In this video I create an abstract acrylic painting with geometric shapes. To make all the geometric shapes I use thin masking tape.

Love the textured ‘frame’ along the edge of the canvas. And each of the rectangles looks like a piece of stained glass. Really nice concept and execution!!

Merci John. Je ne commente pas souvent car ce n'est pas mon genre mais merci merci merci! Toutes tes vidéos m'aident énormément. J'ai eu une période difficile et je me suis mise à la peinture a cause de toi et ça m'a tellement aider. Maintenant je suis tes cours qui sont super, je progresse très vite avec tes cours et j'ai beaucoup de félicitations sur mes peintures. Je n'ai pas encore essayé de vendre mais j'ai eu quelques demandes ce que je trouve très motivant. En tout cas merci mille fois ❤️

I've been following your channel for some time now. Back to when put your own band on and ever painting was three or more canvases LOL but I can honestly say you are one of my favorite artist of all time.

Most of this piece reminds me of a Piet Mondrian painting. I like it a lot! The nod to those who came before us is always nice. I like the softness you’ve added with your color choices. Awesome work as usual!

I love this, so much! Reminds me of some of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture and furniture he made for the many buildings he created.
I love the music and moments of silence where we hear the paintbrush or the tape coming off as well. I find that peaceful too!

@@JohnBeckleyArt - Oh my! I would love to see you do a painting inspired by one of the stained glass windows or furniture. Fun fact for you - every home built today uses some of his elements or inventions to make them longer lasting or more sound.
I am an architectural fanatic, and had the joy of owning one of the homes that one of his students built. The work of his gives one plenty of inspiration to play off of.

It depends on the paintings. Between 1 hour and 4 hours.

Cool pattern created by the tape. Now I want tape that narrow. Also, that is a gorgeous stencil you have.
NICE John you always make your creation s interesting and colorful! Color therapy to the eye and mind establishes balance and order and building blocks of organization and dimentional and directional. Up down left right or right to left or focus inward and outward. So yes endless possibilities with what day mood you look at it. SMART! Love it! Sometimes you need some directivity!
