All of the fuses are good, the A/C compressor is getting power and turns on, but just keeps blowing warm air. Both the cabin and intake filters are clean and almost new. Even though the compressor is turned on, is it possible one of the relays is bad? I hooked up an 3 way automotive air conditioning diagnostic manifold gauge and both the high and low pressure seems good and completely filled with freon.
If ur compressor is working then it could be hot air pressure not Freon in the system it may need to be reserviced
@@RBTheMechanic Thanks for the fast reply RB. Is that something one could do themselves, or requires special/expensive tools? How does hot air pressure get into the system? Thank you.
@@RBTheMechanic I just checked it out and it appears it might be possible to just release some of the built-up pressure in the system. I'll let some of it out, especially considering it is extremely hot here (95-100F) and that might be why it is higher. Hopefully, this fixes the problem. Thanks again.
@@thepowerofyourvoicepodcast no good idea to release it like that it’s harmful to the atmosphere
@@thepowerofyourvoicepodcast well it needs machine to do it proppery and it’s expencive so it’s best u take it to mechanic let them do it
WILL THIS ALSO PREVENT THE RADIATOR FANS FROM WORKING?
Not radiator but ac condenser fan will not activate with ac but it will still can be commanded for engine temp
@RBTheMechanic after washing my engine bay my clutch and radiator fan stopped working
@@octaviolozano6890 not suppose to water the u see hood components. U will have lot of issues
No bro they should still run fin.
2003 accord 117k miles same problem ac won’t work you think this is the problem o allready try to swap the relay it still don’t work
Put the ac on and see if both radiator fans come on also see if ac compressor engages. If both fans come on that’s a hint that system comes on either relay fuse or ac compressor
Would the compresor turn on if it dont have freeon or no
No it only works off pressure
In my accord ac doesn't work, but belt on compressor run all the time regardless ac switch is on or off. Is that as should be?
Dose the clutch engage on compressor and I want u to change out the relay regardless try that first and check Freon pressure and confirm if clutch engages?
@@RBTheMechanic how you concluding compressor engaged? In both cases your belt was running and for me no difference on the compressor
@@jazu40 the center of clutch on compressor will click and start to spit as u put ac on if it dosent then it’s not workin
@@RBTheMechanic compressor does not engage. There is freon in the system. I switched relays also. In the past shop guy told me that compressor need to be change but looks to me clutch is not working. 2hat you think?
@@jazu40 ok one more thing put the ac on and see if both radiator fans come on?
What happens if you replace the switch and it still not working ? What could be bad ?
Did u check basic stuff first fuse relay? Pressure? Power to compressor
@@RBTheMechanic Yes, only when I jump it the A/C clutch works
@@ldiegohl2028 ac get cold? Did u check fuse and swap relay
thanks man i was about to buy a ac compressor
Oh cool glad u found my video
What will happen if you jump it and leave it,use the ac like normal. What will happen?
Not good idea u will blow the systym with in minutes it wount even last this is for only test
@@RBTheMechanic thanks
I lose all the Freon I put in to see if it works now lose all of it buy more and replace it.
Can’t win…
@@Clarity5970 u have to trace the leak down and replace the leaking part
Damn man that was cool!! Thx
Yeah thanks
So why does the v6 have a 4 pin connection an 4 cylinder have 2 pin
It’s the year they made changes it can detect diffrent pressures
@@RBTheMechanic ima look further into it to ima unplug the ac compressor it self an see if it has power at the plug what if no power at the plug .....an what are the symptoms of a bad climate control pressure switch the one on the left of the condenser mine has 4 pin instead of 2 pin my car a v6
@@marshallrichardson8575 well the whole system will shut down but it could be anything control or pressure switch so start basic check fuses and power to compressor
Hey my 2005 Honda Accord w/ 150k miles be blowing snowballs and all of a sudden the ac just blows hot. It be on & off, got any tips on what the problem might be?
Start with checking basic
check fuse
Swap out relay
Check pressure
See if ac compressor engages
Relay can be the issues it will work here and there go off
I'm having SAME issue! Will be checking the relay
@@rcollins4958 it was my compressor that went out. When you hear a clicking noise that means the magnet is working. If u don’t hear a clicking when ur ac is on its most likely the air compressor
I do DoorDash for a living so I rely on my AC and it just stopped working this morning. I have a 2007 Honda Accord 2.4 4 cylinder It worked completely fine yesterday and blew ac fine. Now I went in to start driving and tried turning it on and the controls for the AC don’t do anything, I can’t press them but the AC does not turn on. 😓 I know almost nothing about cars to be honest or how to troubleshoot.
Check the fuse and relay swap it and see how it preform
I did swap it and nothing worked I replaced both relays in the engine bay and both 7.5 fuses the one in the engine bay and the inside one by the driver. I did a little research The compressor up front is activating and spinning. I don’t think it’s the high and low pressure thing because it’s not coming on on any setting. Not sure what else it could be.
@@cherrycola7341 if compressor comes on ac should be cold unless it dosent have from and got air pressure
@@RBTheMechanic the AC compressor comes on but the air does not come on in the cabin at all period.
@@RBTheMechanic If it was pressure related it would still work just not as much I’m assuming but in this case it doesn’t come on at all. So I’m thinking it might be the fan thing that’s underneath the glovebox but I’m not sure what to do there.
My car also like this no work ac ...I think compressor problem?
Check the basics Freon pressure and swap the relay and u can do power test on the ac compressor if it got power then it’s just bad compressor but do the relay and try it on first if it got pressure
Thank you thank you thank you!
Welcome
Gonna try this now!
It’s only to test to see if compressor comes on and remove it immediately
@RBTheMechanic did the relay test. Good! The switch test. Good! Now I'm guessing it is the compressor that's out.
@@jamesledesma did u check Freon pressure. U can jump the ac relay and test to see if compressor comes on and line get cold for 2-3 seconds only
My ac fans come on so does that mean i have pressure switch made car has 100psi with no ac running
No it depends 2 prom 3 or 4
@@RBTheMechanic I'm gonna get some fuses i dropped one somewhere around engine did swap relays around jumped pressure switch nothing . im suspecting no ground . I ohmed from ground to compressor wire nothing
Thanks

That does NOT WORK FOR THE V6 ACCORD! The plug at that location on the v6 models is a 4-pin connector and only controls the passenger-side engine cooling fan.
Yup it’s diffrent on b6
Did you ever figure it out
@@marshallrichardson8575 No, so I removed the relay and ran a 12v switched wire to that pin of the relay socket to force the a/c compressor on whenever I activate the a/c. It's an extra step, but it works
@@acgstereoman so at first yu didn't have no power going to the ac compressor plug going to the ac compressor it self
@@marshallrichardson8575 idk why there was no power. I bought the car in 2016 and replaced the compressor immediately. It was probably a little less than a year later that I had to run that extra wire.
Ac No. 1 No. 2 No. 3 Not Working No. 4 Working
Bad resistor
@@RBTheMechanic Can you please explain to me how to do that?
Explanation not consistent and step by step needed for someone with no knowledge
Ok will redue summer time
I jumped pressure switch as qell as compresser relay and my clutch still did not engage. What does this mean?
Prolly bad ac compressor check pressure and fuse after all use test light to see if power reaches the ac compressor that should confirm it
