First time watching your channel. I love that lots of the budgeting community is hitting high savings goals. What I don’t see that much of is people explaining their non negotiable things, what stopped spending to save, strategies, etc. (outside of the obvious using savings challenges). It’s not a how to video it’s more of how much did I save in x amount of time. I don’t know if you had prior videos explaining because haven’t watched before but just making an observation after seeing this same type of video from many others. I also couldn’t watch all counting so I exited before the end. It’s not meant to harm.
I agree! These budget/saving channels are saving $30k in a year. What if you don't make $30k or if your bills don't allow you to save $30k. I would rather see how you are saving than the amount. Stuffing a 100 day one when you are trying to feed a family and pay bills seems a bit extreme. I think if I could save $30K I wouldn't need a budget!
I agree with you I want to know how these people are meeting goals. what kind of work do they do? are they doing side hustles? how are the goals being met? this is why I mostly stopped watching the cash stuffing videos.
@@wickedwhimzee I stopped also and took a look back. I also, feel like they are just doing the art of shuffling money. I mean who pays a bill in cash today. Most places send e-bills and when you are saying you rolled and got put in $18 than put in a $20 than what is the point of rolling a dice.
@@KColes63I feel you, they do need more videos on how to save it, but for me, I do make over 100K and I am a single parent of 2 kids. I don’t have any consumer debt (credit cards) only my mortgage so it’s easy for me to save 20k or more if I don’t eat out a lot. I think it starts with how much you make then add on if you have a spouse. In most of these videos when folks are saving 20-40K a year, they have two working incomes in the house. But it’s easy to save when you’re not in debt! I don’t make budget videos but if you wanna save money get out of debt. (How do u do that people say!?) Pay your bills and pay them on time! Your credit will shoot up and you’ll have more money to save!

How do you do all these challenges? Where is the money coming from? There is no way I could fill all these challenges and maintain my home and all the bill that are regulars. With only one income. Help!
When I started I was told that savings challenges are supposed to be challenging not impossible. Realistically, I don't have $30K to save but I could do a $5K or even a 10K challenge if I pushed it. I have a family member doing these challenges and she literally works 3 jobs. But she is doing it to pay off debt.

Both my husband and I work full time and combine our expenses. I get paid bi weekly and he gets paid weekly. I do a a monthly income breakdown and paycheck breakdown every week prior cash stuffing. I make sure all of our bills are paid and cash stuff what is left over. Lid it’s a magic month, we use a portion of that money to build our checking account buffer. Prior to budgeting we spent a lot a didn’t save as much as we could. Every little bit counts, big or small.

Hi Mek! Thank you so much and welcome to my channel. A lot of the challenges finished early on in the year. It can get overwhelming, I didn’t finish of challenges. The main challenges that I stuffed every week was less stressful because I gave myself 12 months. Setting a time frame can help. I have high priority and low priority savings. Congratulations that is incredible! However I would be terrified to keep all that cash in my home. What if there is a fire, flood, or break in? Every quarter or so I would put that in my High Yield Savings Account and let it earn interest then use place holders to keep track of what I saved. It’ll be a much quicker and accurate way to count at the end of the year.

My journey started 4 years ago after years of just spending and barely saving. During Covid I was on paid leave for 5 months and started saving so much money. I went and got my self a planner after watching Dave Ramsey’s baby steps. I was hooked. My savings goals to save more towards retirement, pay off our mortgage and invest in rental properties😊
how do you get your nails that long. Mine won´t grow. I am saving up for a communion for my daughter. She has that in 2 years. But we need a lot atleast 5000 euros. i am from the Netherlands and in the south where i live we celebrate it big. And it is very expensive the food, the dress, the cake, the drinks, a venue when she want that. It is just so much we need to have to plan this into a special event. And i want to decide everything on my own and no family should decide on that. Well my husband he can ofcourse.

Hi Mek! Thank you so much and welcome to my channel. A lot of the challenges finished early on in the year. It can get overwhelming, I didn’t finish of challenges. The main challenges that I stuffed every week was less stressful because I gave myself 12 months. Setting a time frame can help. I have high priority and low priority savings. Congratulations that is incredible! However I would be terrified to keep all that cash in my home. What if there is a fire, flood, or break in? Every quarter or so I would put that in my High Yield Savings Account and let it earn interest then use place holders to keep track of what I saved. It’ll be a much quicker and accurate way to count at the end of the year.
Hi! Thank you so much 😊 The money is kept in a fireproof safe. I only take out my emergency funds, debt and other revolving sinking funds.

Hi! Yes, my husband and I work full time and combine our expenses. I get paid bi weekly and he’s paid weekly. Makes it much easier. There is always a paycheck to budget. I’m truly blessed 🩵

I applaud you for this amazing achievement, but also want to provide some thoughts on how your channel could help folks like me. I DO think consistency is important, so good job with that! But I'm left wondering what your own journey has been, and what you plan to do with your savings. My journey started 4 years ago after years of just spending and barely saving. During Covid I was on paid leave for 5 months and started saving so much money. I went and got my self a planner after watching Dave Ramsey’s baby steps. I was hooked. My savings goals to save more towards retirement, pay off our mortgage and invest in rental properties😊

how do you get your nails that long. Mine won´t grow. I am saving up for a communion for my daughter. She has that in 2 years. But we need a lot atleast 5000 euros. i am from the Netherlands and in the south where i live we celebrate it big. And it is very expensive the food, the dress, the cake, the drinks, a venue when she want that. It is just so much we need to have to plan this into a special event. And i want to decide everything on my own and no family should decide on that. Well my husband he can ofcourse.
