Hi Will. Congrats on the early retirement! Vancouver Island is a great place to start your retirement in, and it sounds exciting. Lunch would have been great, but we are now in Montreal for the summer and then not sure where we're heading after that. I'm late to the party, but this was another fantastic video! Both Victoria and Vancouver are my favorite places in North America. Did you get to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver and try to walk across it? I did and have the certificate to prove it!

Hi Kathy! We took advantage of a sale that Fairmont had during the pandemic, that was buy one night and get one night free. We also always ask for an upgrade at the time we are checking in, and were able to get a bigger room. Also, we are Accor members, and that can sometimes help to get upgrades. Hope this helps. Just found this about the filming of the Suite Life:
Similar to shows like Friends, Suite Life was a sitcom filmed mostly in Hollywood on studio sets, but the exterior shots of the front of the building were filmed on location. These shots are in Boston at the Fairmont Copley Plaza and of the Vancouver Hotel, which stands in for the Tipton.

Hi I have a questions cause I also want to travel from Victoria to Vancouver. I thought that you travel to Vancouver only for "essential reasons" which don't include going to Vancouver for fun. I don't want to say you did something wrong but I am just wondering why you could travel their and I am not allowed :/ thanks for your Video anyway :)
