. But there are times when I do miss the brawl boxes.
I also got Spike from a mini box💀It was the beginning of January 2020, when I saw the silhouette of spike I wasn't even reacting, lol, I was just standing there, speechless

boxes could have been fixed if they were about to give you a brawler , instead of giving u that brawler they should’ve give a rarity unlock . basically , if u want Leon and normally get amber , the unlock will let you choose which legendary you want instead of giving you a random legendary brawler . or if your chances say you’re getting Rico then you will be able to switch Rico to any super rare . and yes , I mention converting the epic unlock brawl pass feature into probably star drops because boxes were removed and you can’t go back in time to change brawl stars forever again
I hated this update so much that I even quit brawl stars and went back to Roblox but when Starr drops were added I immediately started playing brawl stars again because I love the excitement you get when you get a mythic or legendary brawler
i was mega unlucky with boxes i had 2 weeks worth of playtime when boxes were removed i got spike in 2019 from a box and then never got anything good i started in december of 2018
Since they nerfed a lot of things from other places for Starr Drops, I think they should really remove all things cosmetics inside of Starr Drops since cosmetics isn’t a progression at all in my opinion, I got mythic drop and I got useless R-T skin, I think I prefer coins or power points or even better a whole mythic or epic brawler 😄 or atleast credits
Face it, right now star drops are just glorified boxes. The only difference is a currency to get new brawlers and a fixed rewards system (25 points for rare, no more, no less)

There’s already a ton of progression available, so they didn’t really need to add more. Cosmetics are just a nice way to spice up the loot pool.
