    Love my SBGX341!
GS really nailed it w/this unique case design that’s rugged and stylish. Original and refreshing, and in an unusual twist for GS, bicolor lume and a perfect porcelain like dial. The white dial seems simple compared to many of GS’s other offerings, but under the macro, it’s flawless; that’s harder to do on a pure white dial.
The way GS incorporated elements from their very first watch, all the way to the newer Evo9 design cues is absolutely seamless. The crown at 4 has a utilitarian aesthetic, and also hints at the original 62 GS; it’s an inside joke, meaning you don’t have to wind it.
Super compact, comfortable, and fun; it’s a luxury watch
w/impressive tech and history, and it’s also quite a strap monster. Currently have mine on a grey Artem hydro flex strap.
Thanks always for the great content!

The Tudor North Flag was released before its time. This watch would be extremely popular in today’s market.

Very true, although I do think it has been rediscovered. I found it interesting Watch Crunch chose to highlight the North Flag as a sub $3k because I’ve never seen it below that price. In fact I’ve seen it go for as much as $4K on the secondary market, probably because it’s a Tudor with an integrated bracelet that’s no longer in production.

I think that the most overlooked watches belong to the Lineage line from Casio.
They offer almost everything you can get in a whole watch industry in nice and versatile package. I know that some of us just can't accept the digital screen on the dial, but it keeps the functions without making the watch crumped and illegible.
I just love that they are entirely maintenance-free with multiband 6 and solar charging.
If you prefer analog alternative with similar specs, the Oceanus watches (especially S100) are worth the shot.

I wear a divers 65 (the hodinkee 38mm green dial one) as my daily. really really amazing watch, feels thin and subtle and vintage but with all the benefits of modern tech. and the bracelet is just amazing, it's so thin and comfortable. and it works with all the clothes I wear since the green is like a muted forest neutral green

I was lucky enough to purchase a brand new (box, papers and stickers still applied) Tudor North Flag back in March 2024. It took me many many years to find the perfect one and finally to pull the trigger. I have loved the non-conventional Tudor design since it came out in 2015. The problem is I'm afraid of wearing it since it's so rare... I know... I know... I'm guilty! 😅 Great video! Great content!

It's been a while, but the YT algo popped this up....Good to be back. The Tudor has been on my list for a few yrs now. Just coming back from HK, no luck again only one on canvas which I passed. Not to be outdone picked up another hit list so not a total loss. BTW prices are falling more in HK, expect the world to follow. Thx as always M, outstanding camera work, and kudos for continuing to make this hobby enjoyable!!

You know one watch that I don’t see too many people talk about and it’s a great watch. It’s an omega semester 120 whether it is pre-era bond but it’s a very good every day watch and no one does. A community is talking about it. You only find a few videos online. I watch your videos a lot. I like your mindset how we look at watch collecting !! a lot of of us look at it for the trial of the chase of finding something unique it’s like digging for gold. Some other people just wanna get one grill watching I said, but no one has seen talking about the omega 120 in this channel, you have seen it before and if you had talk about it, I apologize thank you so much for all your information all the time and the list now I will take the grand seiko✅

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

Formex Essence, Omega Quartz Aqua Terra, Seiko Astron -the ultimate travel watch/world timer.
Those three watches are all $2,000 dollars or so, and they are all fantastic. The Omega is not finished as nicely as the other two, but it has the big name.
The Seiko first and second gen watches are insane. The models over $1500 are just as good, mostly. If you get a low-wear Astron, Seiko charges $407 for a full service. The watch will be perfect after that. You can easily find even the $3500 models for $1,200, with many of the strap models costing less. So a good case watch for $500 plus $407 plus $350 for a new strap is $1257. A $3500 premium full bracelet model will set you back $1200, so $1607 after service, and they are like new.
Seiko Astron has the best titanium finishing anywhere. The watches look and feel luxurious on a level that one really cannot get for under $10,000.
If you need automatic, buy the Formex. Monta is another great option.

Not a bad trio. I do agree in regards to that particular divers 65 being better than most other 65’s, but IMO the Hodinkee LE 65 with the green dial is the ultimate 65. And I like the north flag, but like you said, it wears too large and chunky. Finally, that GS seems like a decent option, but I think their previous gen quartz GMT models (with the crown at 3) are the go to GS sports option.

Great watches: the Oris is a strange love affair. I went to a watch shop which by coincidence had the Oris which I love from head to toe, and a Marathon Search & Rescue (which I wasn’t familiar with) which is a chunky watch, each has the same movement, the Marathon has no exhibition back.
The turning point: turned the bezel of each one, the Oris was very nice but the gripping surface was too small to my liking, tried the Marathon: WOW! lots of gripping surface! Did a small research about Marathon: used by Military Forces in U.S., Canada, and other services (Search & Rescue). Available with an equivalent of Superluminova but brighter & last longer OR with Tritium tubes. Went the day after and got the Marathon and very happy with my choice! 👌❤️👍
N.B.: I personally had an Omega 300 series watch which I wasn’t impressed with the bezel at all, which I sold back afterwards (bezel grippiness is a turning point for me!
Seiko has a family of high precision quartz watches which should be looked at!
The Tudor North Flag is an under the radar watch which is a gem, and probably my next to purchase watch.
The Denim Omega is another gem too!
    All the best,
    Johnny

i would go for the Tudor north flag . and i guess power reserve indicator has a useful function to insure that your watch is fully wound when left for sleeping or holiday etc .

Please, tell us more about the Railmaster! Definitely grail worthy 👍

Why have a power reserve on an automatic watch? Because people don’t wear the same watch every day and they don’t want to reset the date and time every time they put it on. I wear the Snowflake a few days a week. If the power reserve is low, I either wear it or wind it.

I wish I didn't already have a tool/field watch, I love the railmaster but can't justify the price right now.

Oris used to be great, now that they decided for some reason to try and go up stream are no longer a value prop watch. I would get a used Oris with the ETA before getting the untested in-house movements they are using now. You can get the more reliability at a lesser price point. It just makes no sense to buy anything new from Oris anymore. Maybe we will get lucky and they get bought by Swatch.

Any of the COSC Aqua Terra models are a great value on the secondary market. There is a dial color way and movement choice for everyone’s tastes.

If you go this way... I had a Longines Conquest 38 mm yesterday on my wrist (blue dial) and for the price you have an excellent watch. The quality is here, finishing is top notch and the movement is fine, better than the sellita of the Oris. I had the tudor Black bay too and frankly the Longines for near half the price impressed me

I'd normally lean towards the Oris because it's the "little guy" but it's a diver and I'm really bored by dive watches, the GS is nice but I don't like the use of batteries, I have huge respect for spring drive and will have one one day but the 9F unfortunately needs a battery, that leaves the North Flag and the Railmaster and I'd be very happy with either, though I wouldn''t swap my Damasko for either.
