I want them to make a Crimson Guard and then stop making NEW Cobra Army Builders and just do reissues of the other army builders every wave. At least for like a year or two, then they can roll out more new army builders. Theres just a lot of Joes and Cobra characters I'd like to see but half the releases a year being army builders is taking forever to get some super sought after characters out there.
The articulation and accessories had me sold on this guy. I am pretty unfamiliar with anything GI Joe, (outside Snake Eyes) at this moment, but these figures and some of the others have got me interested. That undamaged head sculpt really has me hoping hasbro re-uses it for either another Mach figure, or some The Jury members in the Marvel Legends line. Love the video as usual!

The Battle Android Troopers were one of my favorite G.I. Joe figures. I am so pleased that the folks behind the Classified line knocked this out of the park. Awesome pose photos at the end.
Your comparison with the older figures is telling. It seems like the first few waves, tried to give us “reimagined” stylized versions of the characters. But recently-the BAT and Croc Master being good examples-the figures are increasingly just upscaled, modernized forms of the original 80’s toy. Honestly I’m all for that.

I was jealous of the super 7 reveal of the BAT. But when Hasbro showed this off. all of that went away. This more realistic modern take is in my opinion much better than the old cartoon style. Great review as usual

Good review as always. Funny as adult collectors we still have to tip toe around the wife. I'm with ya there brother. I got stuff I only pull out if she's viking relatives out of town. I still haven't been able to get a Cobra Island Viper Trooper or a classic style Amazon Exclusive Roadblock or probably I hope I get those too. But there are way too many Flints, Lady Jaye and Cobra Commanders clogging up the shelves. When will Hasbro realize that when you have army builder figures they need there own case. I'd love to have 4 or 5 of these. You can call them a BAT-PACK! Hahahaha

Great review, great figure. My only critique is that both chest panels should have been cast in semi-translucent plastic (either blue or dark tinted) instead of opaque black. Hoping somebody casts those parts and sells them.

This is the one i have been anticipating the most. It looks amazing. I really hope there right and these new releases are going to be easier to get cause i need this guy in multiples.
It's surreal how these are out early in some places, yet not up for preorder anywhere. I got the python patrol one on preorder back when it went up. Kinda wish the chest plates were clear instead of black so it gave the 3d glass window effect the old figure gave off with it's sticker, considering how this is a near 1 to 1 remake. EDIT: I just realized I could probably try doing that if I got into resin casting, worth a shot honestly.
I recall a DDP issue where what looked like a normal B.A.T. but it was crazy deadly. Killed a few new joes (the second Sneak peak or Scoop comes to mind. Shot right through his scope) I hope someone makes a head with a Camera inside. Be a nod to the first Cobra Civil War in Marvel Comics. Fred aka Armored Cobra Commander spied on Serpentor thanks to this one B.A.T. . these and the Crimson Guard were on Serpentor's side. I never troop build but these guys will be worth it.
And p.s. Hasbro is passing out these characters to people with a good amount of followers. Lots of company's do this. Roland comes to mine with the SP-MK2

If I was Hasbro I'd keep these in circulation for a long time. They'll make Bank off these just like Storm Troopers for Black series.

exactly. Seems like they gave up on making modern reimaginings and just scaling up the old figures without any kind of redesign.

The chest plate is supposed to be able to come off so you can see the stuff underneath.

If those green Robox robots were bigger.. they could be like the Atlas droids but for the Joes.. Weaker than the BATS but faster..
