Firework crossbows are actually very powerful, but you need to craft them with 7 gunpowders for the firework star. The more gunpowder you add to the firework star, the more damage it will do. Also it penetrates armor which is why it’s so useful

The one problem with these series, is when someone is out, they don't make any more videos. If the people I watch don't make it to the finale, it takes a while to learn who won. To fix that,, I am imagining a scenario like Stardust where the ghosts of departed members can still interact and joke with each other... and maybe have goals they can perform to earn the right to mess with the living world a bit.
Definitely, maybe something along the lines of the séance Grian and Joel did last episode.

Please season 3! I will say I enjoyed the "role-play" aspect that kind of naturally happened in 3rd Life more than Last Life and I would love to see that again, but I know it's hard when forced and either way it was great! Thanks for all the fun times!😁

-Thunder and fireworks explosion for when ever someone dies, not just the last life. It it deserves to be a spectacle!
-Maybe no enchantment table at all? Or maybe make it unbreakable/doesn’t drop when broken?
-Boogieman was a FANTASTIC addition. Maybe let red names get to be the boogieman, and if they succeed, they get a life back (immediately).

I also suggest reds don't break all alliances. Last season the final battle meant something because the alliances formed over the entire series. This season none of the poriginal alliances survived because of the red curse... the final battle would have been so much better if it had been B.E.S.T vs Southlands vs Shadow vs Magical Mountain rather than Reds vs yellows

Joel was a true mvp. Got red so early on and stayed until the very end getting a ton of kills. He deserved that victory but NOPE Scott’s team was being too annoying pulling off a very unfair 2v5

Third season for sure, would absolutely love that, if we could allow there to be more events In series or allow the spectators to impact after death? For example like maybe shrink the border after each person dies entirely, or maybe even allow complete revival if you can get a totem of undying.
Just had to share something freaky that happened at the end of the video for me. My Bluetooth earbuds, which say "Goodbye" when they run out of battery life or get turned off, just so happened to die at the exact second when Grian said the same. So instead of hearing him sign off on the episode, my earbuds cut him off.

@@TillBarkley Because scheduling is a pain since they all record sessions at once, with everyone in different timezones and having their own lives with surprise events (like Scar's hospitalization meaning he missed a session), and Hermitcraft lets them record whenever they want, so it's more flexible.

You are so right! I REALLY want a season 3. The hermitcraft server honestly can get boring because its just building and diamonds. This whole thing is just so interesting to keep up with because everything that happens feels like it has a real reason (and not just increasing your diamond count). And when new alliances and betrails happen they feel so real and not just like some playful chatting (like what happens on the hermitcraft server). This ACTUALLY (and I mean ACTUALLY) has been my favourite series ever for me on youtube and I would really love to see what crazy and interesting rules and additions (like the boogyman in season 2) you could add to season 3. I am sure that you would make it more interesting than both seasons before it season.
Honestly I'd love a season three. This and Third Life have been for me the best Minecraft series on TH-cam right behind Hermitcraft, they're so entertaining :)

A good idea for season 3:
Red names and the boogeyman are still the only ones who kill, however instead of lives being lost completely upon PvP deaths, they are instead transferred to the player that killed them. So as a red name, if you were to kill a player you gain that life you took and consequently become a yellow name, discluding you from starting further combat. With the boogeyman, instead of becoming immediately cured of their murderous urges, they are given a certain amount of time to kill as many people as they can and thus gain that many lives. If they kill nobody they still become a red name.
The problem with that idea is that it makes the game artificially much longer. In the end, instead of having all members having 1-2 lives, you'd have much more chances to have few members but with a lot of lives. It creates a stalemate situation that is really bad for the tension.
So I'd say no, bad idea.

I don’t know if you’re gonna see this, but I have a suggestion for a mechanic for season 3: instead of having a bogeyman, you have a player who is ‘blessed’. Blessed players will become immune to all damage, except from players. If a blessed player is killed, the killer gets all of their lives restored to their original value. Hope you see this!

The lives as currency was a good addition, season 3 could have something like ramdomly assigned teammates, and as long as one of you still has a life, the other can respawn. Idk, the dinamic of reds working with the others was missing. Whatever you decide, it'll be just as much fun as this one!

I was thinking almost this same thing! Everyone automatically splits into teams of sorts, and I missed the loyalty they had for each other in 3rd Life. So, maybe a team could win?

Of all the SMPs I’ve watched, this is easily my favourite. A season 3 would be amazing
Season 1 was amazing, and Season 2 completely exceeded my expectations, so I think I can agree on mostly everyone’s behalf that I would love a Season 3. Personally tho I don’t think that every season needs a change but at the same time it’s good to keep everything fresh.
The reason the rockets didnt do a lot of damage, is because you need to stack firework stars. If I’m not mistaken, the more firework stars in a rocket, the more damage they deal.
You're right I came here to say this. The more firework stars the more damage, but reduced range. You can get close to an instakill with maximum firework stars

They had the right idea, just wrong/limited knowledge of it.
if you watch joel’s perspective, they actually maxed out the firework stars when they were crafting them. so they knew how to do it, it just genuinely isn’t as powerful as they’d hoped.
Shields also completely negate fireworks.

The most popular style of smp is a lore smp. This needs two things--- allienses and war. To make the smp MUCH better, you can add a swist. My favourite twist is something that slowly turnes the server into madness and kills everyone until only one player is standing. Now, the last thing that makes an smp golden in my opinion is being being family frendly and having an old youtube vibe (like the hermitcraft server and popularmmos)
Anyways, third ife and last life had all of these. WHICH IS SO AWSOME!!!! It is literally the PERFECT minecraft smp for me and I would do anything to see a third season! No other minecraft smp has ever ticked all the boxes in the history of servers and I will watch and love every season that comes!

I think one of the rules should be that the last person standing gets to kill themself. Smajor barely had time to breath before he was killed by admin powers and he clearly was planning "one last thing to do". He earned the moment and was denied. Other than that, good game. Looking forward to next season.

Obviously everyone wants a season 3. I feel like part of what worked so well in season 1 was the storylines lasting throughout the season. The bogey led to really interesting dynamic scenarios but also broke up a lot of those longer-term alliances in ways that didn't work as well for me. That being said, I think the bogey mechanic added so much interesting drama every episode I would recommend keeping something like it in season 3. Someone said something about achievements, and I like that because the tasks mechanic in Among Us is a big part of why the game design works so well, so having randomly generated goals with team rewards for achieving them is a good idea. I agree with the comment that said having a village on the map was a bit OP in season 1, but I was a bit disappointed by how little terrain variation season 2 had compared to season 1 - maybe generate a map with smaller biomes so there's more variety in terms of how terrain affects gameplay? I'd love to see Season 3 have like, jungle and mesa biomes in it for example - the jungle in particular would lend to interesting combat opportunities, though fires would be nuts.
In season 3 players could be able to absorb the life of the one they killed.
That way the red lifes would always just kill once to save themself, the green player who would kill the most red players would gain advantage over others and the number of lifes in circulation could stay consistent for a longer time (as long as you don't die an enviromental death, in which case the life would be lost forever)
Edit: traps could still be made but you get the life just from direct PvP kill
I hope Grian sees this, it would be such a neat concept/twist to add!
That sounds like a good idea. Maybe it would need some balancing though, because I can see it going for like 25 episodes of stealing lives back and forth before Scar loses enough of them in falls for the game to finish. Maybe there should be a more unforgiving terrain, amplified or something, maybe more Withers, maybe the Warden(s) if 1.19 has come out by the time season 3 starts. The other addition I would make is Iskall if he wants to, to complete the Sahara team. Not to mention he is a great PVPer and a great character to be around in general. I think this game would fit him very well.

Suggestions:
If you randomize lives again add a buff for the people who started at 2 and a debuff for people who started at 5 or 6 in season 2.
Instead of a boogeyman each session spawns a number of totems of undying equal to the number of green or green/yellow players minus one or two. If you don't have a totem at the end of a session you lose a life. Totems go away at the end of every session. The could spawn at random or known locations or a mixture of both. Thanks for the season, I love how it goes from cautious harmony to polite murder.
He’s a cool twist for a third season. Everyone is put into groups of 3-5 whatever works best. And the group shares a pool of lives.
Ooh i think people should be allowed to choose their team - so you can choose to be bonded and then your lives will be pooled. If any team has more members than lives then they will have maybe 10 minutes to cut down their members or randomly die (could be either the whole team dies or the lives get randomly given to one team member or randomly distributed). You could balance it such that every bonding transaction (so to bond or to leave) costs a life.

Yep. Really a very strong concept; not over-long of a series and with good break between seasons to keep it fresh when it does comes back. I don't think it needs huge variety in game features every season... the underlying premise by itself is sufficient to make for snappy episodes and makes it more a play of personalities than mechanics (naturally, if the players like the variety... great). Anyway, hope they do another season at some point.

Definitely need a season 3. Should be a reoccurring series/event. Similar to MCC.
Seasons last (roughly) 2-3 months, take a few months off, start a new season, new participants, old participants, new mechanics, old mechanics.
The 3rd/last life series is, by far, my favorite Minecraft series, everyone playing at the same time means tons of interaction, and there isn't a HUGE backlog of episodes to watch.
ex: I watched all of Hermitcraft season 6, season 7 started and I was still a bit burnt out, I try to drop back in at like episode 30 and was VERY lost, so I just skipped the whole season...which was, apparently, one of the best seasons yet. =(

Grian i assure you, EVERYONE wants a Season 3. This is one of the best and most creative Minecraft SMPs in the world. The amount of chaos that ensues and all the while somehow creating a sort of plot to it is absolutely brilliant. We would all love to see it continue.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! I watched both Last Life and Third Life and not only did I enjoy both immensely, but I also found so many great new YTbers! Thanks, Grian! Everyone on this server is such a gem. XD And watching from everyone's perspectives is so funny. Literally am going through everyone's videos now and am having a ball even if some content overlaps. This has me wishing I had a server and more friends into Minecraft so that I can run wild like this. Can't wait to see more!

Very excited for Season 3, where fractions of lives can be used to upgrade a skill tree, lives have a 5% chance of disappearing when traded, all players are randomly life-linked to each other every episode, and dead players can possess living players for 10 seconds each episode, coming back to life if they get a kill!

@@noahs7293 I still think he was too harsh as a yellow, someone sets one trap for him and he just battles them. Seemed like a stretch of the rules.
@@lachlanokeefe8020 Even as a dark green, if someone tries to trap you or they attack you then you're fully within the rules if you kill them
@@auberginemanproductions1608 I seem to remember the initial rules being that you can defend yourself while being attacked but you cannot go after a red simply because they tried to kill you earlier. They didn't fully follow through with that, though. (Also, I might be misremembering, just thinking out loud.^^")
@@o_p0tterhead Never did they try and kill unless provoked in that instance. Plus, even if they did, rules were out the window by the last couple episodes of Third Life too

I think why because he was being mean to pillagers talking about the woodland mansion and not saying sorry.
The most popular style of smp is a lore smp. This needs two things--- allienses and war. To make the smp MUCH better, you can add a swist. My favourite twist is something that slowly turnes the server into madness and kills everyone until only one player is standing. Now, the last thing that makes an smp golden in my opinion is being being family frendly and having an old youtube vibe (like the hermitcraft server and popularmmos)
Anyways, third ife and last life had all of these. WHICH IS SO AWSOME!!!! It is literally the PERFECT minecraft smp for me and I would do anything to see a third season! No other minecraft smp has ever ticked all the boxes in the history of servers and I will watch and love every season that comes!
