Adjustments can be made after finalizing the board. PR2 adjusts the frequency, which should be at 100hz. This frequency can be increased, more care will heat up the coil oscillator transistor
I understand you are referring to an open trail so as not to form a kind of faraday cage. I also asked myself the same question, I did tests connecting this trail and there is no difference in operation.
