For me this is the best wing review I've seen. Plenty of info on both wings. Very good glider control on the ground .i to Need to kite far more. Excellent.thumbs up. 👌👍
@@MitchG I’m in southwest Tennessee now. Spent 8 yrs at Ft Riley all together. Had lots of friends there but now they’re all dead. Lived in the WWII Barracks at camp Forsyth and was the first to move to the new brick barracks on Custer Hill. Those have been torn down too. Guess I’m getting old but as soon as I’m recovered from heart surgery I’ll be flying again.
@MKHNitro I think they are both great. Both have similar top speeds. Both have 2d steering. The viper does have the option of PK risers if you prefer speedbar over trimmers. The hadrons risers are less complicated. The hadron has a faster roll rate. You can't go wrong with either one so pick the one you really desire.
Thanks for the reviews, still looking for that next pg/ppg wing. I am yet to fly an Ozone. Got a BGD Epic 2 motor demo currently. I have a couple thoughts to bounce off you. - Feels like it loses some roll stability when the trims go out. Pretty typical of non-A wings? - Also feels like it's "side slipping" to the right when I initiate a left turn at cruise power. Normal engine torque/wing deformation is certainly a factor. Maybe I'm just getting used to a new wing but it is an odd sensation.
@wardified8566 sounds like just the torque compensation of your motor making it turn a little different left vs right. As for roll stability with trims out, every wing is different. Some get more roll stable and some get less. Id bet the epic 2 would get less stable because it's a free flight wing designed more towards efficiency and safety than hands off stability
@@MitchG freeflight is pretty good. Liked the pressure and response on the brakes. It does give feedback on that roll though seemed nice in finding those thermal edges. th-cam.com/users/shortsEUY89WHNaCU?si=M1SUMlyG-veYoLxK
Hey just a heads up the viper XC does utilize full speed with the PK system its just appears that way on the ground because the there is no load on the lines.
Hey Mitch, i fly heavily loaded on a freeride2 21m at 6800ft, roughly 150kg all up. Love the wing and performance but my climb is... well not great. Would rather not sacrifice much roll and speed, but I'd like a little more climb/efficiency. Thoughts on something like a 22m snake 4 or 22m viper 6? You think i'd notice much difference?
@direfrost9879 only going up 1m, I don't think you would notice much difference. I couldn't tell the difference between the 19m freeride and 20m viper. Do you ever use top speed on your gliders? If not, then I'd say go up to a 24m viper or warp. Then you could use the full speed range to maintain the speed you fly at but benefit from better climb and slower takeoff and landing. ✌️
@MitchG Thanks for the advice, yeah I've heard people say the viper is noticeably more efficient at the same wing size, but I've had my doubts. I'm almost always on a mini trike so takeoff and landing characteristics and speedbar don't matter to me a whole lot. Tough decision on what to get, if it rolls less i know i'll just choose the freeride and suffer... I've also wanted a snake for a while which doesn't help 🤣
@direfrost9879 if you don't use speedbar, if get something with more speed In the trims like a snake, hadron, warp. They also will roll as fast as the freeride! Let me know if you are looking for a new wing! I'm a dealer for all brands

Mitch, this wing(s) review was so informative! You pretty much answer every question I could want to ask. Thank you for the work!

Fresh cup of coffee, say down in the office on this rainy day, Hi Mitch!
@@RwP223 hi! Thanks for watching
What’s up Mitch!! First year I don’t go to EFD and you go. Haha glad to see your back from Korea and look forward to more paramotor vids.
@MrWickwire27 thank you! See you next year I hope!
Nicely done Sir!
Looking good, Mitch!

Mitch - I would love your comparison views between the Viper XC and the Hadron3

Only powered flight so far, watching my local sights for the pg day and impressions.

@@MitchG Right on buddy, thanks for input! It does have an impressive range in the trims for speed.
