Thanks! I really can’t wait to go on the trip :) I’m super excited to share it as well. And hehe the worst part is when you start gaining speed and the strap hits the sides of your helmet… it leaves nasty scratches.
I’m a photographer and a sissy bar and straps are the answer to your backpack problem. Been flying my drone a bit more lately too. Wrightwood is just a mini Big Bear. Less snow in the winter and smaller ski resort. Been there plenty of times to snowboard but I haven’t taken my motorcycle up there yet. The ride on the 10 or 210 is definitely boring. Lol. Nice vid!
Thanks! I only have a few more days with the bike. We’ll see what Indian lets me play with next hehe. I have yet to see the snow in Wrightwood. Maybe I'll see it there this year! And yes the ride there was boooring 😅
My first ride of 2025 was from Glendora to Hemet. I met up with other riders from. FB meet up . We rode to Idyllwild towards Banning, back up to Idyllwild, lunch and then back home. Good job on the video .
Sweet! I bet that was fun. Did you know any of the people you rode with? Idyllwild is one of my favorite places around LA. I’ve been wanting to go to Glendora myself, the road was closed last time I tried to go, but a little bird told me it’s open now, so I’ll try again :)
Happy new year friend!! great video, awesome ride! I rode december 30th and 31st but then snow....... so now I'm gonna wait a little. As for you wearing that jacket, you can wear whatever you want! and it fits the Blue theme of the bike so well too :)
Thank you! I’m really trying to get better at making videos. I was slightly disappointed with the quality of this one. I decided to upload it in 1080 instead of 4k - lesson learned. I’m glad you enjoyed it though :)
I just came across your channel. What an awesome ride. Wrightwood is an awesome alpine town and only an hour from the LA/Orange area. I live out of state and have been considering a getaway home in the orange area, to feed my Disneyland addiction, and to be able to ride year round. Even with some snow I think that town would offer riding most of the year. I'll have to check out real estate there. Thank you so much for sharing your ride and visit there!
Welcome! I had never been to Wrightwood before, it was fun! Orange County is pretty :) I think living in socal is worth every penny and tax we pay, especially because we get to ride year round like you mentioned hehe. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the video :) I will definitely share more in the following weeks. Ride safe!
🎉 Happiest of New Years to you Ana. I can smell the pine! 🌲 Thank you for being so genuine 😊. Your content is getting better all the time. Thank you 🙏 for sharing your love 💗 of cycling and all these lovely locations.
Thank you! I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the channel and the new videos. It makes all the effort worth it. 🙂 Next time I will upload it on 4k, I made the mistake of doing 1080 and the quality went down significantly, especially in the Wrightwood scenes :(

Hi! Ran into your channel! I'm out in San Diego/Carlsbad and I ride too. I'll start posting videos soon, just waiting for my insta360 setup on my bike! Awesome content.
Get a sissy bar and then you can strap your backpack to it on the rear seat. There are some very cool looking removable Sissy bars so you don't have to worry about compromising on style. Trust me it will save your back and make your longer trips more enjoyable. Leave that backpack on your back thing for the sportbike riders.
Next time Indian loans me a bike with no sissy bar, I’ll look into the removable sissy bars. It’s been challenging, but can’t complain too much when I get the chance to play with brand new models. We’ll see if Indian lets me play with their Super Chief in February 😈
Ha! Nice! You need to get that bag off your back my friend. Im sure you will find your setup (maybe a sissy bar). BTW scouts are bullet proof I know by experience. 🏍️💨
I known! But the bike is not mine 😅 it’s a loan, so I can’t modify it unfortunately. Hopefully the next bike Indian lets me borrow has at least some saddlebags hehe
You and the bike are an awesome combination but help yourself help you and mount your backpack to a sissybar. You'll enjoy your ride and media production so much more. I put quick release panniers from Viking Bags on my Street Bob and absolutely LOVE them. I enjoy your videos!👍
Thank you! It means a lot that you enjoy the video. I’m actually returning this bike at the end of the month. It’s a loan from Indian. We’ll see if I get one with a sissy bar or at least some saddlebags; who knows! They might not even let me play with more hehe
HNY! A great practice vid. Maybe have some notes to prompt what you want to observe and talk about? A running commentary of what you are looking at as you ride, is good practice to improve your riding/observation skills? Also, for safety, paniers are better than back packs which can make you tumble badly in a fall. I think I saw your tripod in the backpack too, which as a MC instructor I would not recommend... a bit like I recommend NOT wearing a chain lock! Look forward to the next one... I have subscribed. :o)
@@thatmotogal 😄, for the position of the handlebar, try a scout bobber if you have the opportunity, it will give you an idea. After the position is perhaps less comfortable on long distance
@@thatmotogal will do. I have a heated jacket and was driving the bike all year around but started being a normal person 😂 and storing my bike in the winter and watching TH-camrs ride from the comfort of my lazy boy.

I own a Harley that I’m selling to buy an adventure bike. Some motorcycle companies, like Indian in this case, loan me bikes for months at a time to ride them around the city, play with them, and give honest feedback about them :) I’m very fortunate.
I agree! Perfect excuse to explore small towns around the area. I like the Scout, but I miss the Chief. I love that this Scout has cruise control and Sport mode though. Indian is really showing off with their new lineups.
FAIL!! 😂 I’ve definitely forgotten to put an SD card in my drone as well. 🤦🏻♂️ Great job otherwise. You’ll be ready to fully capture your Route 66 trip in no time! Keep it up Ana!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
if you ever want help with learning how to pilot your drone, hit me up.. i just purchased my child hood dream bike, 2001 gsxr 750 and been riding down by the beach and love it, the air is just different .. i live up in big bear and its a little to chilly to ride. GOD is good!
Thanks for the offer, big bear is not far at all :) Congratulations on your new bike 🤘🏽🏍️ and yes, despite the fires happening right now, SoCal is amazing!
