from my testing you can time the grab to come out the second ferra touches your back(something the other attacks can't do) making it so the opponent can't just mindless poke out on block. It's low damage but it does at least provide some semblance of a threat to allow you to threaten with the other attacks you can also immediately do torr stance back step and it can dodge a lot of s1 and d1s if the person is trying to interrupt you on reaction to Ferra coming out instead of just making the read, and you can cancel the backstep with a ferra attack. This is more risky than just doing the command grab though.
I'm 31 now and I think my reflexes aren't as tight as they use to be. I've always played quick, comp shooters and overall pretty decent at MK but some of the reflexes this game takes... my laawd
Problem with ferra is that even if player wants it's almost impossible to time her on same time all the the time since it's not a cancel rather just whenever she's on you back you input the mix (s3 s2 etc). In order to understand this just take Ashrah for example - her 22 into Ferra overhead cannot be interrupted if done properly on block(except armor). However why I am trying to that myself and record ai to poke me inbetween 5 out ot 10 i mistime it.
Even with “irruption” still hard to block I step back anytime I call her out and wait for you to react then I punish or I use her as a projectile the low is almost full screen you can throw her full screen and her tick though or whatever it is is almost unblockable and unduckable
@@Peaterbeaterchickeneater I mean there is always counter play. if you step back than your opponent can do forward advancing move and catch you depending on the character. its a fighting game, there will always be options upon options.
If they call ferra in within the middle of string and not the end, you cant interrupt and they can get pain and gain active. It has armor so youll have to be quick with a multi hitting string as you see them activating it. This usually works for them because no one is expecting buff in the face.

I love how most cases of fuzzy guards in mk1 aren’t an end all be all counter
true, but they do cover a lot of options
The command grab is where she becomes more threatening
the command grab def helps, at least it only does 100 damage
I was gonna come here to say that grab is what gonna make the op pause
@@GugieMonster yeah not being able to interupt or tech the grab is really great for ferra.
Can’t fuzzy the command grab 😁if your blocking your getting grabbed by me or I’ll finish the string

Thank you for this
Very informative, much appreciated fam
Why didn't I think of just interrupting the attack... thanks for showing counterplay to ferra
welcome
Top vids as always thx a lot!
thank you
Ferra Liu, Geras or Havik is insane lol an don’t forget sub zero 😤
You can always delay the low if they're respecting
Nevermind I commented before I finished. My apologies.

yeah, the timing can be tricky off of some strings
Would interrupting work on Omni man’s f3

What if you get caught in a vortex🥲
Man, I just ex armor when they call her. I only get hit my the mix when Im sleepy lol.
armor def works also.
Funny you had to make a video on this
why is it funny. some people are beginners and don't understand things.

Does buttons lose to ferra, pain and gain, then armor? Or do you have time to react to all that?

Great info but why does it sound like you’re on a phone from 2001 😂
