It seemed the same to us, and my daughter is a KFC connoisseur. I did buy the round trip ticket for NEX at the beginning and it saved us some yen, but I wish i had not to be able to have had more flexibility in my schedule on the last day. I had booked nine hours Narita and we just ran out of time, so we missed it.

Yes. I bought two new suica cards in Narita airport last Sunday the 19th. Passmo was also available.
I think the chip shortage for new cards ended about three weeks ago.
