As a fellow NEET aspirant, I decided to make a good timetable with only 5.5-6hrs of sleep, followed it for 2-3 days and alas wasn’t able to grab a single thing! & then when I got approx 7-8 hrs of sleep, in less period of time, I could study MORE than waking up at 6 in the morning! It is not how less time you sleep, it is how much percentage of awake time you are using efficiently. If you have a vision and can study and apply for eight 30 minute sessions everyday for 5-10 years, you may not get into IIT, but your chances of a successful journey are greatly improved

I have also observed that getting only 1 hour (7 hour sleep) extra sleep have drastic improvement in brain's learning capabilities. Brain converts short term memory into long term memory during sleep. I am glad that he is not like other self proclaimed motivational Guru who claim that sleep and having occasional fun is waste of time.
