    Just this morning, I ordered a Seiko Sumo and a Crown&Buckle NATO. Next week, when they get here, I'll use your method. Thanx!!

    Worth remembering that the only reason for the extra bulk of the 'NATO' strap, as opposed to the 'Single-pass' strap, is to prevent the watch slipping off the strap when you take it off the wrist. Single pass straps are often secured in the right place with a few stitches through one side of the band and round the spring bar. With care, and the correct colour thread, this can be done invisibly.

    Great video, I recently bought a new quartz watch and a NATO strap for it. The watch came with a leather band, but your video still helped.

    wow ! what a professional job! I'm cringing at the thought of getting my steel strap removed so I can play around myself with leather nato & woven ones ♡...I'm fussy so any errors or scratches will piss me right off..my Tudor is 1 day old 😢

      could always have a local jewellery shop do it, most would do it for free or a few dollars

      sadly I've had a few nice watches badly scratched up courtesy of so called trained Authorised Dealers 😑...makes u paranoid in the end...will get the steel bracelet removed VERY carefully then I can pop on different nato straps myself 😉

    wow thats pretty awesome! I never really considered NATO straps before, but I'm pretty interested now that my leather strap is falling apart on my seiko 5 automatic (leather straps only a few months old :( ) so hoping to get a nice NATO that will be more durable and STYLISH!! so basically i just need to take off my leather straps, take the pins out and put them in the watch and the NATO strap just slide right on it?

    • @jensrb50
      @jensrb50 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      late but yes .Just slide it in

    • @timlipinski2571
      @timlipinski2571 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      And also you have to lose/break both pins to lose the watch ! tjl

    I really do not see how the tape will prevent a scratch from the tool you are using. that metal tool would cut right through it and scratch the watch. best just to be very very careful IMOP.

    • @FutureXXD
      @FutureXXD 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just another type of strap. you got the leather strap, plastic strap, so nato is just another kind. Google it for more info.

    The last step is incorrect, the strap should be fastened in standard d ring format
