With this video you have collected basically all my mediums! I agree with you that if you have prismas and polychromos you basically have it all. I have those (and yes I’m so heavy handed but I got my polys recently so I’m trying 😅) and inktense pencils! The inktense pencils are my fav. My go to. You can get lighter pastel colors with more water 😊 I like to color on the paper and then wet it the most. When I want light shades I just barely touch the paper. Even when it looks like it’s not there, it is!! I am CONSTANTLY learning new things with them every time I use them. And I’ve been using mine for over a year! Ohh I’m so excited for you, you’re gonna have so much fun!! ❤

Inktense made dilute will make pastel colours, I often use tiny amounts of saddle brown and carmine for pale skin tone. The paint pan white version is more opaque than the pencil, so worth looking out for
I have been coloring in books for a long time...12-14 yrs. I have lots of high priced quality pencils. I keep going back to my Prismas. Nothing works like them. I have had no trouble with mine. I do keep them in a warm place, they are so soft they like the sun an warmth. I think if they get cold and you bang them around or drop them, they tend to break leads. So keep them warm. lol. If you think one has broken lead, try heating them up in a heating pad. Of all of the hundreds of dollars I have in pencils, if I could only have one set, it would be Prisma Premier 150's. Also you do not need to sharpen them so much, just turn them as coloring with and they form a point, because of their softness.

I am always puzzled when people say Prismas are of horrible quality - maybe I've been lucky but mine are all working perfectly, no broken leads (especially after I started using mainly helical blade sharpener, manual and electric). They truly are unique, no pencil can do what they do. I have an old 130 set, a new 150 set and some odds and ends I've gotten as extras or presents. I use my Prisma white and black on pretty much every page. I don't use them on all pages, I choose the type of pencil depending on paper or the material I used for basing. I think I've been kinda winning in the Prisma lottery 😂 I wish Apple Barrel paints were 50cents here, they are usually about 5dollars per bottle😪

I've received some pretty good advice on how to keep Prismas from breaking...keeping them warm being the main one. That's so interesting but it totally makes sense. My cabin is cold. And truly they are a fabulous pencil - nothing does what they do. I'm just thrilled I can find them for less than full price!
Hey Candice. I once tried Prismas 2nd hand and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. They are about £200 here in UK so not worth the money. Even on sale on temu or ali is too expensive would rather pay the money for derwent. Like you i am so FSS. Am waiting for the next couple of mythos both rainbow realms and undead academy. Have a big case of fomo and FSS. I believe the Pitt pens would be great in these books. Am still interested in the vault book, wouldn't it be interesting if they did a version for mythogoria? Am getting together a goodwill box of british goodies for you. Hope Jack is okay after falling off the sofa. Would love to see a picture of him. Wont comment here on the US election we have enough problems in the UK, so not fair to throw stones.... I knwo it sounds really mad but I would love to return to the US one day and just cruise around the aisles of walmarts or micheals and get all these wonderful art supplies that we cant get in the UK. Like apple barrel paints or gelatos. I would love to see some of the wonderful Northwest states and maybe the national parks in the N/S Dakotas. Love to you & Jack in your cosy cabin.

Oi, oi, watch for the angry primsa people. However. I wonder if yours smell because of the third party seller. I have never heard of any smelling. They could be a dupe too. There is some speculation whether there were dupes however I'm pretty sure SarahRenaeClark found that there were dupes. Something out of china around Brutfuner -ish. Mine are light but NOT as light as you make yours out to be. Enjoy them though. I hope your next set is better!
That has crossed my mind. They color really well though. But the smell...makes me suspicious i got a dupe. Not sure..the font/printing on the pencils look right, the colors seem accurate, made in Mexico...but you never can tell
I think she needs to speak to a psychiatrist about the fascination with the guts and eyeballs that’s just too much in a book. It’s not one page it’s several.

I agree. But I also agree the Prismas do something special no other pencil does. I feel like I can color anything if I have those two sets!
