I found your video because i'm considering buying this panel. Thanks to you i ordered 2 of them from Amazon . I just need to make a small correction, those yellow connectors are called XT60 not andersons . Keep the vids coming.
Yes, indeed. I'll have to buy longer cables since I'm guessing I will want to have the panels further away from my rig sometimes. There's a lot to learn about solar and all the different connectors. Thank goodness for the internet. Lol. Thanks for stopping by, Dee. I hope you're doing well. 🙂
Thank you for the 411 wasnt sure were to input the solar cord to charge phone I was plugging it into the battery symbol. Love the dokio worked way better than others I returned and gave the dokio a try and it charged my generator quickly
thanks for posting this. i know im a year behind .lol. ive had my panels a couple of months now and am still experimenting. theyve turned me into a total solar nerd. haha. Did not know that they would work folded like that and i did not know about the cable pass thru pocket.
Another person I know that bought one of these experienced the same thing, except his was missing the package of cables. Apparently that wasn't taped down well enough and fell out of the box, or they simply forgot to include them.
Do three panels give more wattage then two panels. Hope so because that would make it flexible, but as it won't work with one I worry about that. 4:23 + 6:36 the yellow connectors are called xt60, not Anderson. Other then that, I like these calm realistic videos that are realisticly trying to use things instead of trying to break it and/or sell it.
Thank you. I realized later on that they are called xt60. I can only presume that you would get more wattage with more panels exposed. It would be nice to have some actual test equipment instead of relying on the Apex display. Lol.
i wish the red color wasnt there. i dont want attention being drawn to my panels any more than needed. i have seen that ec8 connector before, i assumed it was proprietary, good to know i was wrong.
The ec8 connectors are just rarely used. Idk why the wattage number on the box doesn't match the product description at Amazon (to address what you wrote before editing your comment). I'm not a fan of the red color, either, but it will have to do. I couldn't find any other folding panel with this much wattage.
in the instructions it said: first plug in the battery, then plug in the panels......yet on the face of the controller, it says you can use the usb ports without a battery? every video and set of instructions i have read for any solar charge controller has indicated the charge controller needs to be connected to the battery first to turn on its voltage regulator, or something like that, then plug in the panels. i am new to solar, so i am just trying to learn
The instructions don't match the video they put on the Amazon listing, for one thing. Idk why they did that but it's surely confusing. Lol. You can charge a phone on the included controller as long as the panel is in the sunlight and it will charge up directly without any battery involved. That's not why I bought the panel but the feature is still there. I won't even be using the solar controller that came with the Dokio since my Apex already contains one inside of it. If you don't have a power station then you would hook up the included controller to your battery of choice.
My controller turns off display when the phone is connected without battery. When you Unplug the phone, controller display is back. I just bought it thinking of return.
The wires coming out of it aren't very long. You need an extension cable if you're hooking it up to a power station like I am. If not, the cable to the little included charge controller is decently long. I don't have it here with me right now so I can't tell you how long it is. Idk the gauge of the wires.
Sorry, but this is all I had to offer with the free software I've been using. It doesn't allow me to put the text anywhere I want it. Very frustrating...
It comes with its own controller. You don't have to use it if you are plugging into a power station, such as I'm doing. Regardless, you can find adapter cables for almost all situations.
@@freedomdove ok I owe an apology and a thank you for your time. The box of the panels were so slim and light that I glossed to over an entire bag of cables, connectors, and adaptors. I feel really dumb right now, I am cancelling my Amazon request to return and leaving a positive review. Again thank you for your time and sorry for my negligence and stupidity

I guess you can be glad it even worked. I noticed they send very short wires. Good thing you already had some knowledge about solar.

Interesting. I know nothing about solar but I really am interested. Thanks for sharing. Sherry

Muito obrigado nota 10 👍
My Dokio 300 came the exact same way when I received it. I thought the delivery ppl cut the box open but apparently this is normal

When I'm charging a phone, my screen goes blank.
Can you use this panel to charge the Maxoak Bluetti EB150?
Yes, but it looks like you'll need an adapter cable since the Dokio uses SAE.
Straight from China.
Of course. Lol.
What is the size of the wires and how long?

I got sold a solar panel that doesn't fit either of my two controllers. Product is going back immediately
