This video couldn't have come at a better time, thank you! I'm going on holidays to Switzerland this weekend, and will be in Lugano the following weekend 😀 I can't wait, it all looks so beautiful!
To get to the cup (top) of Monte Brè, Pasturenzi and I bought two round-trip RailAway tickets in a cumulative service from Chiasso which includes: SBB train, funicular from Lugano railway station to the historic centre, trolleybus to Cassarate and funicular in two sections. If you arrive from Menaggio via Porlezza, from the Cassarate terminus to the valley station of the funicular it takes only a few steps to walk. Don't forget powerful binoculars!
The walk to Monte Bre if you take the bus 12 is quite longer than 12 minutes. Google maps says the walk is 20 minutes. But the whole walk consists of steep stairs, which cause the walk to take around 30 minutes.
funicular to Monte Brè (2 single-track sections with Abt-type switches without needles at the central doubling): how many know that the famous Genoese Righi funicular takes its name from the Swiss Rigi rack railway? The pronunciation is identical.
Minute 2:28 The name in Italian is "ricotta" and not "caracotta". Subtitles to fix. Thank you very much for your attention. We welcome the opportunity to extend our best regards

Navigation company on Lake Maggiore (Verbano): intermediate stops are allowed only on the Swiss basin, such as with trains and postal buses; on the Italian basin, once disembarked, the single journey ticket is no longer of any value and is non-refundable, the same with long-distance Italian trains. On the Locarno - Domodossola railway, in order to get on and off as you please in international traffic, you need a ticket at the FFS rate; the "Tourist" ticket allows one stop only.
hi, nice to see your itinerary, i would like to ask how and where to buy the half - fate card? is it necessary for me to buy that card, since i will stay only for 2 days in Lugano, october 7-9, 2023..
If it’s only two days probably not as u will alr have the free Ticino card provided by the hotel and u will get free bus and train transport within Lugano and the surrounding cities. U will also get a 20% discount for mountain excursions to monte bre/ San Salvatore etc.
I felt like I was in a different world when I was in Lugano-- A world of infinite peace and beauty of nature at it's finest.

You are welcome
Nice recommendations!
Can you guide us on how to check if any of the cruise is cover under Swiss travel pass?
There is no need to check. All cruises are covered by the swiss travel pass! That’s the reason why you pay an arm and a leg for it! 🤣
@@Olliechinny ar I see, but how about those cruises that include lunch/dinner? Do we get %?

Heyy olivia i am planned to do my Post graduate in Swiss Wat about living cots in Swiss and what is the major language spoken by people in Swiss????? 😊
Bellinzona is the capital of Ticino.

may i know what’s the largest denomination of franc notes that most shops will accept in switzerland?
500? They give change without blinking an eye. It’s normal for locals to use large cash denominations here
Not the capital city of Ticino. It is Bellinzona. ;-)
The capital of Ticino is Bellinzona! Please be more mindful despite I appreciate you promoting my Canton
Love the video, but you got something mixed up, Lugano isn't the capital of Ticino, Bellinzona would be that.
Thank you for the correction! I definitely would keep that in mind! 🙂
@@Olliechinny No worries, after all it's something even my fellow Swiss get wrong at times. And yes I had to look it up myself to confirm it 😅
Why the loud music which makes it difficult to hear what you say ?
Visite de Lugano : on a d'abord l'impression qu'ils de pensent qu'à manger...mais le tourisme suit !
Lugano is not the capital of Ticino! This is Bellinzona
Music is too loud !
Whats the best month to visit Switzerland 🇨🇭?
September, without a doubt!
Lugano is not the capital of Canton Ticino! The capital of Ticino is Bellinzona! 😂
Oh my commie daddy's daughter comes to visit lugano.
