I'm an atheist, but if this is an accurate portrayal, he seems like a really great guy.
If you're an atheist and think Catholicism is outdated nonsense that needs to get with the times then you would love Pope Francis because he feels the same. He is doing things like taking down old Catholic art and replacing it with inviting fun centers where there isn't any hint of old artwork and instead a fun light show that shows words in different languages that say words like "inclusion" and "multi-culturalism." He is creating The Church Of What's Happening Now. No scripture, Christ or Apostles necessary - those things are just old fashioned things that are irrelevant to Francis, the modernist pope.
