Oisin Doherty that’s a really terrible comparison. The difference is most people who are vegans have an issue with the negative impacts of how meat is produced which is why they don’t eat it . On the other end, us meat eaters do it because it tastes good. I can completely understand where they are coming from in terms of the disrespect.
@Oisin Doherty When I said they don't like how the meat is produced I meant the fact that we kill animals for our food. They have a different moral code than us and the vast majority of them believe it's bad to eat meat when humans can live without it. The few vegans I know all used to eat a ton of meat and every single one of them said they loved meat and it took a lot of time to drop it (which I believe applies to a good portion of vegans.) So when you eat meat in front of their faces in a vegan restaurant, something they've worked so hard to drop in order to save animals, you're basically spitting in their faces which is why you're comparison was so terrible. It's not the "food is food" concept, it's the symbolism behind each situation.
