I was in customer service from the age of 16 to 41. I worked for a bank for over 14 years, then decided to follow my dreams. I became a truck driver at 41. I absolutely love it. Facilities can be rubbish for women (not sure if that's just a UK problem, but other truck drivers are great. So I definitely know how daunting it can be to change careers, so well done. Especially when you have a tiny human who depends on you. You are doing great!

I did a big career shift in my late 20s as well. I went to college knowing exactly what I wanted to do when I was done. Got the exact job before I had my degree and worked in that field for about seven years. I was getting seriously burnt out, so when the opportunity arose to shift career paths, it just made sense. I'm now much happier with the work I'm doing and it fits better with the other life changes that have happened for me in the last several years. I remember realizing that I didn't want to do my dream job anymore and what a strange feeling that was. It's definitely scary to be staring down the barrel of bug change, but it feels worth it on the other side.

Definitely do whichever works best for you but I personally like the two tier idea! I think it's good to have that lower tier that will reduce the price barrier so open it up to more people, and because it's lower and the expectations will be clearly set for what members get in that tier it can be a nice thing to keep going that doesn't put extra content pressure on you, and you know it's there if you ever need to stop the higher tier for a while.
I'd probably join the higher tier if finances allow, but if not I'd definitely stay in the lower one to support your content even without the extra stuff, as I think £1.99 is a good price point for just supporting a TH-camr whose normal/free videos you watch a lot.

I'm 32 and have 3 children and only now have I realised what I want to do for a carer! However its not going to be easy to get there with 3 young children, already working and a husband who works shifts!!! Typical isn't it!!!

I always find the differences with toddlers fascinating. My daughter is 19 months and she said her first word very early on (I can't remember when exactly but way before her first birthday) and she started putting two to three words together about a month ago and can count to 10 (can't actually count properly but has memorised the words in order) However, she's not comfortable walking yet and still needs our hands for support a lot of the time as very wobbly on her own, and is definitely nowhere near the climbing stage. Toddlers are so fascinating at the different things they grasp at different times.

I never really had a 5 year, 10 year plan etc..
Definitely thought I would get married and have kids.. But more than that I didn't even think about.
And I have the child now, the same as you which I'm very happy with.
I didn't have accounting at school, never thought I would go into finance.. Now I'm almost 34 and I'm a Bookkeeper.. And I think I'm pretty good at it.
I did my first bookkeeping/accounting course in 2017. I wouldn't mind to do this until I retire, as long as my salary keeps increasing as everything else increases..
My son just turned 2 in the beginning of this month and now he's got new words daily. It's amazing! I've heard they have a word explosion around 2 years old.

I totally get what you’re saying about job hunting. So many places say they’re hiring but their automated systems cut the applicants down so much they don’t even see qualified candidates and struggle to fill the roles. I want to shake the hiring managers like “STOP THAT! Look at them yourself!!!”
And on top of that entry level no longer means entry level! I look at listings and in the description they say actually you need five years experience and a specialized degree. I wish they would be upfront so I can filter things easier myself.

A large sample means you are more likely to have good statistical power and, in turn, this means you can be confident generalizing to the population. Statistical significance can be achieved with even small samples, especially when effects are large.

    • @MissNoechen
      @MissNoechen 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

However, a larger sample all from within her channel following will likely still not be representative of the larger population and hence, generalisations should only be done after really careful consideration

You might have better luck looking into policy research/ analysis entry level positions ( in local govt or NGOs), your experience in womens health, public communication and data analytics could be packaged nicely

Go through recruiters, they act as a cover letter, they speed up the process a lot and as a non graduate they may be able to put you forward for graduate roles by talking directly with hiring teams for you 😊

Have you thought about doing some courses in reproductive/sexual health and menstruation, or indeed working for a charity which seeks to educate people (particularly those of a younger age) about these topics? Xx

It will be interesting to see how useful you find the course in the job you end up with - of course that’s a bit of a long term query

I'd be interested to know exactly which course you did and how you choose it and knew it was legitimate. I've seen a lot of courses advertised through Facebook and probably not all of them are legit so I feel hesitant to trust any of them. Was this one government funded and if not how much did it cost

I work in the market research industry, so see a lot of data analytics roles! Apprenticeship degree roles are out there in data analytics, or try government jobs, ONS etc.

I'm almost exactly the same age as you and I'm also doing a career change. I was a care worker for several years and I thought that nursing would be the path for me. Then I got ill and I had to leave that career because it's just not possible to do it any more.
I've decided to go to university and study English Lit. I love books. I love reading and I love analysing text. I think I've given enough of my life and health to other people, so now it's my time to do something for me.
I know absolutely nothing about data analytics or jobs around that area. Something that might be an option for you in the short to medium term is working as a teaching assistant. You have your experience in foster care and schools are crying out for TAs. It's just a thought I had.
Another option that might suit you is public health.

    Just an add on….
You could zoom with your viewers so you could speak to them face to face all while enjoying your coffee!
    You’ve earned it girlfriend!
It’s time to value yourself and stop nickel and dimming yourself…. You’re worth it!!!
    It’s time to think bigger.
    You are loved and valued.
Let people have the opportunity to tell you themselves!!!
I hope you will at least consider a test run month to see how it does.
Just build up to it for a few videos so your viewers know to look for your Blog and book time with you.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well it flies!!!!!
    😉👌☺️

Lots of jobs are advertised as or equivalent to a degree, worth asking if they accept relevant experience instead. Also you might be interested in clinical coding - nhs posts which are hard to recruit to, can be done from home in a lot of cases and often attract an RRP.

So I am currently not in a situation to financially support but I want to know more about supporting you through ads. Obviously i dont use an ad blocker but does skipping the ads mean you get paid less? Like are you paid per ad that is played or per time of ads watched? I know it probably makes a tiny impact for you but this is what I can do so I want to make it as impactful as I can for you.

I just wanted to say, if it financially makes sense, patreon is my preferred platform for paying for extra or early content! I would absolutely pay for a patreon membership $5 or lower, especially with the addition of more menstrual/reproductive health content!

Yet, if the employer sets up the requirements as a need to have a degree... there's a reason for this and it should be respected imo. I'm not saying everyone needs to have a degree, but if they choose to work in certain fields they may need one to do so.

I like the idea of keeping it the same for the current members and then charging $3.99 for new
members. I don’t like the idea of taking content away from current members or increasing their rate. I feel like they joined with certain expectations.

Come to Germany- we desperately need people who want to work. Loads of jobs but not enough people for all the jobs
