@@kristopherk5454 The original wiring would have the neck pickup on the middle position of the switch. The "neck" position introduces a resistor that rolls off almost all high end. It was supposed to mimic a bass sound. Many old Telecasters were converted to the now standard bridge - both - neck wiring because that sound is almost unusable, but this guitar seems to be stock. So yes, neck pickup.
A good while back, I came to the conclusion that the '56 version of the Stratocaster was the best sounding '50s Fender made. I have now concluded that the '56 Telecaster sets right beside it. Musta been something in the calendar ...
Un-freaking believable. If I hadn't just watched and listened, I'd never believe it. AMAZING!
Mike Seal is not listened to, he is savored like a good wine... Wonderful guitarist, happy new year to you and him !
That was utterly sublimely fantastic!
Mike using those toneful fingers and classic solid bodies in glorious ways. Impressed again!
Are you kidding me man that was incredible. What a guitar and what a song
Such a delicate touch! Just beautiful. Nice guitar too!
This is also how telecasters are meant to played. Well done.
This is the first time I've heard a Telecaster sound like this …
Fantastic balance with that beautiful warmth on the neck
To me, the most sublime guitarist.
God that neck pickup sounds heavenly.
Is the pickup selector in the middle position?

Ooooh yeah. Now it makes sense.
Wow!
Fantastic! This song is Slumber My Darling. I know it from the YoYo Ma/Alison Krauss collab.
60 cycle hum bliss.
