Talking about scraping faces.... I was like 10 and the vert ramp was a half an hour walk/skate from my place. I lived on a dirt road where the dirt was hard enough to still skate down on those old 80's cockroach wheels. Went to speed check slide and caught a edge slid on my face and fully messed it up, slid on my face and side, blood pouring out. Went back to my house and ran my face under water out the back of the house while mum's inside to get the grit and dirt out..... Then still walked the half an hour after that to skate the ramp because I was that keen. Got picked up from that session and mum's like wtf happened to your face!?! Told her I slid out on the ramp. The next week had every person I came in contact with go what the hell happened to your face? Never revealed what happened. But I got a sweet pair of vision shorts out of it because Mum felt so bad I'd taken a bad slam. 😅

I loved Wolfe's story about crashing the motorcycle on gravel while he was a kid and learned from then on to always wear your gear. Similar thing happened when I was 11, riding an mx80 in shorts. Was only moving the bike from the shed to the garage so I could refill the oil and gas, then I was going to dress up and ride. Ended up eating shit , scraping my knee across the gravel and just mangled it. I still have no feeling on the skin of my knee 20 years later. But I never rode again without gear

I have agree with laser flips , i tried so hard till my hip gave up and then i figured out bigspin heelflips (big heel) ,witch i landed within hour (fakie ones easier ) . And thing what i heard about laser flips its easier to do from stairs . Makes sense insted of 270 what you got ,you can get a little bit extra airtime .
