According to Hitler he said that he was told at the art school that he would be better suited to architecture and began visiting the Vienna parliament building to practice drawing the architecture that was similar to the London parliament. He said that during his daily visits he became interested in the politics and politicians.

"painted for Adele's father." It was rather her husband who commissioned the work, and who later had it stolen from him. Not her father.

His art wasn't that bad, i wonder if he could have gone to another school in a different city or country and if with that we could have skipped that horrible war.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't.... It had no personality. It showed a complete lack of substance. It was stuff you'd see in a hotel room.
      Just basic

It wasn’t great for art. It was good for architecture. Sure, nowadays it’s considered pretty good. But, you have to realize how saturated the Art market and profession was as a whole in the early 20th and late 19th Century were. It would be likened today with how many ppl want to be Music Artists or Dj’s playing the same style of EDM in every other Artist. He was considered sub-par. There were way too many other more talented artists at the time.

@@thebirdbrandone could argue that you're supposed to be good on your way *out* of an academy tho, right ? 😉

Yes, it's sad that this battle is still going on and in some cases is unlikely to be resolved at all.

Yes, strangely his views on animal rights was actually quite progressive too, he introduced a lot of laws regarding animals and their treatment.

Good video. Still, one little thing: Johannes Vermeer was Dutch, not German, as is said at 14:14. At 18:01, it is said correctly, though...
