I don’t agree that Black Cauldron will come out as Disney had that one locked up in the vault until it had an Anniversary edition printed. Also, I would Also like to see Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
I really want more Alice in the Wonderland and Pinocchio cards, if I can be honest. There’s so much to be done with these two franchises. For black cauldron, I have a good feeling about it tbh. Don’t think it will take that long until it gets added to Lorcana. 🧐 Time will tell.
About the TARZAN copyrights thing... I am furious after Disney and Ravensburger for NOT crediting on Tresure Planet that it is the direct adaptabion of ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON "Treasure island" this is an original modern (late 1800) story, this is the FATHER of science-fiction and disney should be ashamed to credit songs like "Poor Unfortunate Souls" on cards and Piglet and Winie the ppoh, but NOT CREDITING legend R. L. Stevenson!!!
There's a very simple reason for this: Treasure Island is in the public domain, so it can be used without license or crediting. Winnie the Pooh is one of several IPs that Disney used under license, together with Tarzan and Peter Pan. And with these licenses, it's always a matter of individual contract details what can or cannot be done with the material. Apparently, the Winnie the Pooh contract requires individual crediting on every product, while the Peter Pan contract does not. As far as I remember, the Tarzan contract allowed no derivative works whatsoever (apart from advertising for the movie itself). This would probably prevent its appearance in Lorcana as well. However, the Tarzan IP is currently moving out of copyright. The first 7 books in the series are already public domain, while the rest remain protected. So there might come a time in the foreseeable future when the Tarzan material can be used without restrictions. Ironically, this also puts Tarzan in the same situation as Mickey Mouse, with the character himself still being copyrighted while a part of the stories is public domain.

I loved your Top 10 list! And when you mentioned them, I was even shocked at a few that they’re not already included! (Like Bambi & Dumbo) I’d LOVE for The Aristocats to enter the Lorcana world too! So many fun characters to do, not just the cats but also the geese and the mouse etc. I’d personally also would love to see Oliver & Co. get added. And I know they should do the Disney classics some justice first, but I really do hope Pixar titles will be added too eventually. 💕

I’m not very familiar with Brother Bear, but heard a similar comment from many fans. So I would imagine that sooner than later they will join the game as well 🤞
I’d love to see more TV shows get represented. We saw that Ravensburger aren’t afraid to include shows like TaleSpin and DuckTales (2017). So I could definitely see us getting shows like The Adventures of the Gummibears, Chip N Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Gargoyles, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, and Amphibia to name a few.
I said it before but I would love Nightmare Before Christmas cards or even a Halloween/Christmas subset around that time! The game isn’t even a year old so the options are endless for the future of the game! I’ll just sit and wait patiently for an Enchanted Jack Skellington card!

If I were bringing back Abandoned, Cancelled, Extinct and Unfinished Disney Project, I would Improve them all. I’ll even Promote Sequels and Prequels. I’ll even Bring back Cancelled Disney films Also. I’ll even Adapt AI posters into something new.
I kinda feel that having characters represented in Disney Lorcana is almost a little bit of that: another chance to put them in the spotlight, under a different interpretation and light.
Disney is doing the wrong choice with live action adaptations. I wish we could get a Fox and the Hound lll, Bambi lll, Lady and the Tramp lll, The Rescuers 3, Great Mouse Detective 2, Treasure Planet ll, and Oliver and Company 2. Those would be awesome sequel ideas, imo.
Great choices! Dumbo is the one I am waiting on the most. Dumbo could have ability that centers around moving back and forth between locations. Other than Dumbo, I want to see A Goofy Movie, and Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers. Big Hero Six would be cool!

Funny you say that, but we actually had “Oliver and Company” in our original script for this video. 😅 But then we replaced it by Big Hero 6 at the end of it. Mainly because we realized that many fans have been asking for big hero 6, and we were covering “a lot of animals” already with the other 9 franchises. 😄😄 But we love Oliver and hope it makes the cut as well! 🥳

I like the idea of Bambi cards more from a characters cast perspective, than the movie itself. But surely it will happen for this second year, right? I don't think they can get away with it.
We share a similar opinion about the timeline, to be honest. But, ALSO, if there's a moment to announce such a big move, I believe it would be in one of Disney Lorcana's anniversary. If not for year 2, perhaps we get it for year 3, where all 4 sets are Pixar-related? That would be epic!
I am hoping most for The Dark Cauldron, Dumbo, Duck Tales Magic Lamp movie (Scroog McDuck'S employee flagada jones the plane conductor too!!) Darkwing Duck !!! and RESCUE RANGERS! Make Mine Ravensburger! But I am so happy that my faves Robin hood, Little Mermaid, Bernard & Bianca (the Rescuers) and Basil Private Detective are already in the Lorcana meta!
We were definitely quite “spoiled” already by the game with some very amazing classics, such as the ones you mentioned. So I am trying to hold back and not complaint much. But I wish we could get all of these you said, and, especially, The hunchback of notre dame. I love that movie! 😭
I keep my Kingdom Hearts TCG cards in each boxes of decks I bought of Lorcana putting the Kingdom Hearts in view on the opening part where you see the case box normally while packaged. Hopefully Kingdom Hearts comes to Lorcana someday! I think Pocahontas being the contentious native autochton tribes of north america might get censored... it was before Mulan and more correct cultural representation of the native autochton tribes (what people call incorrectly :"american indians")
That’s such a cool idea. And we are big fans of Kingdom Hearts as well, but I have a feeling that it will take some good time before the IP joins the party. For Pocahontas, that’s the points we covered in this video. We also agree that it might be “too problematic” at the moment and not sure if Disney and RB are willing to “go there” just yet.
The lack of tangled animated adventure is unfortunate. Theres already tangled in the game but like 70% of the best part of Rapunzel and Eugene's story happens then
I never watched Rapunzel Tangled Adventure series, but seen some clips and absolutely love their art style. For me, as long as we get more Tangled cards, I am happy! XD
Let's not forget that Zootopia is so far severely under-represented. This movie has so many characters, locations and iconic events that could be turned into cards. But its current presence in the game only amounts to 5 cards in total. The same is true for Wreck it Ralf, only more so. That movie only has a single image on a pretty generic Action card I'd also love to see more TV series in future sets. Especially Gummy Bears, Gargoyles, Rescue Rangers & Kim Possible. Also, DuckTales and Tailspin still have a lot of material missing. And my candidate for the position of "least likely but still possible": Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Yes, that movie is completely owned by Disney. They acquired licenses for all the other studios' characters, but the movie itself is entirely their own.
Could not agree more! We love Zootopia (and your other examples), and we find very odd how little they are represented. Especially Zootopia with its full marketing and recent release as its own Land at Shanghai Disneyland. That makes me believe that we will see a lot more of it very soon. For "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", this is one of these films that might be hard to make the cut for sure. But also, there's a huge fans base - and it is still present at Disney parks - so who knows? Maybe eventually. Imagine if they do a full set about Disney Rides? Roger Rabbit could be one of the ones haha!
@InkbornHeroes - I would love to see more Zootopia Pinocchio, is also missing a ton more characters that could be brought in. Also Wreck It Ralph only has the one action card of Pick A Fight.
Hopefully Zootopia 2 will explore other worlds/metropolises beyond their own and we get way more species like birds, reptiles, aquatic animals, and even domesticated like dogs, cats, cows, pigs, and chickens.

Why no more then one in play? Locations are already under represented in most decks, why do you want to see them less? Uninkable locations would also be unplayable with that kind of rule.
@@Turtlewax88 I agree. I actually love the Locations mechanic, and would be a shame to limit them (in my opinion). But workarounds such as dedicated cards to destroy them all (Like a "Be Prepared" for locations), or simply by balancing with uninkable ones as you mentioned, would be great.
Wish has NO chance of being in Lorcana because it's nothing but an awful movie that flopped hard in theaters. The same can be said about Strange World, Home on the Range, and Chicken Little.

I wouldn't say that Wish has no chance at all. But it would indeed be a bad idea to include it right now. In a few years, when Moana 2 and Frozen 3 have been released, Wish will no longer be such a big topic. And eventually, the current outrage will be smothered by a blanket of nostalgia.

I truly believe so! And I think that when it happens, they will make a big deal out of it. For example, at the start of a new calendar year.

Personally, I think they're going to show up eventually, but not right now.
We share a similar opinion about the timeline, to be honest. But, ALSO, if there's a moment to announce such a big move, I believe it would be in one of Disney Lorcana's anniversary. If not for year 2, perhaps we get it for year 3, where all 4 sets are Pixar-related? That would be epic!

We were definitely quite “spoiled” already by the game with some very amazing classics, such as the ones you mentioned. So I am trying to hold back and not complaint much. But I wish we could get all of these you said, and, especially, The hunchback of notre dame. I love that movie! 😭
I keep my Kingdom Hearts TCG cards in each boxes of decks I bought of Lorcana putting the Kingdom Hearts in view on the opening part where you see the case box normally while packaged. Hopefully Kingdom Hearts comes to Lorcana someday! I think Pocahontas being the contentious native autochton tribes of north america might get censored... it was before Mulan and more correct cultural representation of the native autochton tribes (what people call incorrectly :"american indians")
That’s such a cool idea. And we are big fans of Kingdom Hearts as well, but I have a feeling that it will take some good time before the IP joins the party.
For Pocahontas, that’s the points we covered in this video. We also agree that it might be “too problematic” at the moment and not sure if Disney and RB are willing to “go there” just yet.
The lack of tangled animated adventure is unfortunate. Theres already tangled in the game but like 70% of the best part of Rapunzel and Eugene's story happens then
I never watched Rapunzel Tangled Adventure series, but seen some clips and absolutely love their art style. For me, as long as we get more Tangled cards, I am happy! XD
Let's not forget that Zootopia is so far severely under-represented.
This movie has so many characters, locations and iconic events that could be turned into cards. But its current presence in the game only amounts to 5 cards in total.
The same is true for Wreck it Ralf, only more so.
That movie only has a single image on a pretty generic Action card
I'd also love to see more TV series in future sets.
Especially Gummy Bears, Gargoyles, Rescue Rangers & Kim Possible.
Also, DuckTales and Tailspin still have a lot of material missing.

Yes, that movie is completely owned by Disney. They acquired licenses for all the other studios' characters, but the movie itself is entirely their own.
Could not agree more! We love Zootopia (and your other examples), and we find very odd how little they are represented.
Especially Zootopia with its full marketing and recent release as its own Land at Shanghai Disneyland. That makes me believe that we will see a lot more of it very soon.
For "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", this is one of these films that might be hard to make the cut for sure. But also, there's a huge fans base - and it is still present at Disney parks - so who knows? Maybe eventually. Imagine if they do a full set about Disney Rides? Roger Rabbit could be one of the ones haha!

Pinocchio, is also missing a ton more characters that could be brought in.
Also Wreck It Ralph only has the one action card of Pick A Fight.
Hopefully Zootopia 2 will explore other worlds/metropolises beyond their own and we get way more species like birds, reptiles, aquatic animals, and even domesticated like dogs, cats, cows, pigs, and chickens.

Whatever happens in Zootopia 2, it will be several more years before any of it makes its way into Lorcana.

That would be completely boring and pointless. The movie’s releasing next November, so idk how long that would take for that to make it into the lorcana.

I think it’s only a matter of time. But maybe once locations become a bit stronger.
Why no more then one in play? Locations are already under represented in most decks, why do you want to see them less? Uninkable locations would also be unplayable with that kind of rule.
@@Turtlewax88 I agree. I actually love the Locations mechanic, and would be a shame to limit them (in my opinion). But workarounds such as dedicated cards to destroy them all (Like a "Be Prepared" for locations), or simply by balancing with uninkable ones as you mentioned, would be great.

Wish has NO chance of being in Lorcana because it's nothing but an awful movie that flopped hard in theaters. The same can be said about Strange World, Home on the Range, and Chicken Little.

I wouldn't say that Wish has no chance at all. But it would indeed be a bad idea to include it right now.
In a few years, when Moana 2 and Frozen 3 have been released, Wish will no longer be such a big topic.
And eventually, the current outrage will be smothered by a blanket of nostalgia.

I actually don’t agree with this statement. The racists ARE the people that don’t see this as problematic, hence why they are racist: because they are ok with how some of these films represented the marginalized people. 🤷🏻♂️
With Pocahontas, perhaps you should give it a read about her story: everything is “wrong” about how she was treated in real life. And then the Disney version of it just completely tries to whitewash history. And please, don’t get me wrong: I love Disney’s Pocahontas and can’t wait to see it in Disney Lorcana (if that happens one day). But I am also understanding enough to acknowledge how bad this whole thing can be seen.

You do realize that the “problematic” of Pocahontas isn’t her race, right? As said in the previous comment, I would suggest you reading more about the origin of Pocahontas before sharing comments like this.
The “issue” with celebrating such story in a happy ending fantastical way, is that there was NOTHING “happy” in her real story. Instead, she was a minor that was kidnapped, rapped, abused and forced to leave her tribe to move to Europe, to then suffer more abuse and be allegedly murdered by those who were suppose to keep her safe. If YOU don’t think that this problematic, then I have nothing to say to you, other than “nobody here cares if you disagree with his comment” 🤷🏻♂️
